Hey everyone, minis, also called minipets, are vanity pets in Guild Wars 2. They cannot fight or provide any combat advantages but they can follow you around and look cute! There are roughly about 100 minis in GW2 so far in the open beta and you can expect more to come when the game is released. Minis are modeled on some of the enemies you might have encountered, certain NPCs, and some famous characters in the GW2 universe.
Currently there are two ways to obtain minipets – you can buy a pack of 3 random minis for 300 gems in the gem store or purchase individual minis on the trading post (they go as low as 1 silver to high as 3 gold in the beta weekends, 10-20 silvers are common prices). Alternatively, if you have duplicate pets, you can try your hand at the mystic forge located in the Trader’s Forum in Lion’s Arch. Placing 4 minipets into the forge will give you 1 random pet back!
In your bank, there is a collectibles tab with a section for mini pets. With some of the minis, you can right click on them and select Deposit Collectible to send them to that section of the bank. However, there are quite a few minis that currently cannot be stored in the bank yet (this might changed in the next BWE).
Anyways, here is a list of minis and some pictures of the minis I have managed to snatch. Click on the links in the table below to see the images or just scroll down if you want to browse through!
Minis are divided into 4 categories: Fine (common), Masterwork (uncommon), Rare, and Exotic. Note that this list does not include the HoM minipets as they are not in-game yet!
