To be the relief of many players, Martin Kerstein confirmed that not receiving Guild Commendations when guesting is a bug and not intended behavior.
We are aware that there currently is an issue with receiving guild recommendations when you guest for a chapter of your guild on another server, we are working on a solution as this is not an intended behavior.
