SWTOR Well Connected Makeb achievement guide

A guide for getting the SWTOR achievement Well Connected under Location –> Makeb –> Makeb Imperial Forces. This achievement is worth 25 points and requires you do complete the various staged weeklies in a specific pattern.

Complete all possible interconnections in the weekly mission Contain and Control for the Makeb Imperial forces.
Note that these sub-achievements probably require you to do the required missions in the same week. You cannot obtain all of the sub-achievements within the same week (it will probably take 2-3 weeks if you are starting from scratch).

Starting from Scratch

Credit to Re_evan on the comment section for this. You can either do this with one character or with multiple characters to speed it up. Just have the other characters do week 2 or 3.

    Thanks Dulfy!

Looking forward to the Republic side as well :)

  • Keeva

The Republic’s side has already been figured out. It’s just that one step is apparently bugged and the achievement cannot be done.

If you’re looking for information on them, there’s a thread in the flashpoints/ops/hc missions subforum that details how to acquire them.
Nevertheless I wonder if Dulfy is able to figure out a way around that bug. We never know. Anyways, thanks for the Imperial guide.

    • jondifool

Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records

Do [STAGE 1] False History first and then [STAGE 2] Landing Party
      doesn’t work for me

      • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

When you pick up Landing Party after False history, you should hear Under Moff saying a whole bunch of Jedi just got called over to the Archives. They’re about to find eveything you planted there.

        • http://twitter.com/ooryl2 Tim Smith

We got that message this week, but my wife didn’t get credit for it (I had got it a few weeks back somehow). Wonder if your character needs to be the one clicking the terminals in False History to get the credit

          • Christer Boräng

Quite possible. One of us got the achievement, not the other two, when we did it just a few minutes ago.

    • Guest

Confirmed the bug is still there, got the message from Jace Malcolm about mercs having been sent to the abandoned mining mesa as I entered the story area on Gravity Hook 4, but even after I completed Counterstrike(H2) and the hostage rescue part it did not update.

You can use this thread to see the Republic version of this achievement until Dufly can make a proper guide.

  • Darth_Bob

Are you sure that the only step required to unlock “Terrified the People of Westwater Settlements” is just simply doing [STAGE 2]: Local Trouble and its bonus, Build a Network?
I did Local Trouble and its bonus on two different characters today and I didn’t get “Terrified the People of Westwater Settlements”. I thought one was just bugged and did it again on a different character but two characters can’t be coincidence.
Perhaps there is another quest involved to get this part?

    • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

okay, I know another guildie that didn’t get this sub-achievement either for doing Local Troubles. I did this with a friend and he got it. The exactly sequence of missions he did was

[STAGE 1] [HEROIC 4] Sharing the Blame -> [STAGE 1][HEROIC 2] False Data -> [STAGE 1] Inciting Incident -> Interlude -> [STAGE 2] [HEROIC 4] Weapons Test -> [STAGE 2] The Dissonance Wave -> [STAGE 2] Local Troubles.

I am wondering if the heroic 4 weapons test is involved.

      • Hux

I did Weapons Test -> Dissonance Wave -> Local Trouble and did not receive the subachievement, so that can’t be it.

        • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

Then I am thinking one of the three stage 1 missions are involved. Maybe Sharing the Blame or Inciting Incident.

          • Fo-Grenu

I was doing this one first: Diverted Mercenaries to the Fingers away from the Cartel Mining Mesa

But to fill in the Stage 1 quests I did: Covering Your Tracks (Did not do bonus) and A Trace of Guilt. Do not remember order of completion.

            Did not receive sub-achievement.

          • Lakes

I think it is sharing the blame in that case. I had it completed before I did Inciting incident fronter first time. That means I also didn’t have weapon test. I did Sharing the Blame as my first mission the first 3. Or so seks I did this, so I guess that could be right.

      • http://twitter.com/BoricuaGRC GRC

Dulfy. Ellyria and I on Ebon Hawk server just did this order and I got the Sub-Achievement for “Terrified The People of Westwater Settlements.”

Stage 1 Heroic 4 Sharing the Blame / Stage 1 Heroic 2 False Data /
Stage 1 Clean Bill of Health / Interlude / Stage 2 Landing Party / Stage
2 Dissonance Wave / Stage 2 Local Troubles.

The Quest that I think are linked are Stage 1 Heroic 4 Sharing the Blame to Stage 2 Dissonance Wave to Stage 2 Local Troubles.

I purposely chose not to do Inciting Incident and Heroic 4 Weapons
Test to disprove that they are NOT needed in order to complete the above
        mentioned sub achievement.

As soon as we got to Stage 2 Local Troubles it requires you to pick up a “Ion Surge Emitter” when we did this a message popped up in chat saying the following:

“That Data you planted on Telemur has got the civilians spooked. They think the mercs will flatten the mesa. Well need to coax them out.”

Telemur is where the Heroic 4 Sharing the Blame is.

Hope this helps. Ellyria I think is putting somethin on the SW:TOR official forums.

        • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

Okay added thanks. I am assuming the post you made earlier is incorrect?

          • http://twitter.com/BoricuaGRC GRC

Yea the one as “Guest” :D Sorry about the double post. I tried to delete it.

            • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

No worries, I deleted it so as to not cause any confusion.

  • http://twitter.com/ooryl2 Tim Smith

Got Diverted Mercenaries the other day, just have to do Weapons Test before Dissonance Wave. When you get to the last part of Dissonance Wave you’re notified the mercenaries are diverting

    • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

so stage 1 inciting incident is not needed?

      • http://twitter.com/ooryl2 Tim Smith

I was looking at your list wrong, confused the Volcanic Mesa Diversion with the Cartel Mining Mesa one. Inciting Incident is needed to open Weapons test, so yeah it’s needed for the Cartel Diversion

  • MaD

I can confirm ” Diverted Mercenaries to the Volcanic Mesa ” with this

[STAGE 1] Covering Your Tracks >> Smuggler’s Den >> Landing Party

    That is all u need

    • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

      cool thank you

    • MJade

I did it like this: Covering Your Tracks->(A Trace of Guilt)->([Heroic 2] False History)->Smuggler’s Den->Landing Party, trying to combine 2: “Diverted Mercenaries to the Volcanic Mesa” and “Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records” and I got neither… If they cannot be combined like that and u need to do them exactly the one after the other.. I think that means u need more than 3 runs…. :(

  • Sylin

I’m confused–the guide says to do stage 1 missions, then stage 2 missions, and then back to stage 1 again. Don’t the S1 missions disappear from the terminal when you’ve completed 3 of them? Or does the particular sequence keep those missions on the terminal?

    • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

For which sub-achievement? they are all stage 1 missions first and then stage 2 missions

      • Sylin

        The guide says:

        Bobby Trapped the Abandoned Drill
Completed [STAGE 1] Covering Your Tracks (could be bonus objective)
Complete Bonus Objective “Frinn Mesa Followup”

Do [STAGE 1] Clean Bill of Health first and you will notice a console right beside the shipping terminal you need to click forSlice the Hutt Embassy Archives in [STAGE 1] Twisting the Truth

Create a Dissonance Wave at the Cartel Mining Mesa
Do [STAGE 2] The Dissonance Wave first and then [STAGE 2] Eviction Notice.

Diverted Mercenaries to the Fingers away from the Cartel Mining Mesa
Do [STAGE 1] Inciting Incident, STAGE 2][HEROIC 4] Weapons Test and then [STAGE 2] The Dissonance Wave

Am I mis-reading the guide? Some of these missions repeat, and others have you jumping from Stage 2 back to Stage 1 to do them in the proper sequence. Or does this achievement take multiple weeks to complete? I guess I just don’t get the order listed in the guide. From the way it’s written, it makes it sound like you have to do

        [STAGE 1] Covering Your Tracks
[STAGE 1] Clean Bill of Health
        [STAGE 1] Twisting the Truth
        [STAGE 2] The Dissonance Wave
        [STAGE 2] Eviction Notice
        [STAGE 1] Inciting Incident
        [STAGE 2][HEROIC 4] Weapons Test
        [STAGE 2] Dissonance Wave

and so on, and so on, until you conclude with [STAGE 1] A Trace of Guilt and then [STAGE 2] Smuggler’s Den at the end of the guide.

        What am I missing?

        • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

Yes it will take multiple weeks to complete it all. You can’t do this in a single week. I guess that was where the confusion was. The guide kinda assume you already have some completed and not start from scratch.

          • Sylin

So once you do Bobby Trapped the Abandoned Drill and Create a Dissonance Wave at the Cartel Mining Mesa (three stage 1 missions and two stage 2 missions) do you have to stop until the following week, since the next mission in the sequence is a stage 1?

Thanks in advance for clarifying for me. I promise I’m not normally this daft. :)

            • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

Sort of, you don’t have to them the achievements in sequence either. But yes if you want to get 1) Bobby Trapped the Abandoned Drill 2) Complete Bonus Objective “Frinn Mesa Followup and 3) Create a Dissonance Wave at the Cartel Mining Mesa and 4) Unlocked and Completed the Mission “Local Trouble” this week you will need to wait until next week to complete the other ones.

  • Lakes

I can confirm that the “Diverted Mercenaries to the Volcanic Mesa” does not require Eviction Notice. I had it checked before I had completed it that week. Still did the other two on the order above.

I can also confirm that”Terrified the people of the Westwater Settlements” does NOT require “[Heroic2] False Data”. I checked which one I had to see which of the results I should get last week and I noticed I had this one done despite never having done this Heroic.

  • Dredgion

I just did [STAGE 2] Dissonance Wave and then [STAGE 2] Local Trouble followed by [STAGE 2] Eviction Notice and got credit for unlocking [STAGE 2] Local Trouble, and Created a Dissonance Wave at the Cartel Mining Mesa. So, you don’t need to do Eviction Notice right after Dissonance Wave to get part of the achievement as long as you do Dissonance Wave first.

  • BlahBlah

How can you do Stage 2 quests after only doing one Stage 1 quest?

  • Neene

Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records
Do [STAGE 1] False History first and then [STAGE 2] Landing Party
I did these quests, but didn’t get the achievement :(

    • Rick

Samething happened to me……Did False History then Landing Party…..no achievement.

      • freimensch

Got this problem 3 times in a row already – I have clicked all terminals (in False History), do all bonuses – but still not completed

        • freimensch

So, done this H2 solo, and after accepting Landing Party got Under-moff words: “A whole bunch of Jedi got called over to the Archives. They’re about to find everything you planted there.”
After completing it (btw, there is no any Jedi in story area in this case) – finally got my achievement.

          • theGrimSleeper

the jedi being mentioned are the Cathar Jedi that you would have had to fight inside the instances in this quest. instead they are going to the archives, leaving you to fight a little bit easier, but still elite, tarlam militia commander mob in their place

  • Neene

Inciting Incident is bugged for me – can’t get the binoculars to work, always says I am in the wrong place :(

  • MJade

How many weeks its supposed to take starting from scratch? on rep side its possible in 3 weeks… This one… I cannot plan it perfectly… It sais “(it will probably take 2-3 weeks if you are starting from scratch)” But I dont c how… Maybe its just me but Im confused..

    • MJade

I made a spreadsheet and a plan, if it works out, I ll post it here :)

      • MJade

        1) Covering Your Tracks->A Trace of Guilt->([Heroic 2] False History)->Smuggler’s Den->Landing Party, combining 2: “Diverted Mercenaries to the Volcanic Mesa” and “Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records”. At first it bugged but next time I logged, I had both.
        2) Inciting Incident->[HEROIC 4] Sharing the Blame->random->The Dissonance Wave->Eviction Notice->Local Trouble and I got both Dissonance Wave at the Cartel Mining Mesa & Terrified The People of Westwater Settlements.

  • yellow-power ftw

I need only the “Unlock Bonus Objective “Tracing Guilt” in the Smuggler’s Den mission” and done it as in this page says 2 times and i didnt get the achievement… Do you miss something maybe?

  • Dan

Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records
Do [STAGE 1] False History first and then [STAGE 2] Landing Party
I did these quests, but didn’t get the achievement

    • evan

have to do false data yourself, as you should be the only one activating the panels. i ran it with guild member who did not have the mission then got it later down the line after finishign what i had to do.

  • Big Red = Dread Seed area

I worked out the quickest path to do all stages if anybody is interested (blank is any)

    • Sadriel_Fett

      Awesome walk through. Thanks, mate.

  • insomnia

isnt [STAGE 1] False History the HC2+ ?

  • Pingback: SWTOR Makeb Weekly Achievements being removed in 4.0 - Dulfy()

  • Gabriel Mican

Can you work on this with multiple characters at a time!?

    • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

      Yup!

      • Gabriel Mican

        Thanks Dulfy :)

        • Gabriel Mican

Update: I did everything according to the guide. Did not get the achievement. Maybe it’s a bug? :(

          • Anthony Markham

Yeah, I did week 3 exactly as it is documented and did not get the “Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records” achievement.

I eventually went back and did the [STAGE 1] Heroic 2+ – False History SOLO with my Assasin and only then upon completing [STAGE 2] Landing Party did I actually get the final achievement.

            • http://dulfy.net/ Dulfy

Weird bug, so you need to do False History solo to get the credit?

              • Ben Hobson

I had it last week, a guildie told me that you must kill all mobs, the elites in particular, inside the false history instance. I am about to try it again this week, will let you know the results.

Thus I recommend to anyone doing false history, make sure your partner does not enter and start clearing before you get there.

              • Ben Hobson

Did not work. I made sure that I had finished the bonus this time and still I didn’t get “Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records”

              • Ben Hobson

I have since gotten it to work. The player who wants to receive the achievement must be the one who clicks the large terminal at the end of each room. It is recommended that you get help from someone who is not on the quest. If both parties need it, have on drop the quest and run it twice.

              • Bathazar Xavier

glad to see i’m not crazy. i have a couple more toons to try it on this week so i appreciate you guys commenting. i knew something was bugged right away but went on to do some other things before checking here. thank you all for being helpful.

              • fluff

sadly this is not true either. i ran them both today. i was the only one on false history. killed all mobs, bonus, did the clicking, etc. no credit. now have to wait until tuesday to try again.

              • Ben Hobson

Are you certain? This same info was passed onto guildies and it has succeeded for all of us. Make sure you do landing party in the second wave. Does not trigger until then.

              • Anthony Markham

I have heard that doing it with only 1 person actually on the mission might work too…

I have yet to prove this however…

          • mike

same as below did not do get achievement logged in on my sorcerer and soloed it and got achievement , i think as long as you are the only person with quest you may be able to do it in group but only you can have quest imo , But deffo get it solo but had to pickup pace with gas as i died a few times.

  • Sisqi

Just wanted to say, there is a slight typo in the third week. It says Tracing Guilt but it should be A Trace of Guilt.

    • Sisqi

And the bonus mission of Smuggler’s Den is the one that is called Tracing Guilt.

    • Re-evan

      Call it Artistic License ;)

  • Aiko

So i did everything exactly as listed. Alone. Every Bonus. But i didn’t unlock the Smuggler’s Den Bonus.. or i just don’t know how to start it. ._. Help?

  • Miles Carraway

Does anyone know if there is another way to do: Planted False Data in the Tarlam Hall of Records?
It says to Do [STAGE 1] False History first and then [STAGE 2] Landing Party. I’ve done this three weeks in a row and still some how have this step left to do. Its super frustrating as my questing buddy obtained this the first time we did this.
    Any help would be wonderful.

    • http://www.enjin.com/profile/13493206 Atomkick

      Same problem here.

    • Miles Carraway

Finally got it. Had to do the whole chain on my own.

    • April Stiers

I’ve had the same problem. I submitted a ticket about it.

  • Cortaxify

I know the feeling mate…worked on it myself today, 3rd alt Im tried this with to get today and success. I managed it by completing all (Week 3) missions up to finishing landing party solo with all bonus objectives. Thats when i finally got it.
