SWTOR 2.7 PTS March 20 Patch notes

SWTOR Patch 2.7 Patch notes for the PTS update on March 20.

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know that when we were testing the newest build of 2.7 for the PTS, we found a pretty bad bug – if you used an ability, no animation would trigger. For example, Force Charge would leave you standing exactly where you were before, despite the server thinking you were getting facepunched by a K’lor’slug. As funny as I think this is (still not better than the elevator floor dropping people to their certain doom, though), it’s a pretty severe issue that we need to address before we can bring the PTS back up. Our team is looking into it now.
That said, we are not going to be able to bring the PTS up today. I don’t have any information regarding timing, but I will make sure to keep you all updated as I get new information. I’m going to go ahead and put the patch notes in this thread, but as always these are subject to change.
I apologize for the inconvenience, and want to thank you all for continuing to help us test Game Update 2.7!

Oh, nice, Rating instead of Level for Mods and Enhancements. That was super annoying and confusing for me.

I said the same, only WTF!!!! Why did they change that, now it’s impossible to know when to upgrade your gear!!!

I wish the patch did not remove the animations for Assassin/Shadow and Scoundrel/Operative on their stun abilities. Dulfy, is there any chance that those animations could stay intact on this upcoming patch. Lets keep the stuns unique.

Dulfy doesn’t have any say in the matter (I don’t think). This is a third party website, unaffiliated with the SWTOR dev team. That said, it does seem like a strange change. The only reason I can think of, is that maybe characters are getting ‘stuck’ in the knocked-down animation/state and are therefore being cc’d for longer than intended. Other than that I don’t see a meaningful distinction between the two effects.

Knockdowns also stun you for about 0.25 seconds longer than the actual stun time: your character has to get back up after the knockdown. It also looks more brutal and people will complain more about being knocked down than stunned.

I’ve fallen through the ground a few times when my characters where getting up from a knock down, especially from the seismic grenade.

Hi Dulfy,

Great website. I have question about the new gear levels. Will our Ultimate comms allow us to buy the same gear has before with this new patch or will it different?

(ie: ultimates -> 78; elite ->72; etc)

thank you for your time
