Prestige score? We have enough scores already. Let’s recap. We’ve got level, legacy, social, valor, achievement points, reputation, light/dark alignment, companion affection, solo rank, team rank.

How about instead of adding “prestige” we use the existing ranking systems that have been stagnant for months/years like the legacy system stuck at 50 and do something useful with achievement points. I have 13,470 achievement points. Woo-hoo. What does that do for me? Does anyone else care that I have 13,470 achievement points? No? 🙁

Ah, but now you can use those achievements to buy fancy stuff for your house, thus converting the achievement points noone cares about into prestige points noone cares about…
Still, they’ll probably link to some titles or swanky outfits to prestige levels, might make it sorta interesting.

They are talking about specific achievements giving specific decorations. I don’t think we will be able to use our achievement points to purchase decorations.

Now, there will be 3 ways to see if you cleared certain content: Codex, Achievements, and decorations in Stronghold. The latter 2 have a “score” attached to them.

The terminal could possibly be a way to “fast travel” from Fleet to your Stronghold and vise-versa. Just a thought.

it wouldnt work coz u can have more than 1 stronghold and i doubt they gonna add each because the terminal list would be too long then

The “mysterious terminal” is also on Nar Shaddaa on the Promenade and in the casinos. They look like slot machines.

I believe it is just decoration to make it feel like Nar Shaddaa with having a few slot machines. We may or may not be able to rearrange them as decorations.

Does anyone know when we are actually going to receive the Sky Palace and 5 rooms unlocked if we are subscribed on the 11th of May?
Does it mean we can use the Nar Shaddaa Sky Palace right away on the 11th of May or do we merely just unlock it and the additional five rooms for when the subscriber early access begins on the 19th of August?

If you are subscribed by May 11 then on August 19 you get the Nar Shaddaa Sky Palace with the 5 rooms unlocked.

I was gonna ask that.
I, after all, only am a sub beause of a gift. You don’t expect me to go to my boss and say , “Remember that time card you gave me, well I want another 2 of those!”

I’d like to know this too.. Can i subscribe for 1 month on may 10th (for
example) to unlock the Palace and then go back to Preferred?

Don’t take my word for it (it is a theory and this is the internet, take everything said in comments with a grain of salt) but I would imagine if you’re sub May 11 you still get the Sky Palace, but if your sub is lapsed and you are preferred on August 19 you would still have it – but you’d have to wait until Preferred Early Access.

Just my 2 credits.

Prestige? So, whoever has the most stuffed into their stronghold wins. I do hope to be able to buy plastic flamingos and garden gnomes for my “front sand” on Tatooine.
Perhaps you could craft them … but would a plastic animal be armormech or biotech?

And here I thought Artifice would handle my reflection ball in the back yard. I just hope the tank is big enough … there’s always a bigger fish.

My obsession with the game is quickly returning. Love all the Stronghold stuff, I just hope the CM isn’t too heavily embedded to get the most out of them. One can hope right?

as my daddy used to say, “you can wish in one hand and shit in the other, wonder which will be filled first”

If its like what they did with GSF then the cartel market will play very little role in it. They also already stated that everything in Strongholds will be purchaseable with credits or can be made by crafters. Yes the cartel market can play a role but it’s probably going to be similar to how it works in GSF which is you can pay for a premium ship which does the same thing a tier 2 ship can do.

They said most of the stuff you get for Strongholds will be either through rewards from Achievements, Operations and Ranked PvP or buy with credits/made by crafters.

I dont see the legacy bank being something you can put bound items in. After all, that would defeat the purpose of legacy gear wouldn’t it?

But otherwise…what’s the point? If all you can do is share things you can already share via mail, it seems a rather underwhelming feature.

Do you realise how annoying it is for crafters like me to have to constantly send mats all over the place through the mail? Half the time I have no idea where my stuff is. Not to mention the convenience of placing any BoE loot and cartel items in there for other alts to peruse. It will just make the whole system easier, especially for crafters.

I second this. It has been a royal pain in the arse always mailing matts, and trying to remember who has what for crafting. This is the best bone Bioware has thrown crafters in a long time.

By that logic, what’s the point in letting you put bound items in there? You can already transfer any mods through legacy gear through the mail. Why have a GTN when you can trade person to person?

Just because you ‘can’ do something one way doesn’t mean players won’t appreciate having a more convenient method.

“You can already transfer any mods through legacy gear through the mail.” Yeah, if you don’t mind paying 30k credits per modification, since you likely will be paying to extract each mod twice. Plus, sometimes you want to give your alt a bound hull. I have a set of tionese gear from my guardian that I’d really like to give to my juggernaut, since that set isn’t available anymore.

Yeah, and with 3 mods each, that’s 90k per piece of gear. That’s a whole run through a daily theme park just to transfer the mods of 1 piece of gear.
And I’m sure you’re just wallowing in your Scrooge McDuck vault of credits from playing the auction house all day…. right.

I can gear a new 55 in full 72 with some 78’s DAY ONE using legacy gear. It’s not THAT expensive dude, and I am not rich in the game by any means. 500k tops for gearing out a new toon with full purple augments. Do some dailies and get the 500k. Heck do TFB 16m SM and get over 200k just from that.

I’m not saying it can’t be done, only that extracting the mod a second time is an expensive and unnecessary step when you could just extract it once and throw it in the legacy bank.
Let’s look at this another way, and ask why BW wouldn’t want to let us throw bound items in the legacy bank. The obvious reason is because they don’t want to effectively remove the fee associated with unlocking cartel market items account-wide. Okay, fair enough, don’t let the player put bound cartel market items in the legacy bank. Any other issues?

How about because it would remove one of the major credit drains of the game?
Or does inflation not bother you?

Maybe you don’t mind logging back and forth between a bunch of character trying to find who you sent the shared crafting mats to last, but I find it to be a royal pain. If we could put credits in it as well, that would be awesome, and if we could craft directly form it that would be the best. Moving bound items would be of about zero use to me, so not having it would hardly make the feature underwhelming. If you don’t find it useful you don’t have to use it.

Maybe somebody who searches the forums can answer this for me: If I re-sub right now (April 27th), do I still get early access because I have unlocked the Sky Palace, or do I need to be an active sub when early access launches in order to use it?

Well, does this mean that if i lose my subscription before Subscriber early access, but i unlocked the benefits of May 11th, i lose my Stronghold benefits? Or do i gain those benefits i clearly paid for, but with Preffered access status? So on September 16th

I just want to know the cost of the Guild Ships, my guild is small and
mostly not 55’s or ppl with many alts and there is simply no way we
could afford a huge cost….mostly I just want to know so we can either
try to start saving for it now, or decide that it’s an un-reachable goal
and to not bother :/ I guess I should probably just assume it’s not gonna happen, maybe they will put out smaller ships or something….pipe dream I know, it’s just that a Flagship, is literally the coolest thing ever to me.
