The Republic version of “[WEEKLY] Tactical Flashpoints” can now only be accepted by Level 55 characters

Oh boy.. 100k of XP while double is up are gone :/// and also they should have gave us some info about those new gears, now i dont know if to buy CC or screw it cause it will look bad…!

“Using Scamper or Exfiltrate no longer causes players to become indefinitely stuck if used while being knocked back, rooted, or stunned.” Finally !

“Updated the rarity icons for a number of Cartel Market items.” Something tells me this means they’re going to add a new rarity option that surpasses “super rare” and slap it on the rancors and orobirds…

They may give the rancor an ultra rare rarity, which they used to use on the skiff mounts and white crystals

No, its just that the rarity on some of the “rare” items in the last pack was actually “super rare” and they updated the icons to represent that.

(rather than actually correcting the drop rates)

“Get twice the experience from July 1st 07:00 GMT (00:00 PDT) to July 8th 07:00 GMT (00:00 PDT).” i guess they either listened to complaints or previously had a typo, since dbl xp week is actually a week now (:

I preferred the old one, though – this way I feel like I’m wasting my 2xp time, what with the 7h downtime and all. …despite being at work.

I don’t get this Shadow Map thing. I’ve been running it on the maximum setting since they launched it but I’ve also played around with the other medium and high settings and I haven’t noticed any difference even after taking screen shots to compare.

“The Rest and Recharge item “Celebration Mishap” is now available to preview in Collections.”
What’s this now?

I’m assuming it’s either a.) Available to preview on the PTS, or b.) a tongue-in-cheek way of saying they screwed up on the Nar Shaddaa Event and/or Nightlife Packs.

Neither. It means you can preview it on the live server after the patch. It’s most likely a stand-alone regen item, like Dulfy’s recent one.

Everyone keeps saying they’re embargoing the packs because they screwed up the drop rates, but they intentionally designed them with low drop rates and for them to only be around for the event. Whether people are happy about that or not is not relevant to the fact that’s the way they were designed and are “working as intended.”

Wow they screwed up the Rholan Dyre’s armor set. Looks like they brought in someone who designs for french fashion week and tried to call it a Mandalorian set.

yep, I was really looking forward to this set until I saw the game model. i’ll pass now, it’s just stupid looking.

Yep I was going to try my best to get that armour but if that is what it looks like I won’t be bothering as it looks god awful. What is wrong with their art team?

Wait, where did you see the in-game model?

EDIT: Ooooh, I see now… I don’t think that’s the correct model tho.
I have a vague recollection of seeing that model before so I don’t think it’s the right one.

Also, it looks nothing at all like any rholan dyre images and so far they have been pretty close with the lore sets (even the “much disputed” ajunta pall set)

they tried to fix it with invisible walls 2 times already, we’ll see if they actually fix it this time

“A Hypercrate of Club Vertica Nightlife Packs is now available in the Cartel Market. Cost: Cost: 6912 Cartel Coins (Discounted 10% for a limited time!)”

Why do they always say this? As yet I have never seen the 10% discount go off, its on there permanently!

Yeah, it’s basically marketing mumbo-jumbo.
It’s the equivalent of saying “you get 50% off (if you buy 2)” and other dumb marketing word twists.

As for the limited time only… well they do embargo the shipments. And I’m not sure the 10% is there when they bring them back.
And sometimes they are even more than 10% 🙂

Why would they say that? Why can you hassle down so much in some countries? Black Friday sale saying enough for you?
People are greedy by nature, when they smell a bargain they are more likely to act at it. Like Dulfy says: 10% OFF, what savings!! lets buy it.

How much money do you think bioware made with the cartelmarket sales? I for one was opening it up each hour and couldn’t resist to buy stuff I wouldn’t have bought else.

Even the special ‘Dulfy’ regentool was marketing based which made it more appealing to me.

Are they going to make a rancor that costs 2400 cc because I want one so badly spent like 5 mil and 4000 cc on packs and slots and nothing dulfy help please

Then how did you spend 5 mil on slots?
Did you get 350k from dailies and then spend them and then do dailies again over and over?

Besides, even preferred can have 7 million. You just have to use the escrows.

please tell me you didnt buy the kingpin chips

i spent 2.5mil on 50 kingpins I got 3 gold certificates

I then decided to play smart

I spent 500k on 500 smuggler chips and everytime I got a kingpin chip I only used when I got the buff fro the smugglers

at the end I have all 3 mounts, tommy gun, 10+ more golden certifcates left

Lord Modo has taken remedial Sith Lord classes and has learned a new ability! He now uses “Mass Crush” during his Kuat Drive Yard encounter in order to match the Imperial Master Khoris encounter.

I love how they word these

The Republic version of “[WEEKLY] Tactical Flashpoints” can now only be accepted by Level 55 characters. Any players currently on this mission will have their progress reset.

damn my level 29 was on 3/5

Yeah, I “abused” that during the last double xp weekend…
But, it was a bug so I’m not surprised they removed it just in time for the double xp week.

I didn’t even know it was a bug, I just picked it up last double xp weekend thinking it was normal, if I had known it was a bug I’d have abused it to rather than take it at my own leisure

if you want a Rancor use the casino. The drops in the Nightlife pack pack is worst then ever. (4-5 hypercrates and no rancor for many players) You will spend less credits on casino. Casino is open till aug 19th. Again…THE NIGTLIFE PACK HAS RIP OFF DROP RATES. Not like the other previous 16 packs released. FYI

RNG is exactly RNG, if every probability of getting something was static then it wouldn’t be RANDOM.

Secondly, if you can’t put enough sense together to buy the collection rancor on GTN for 5-10 mil (depending on server) and instead buy hypercrates at a GAMBLE then that’s your own problem.

Is the astonishing lack of information about patch 2.9 (from SWTOR, not from Dulfy) any symptom of a potential delay in the upcoming patch?

No it is a symptom of Bioware stupidity and lack of communication. Jeff Hickman continues to plague the gaming industry, embarrass Bioware and not allow customer relations to take place. He prefers to stand at the mirror and flex his internet e-peen at us, to show us who’s (not) boss.

If only 55 players can doweekly OPS then what’s the point of kuat? It’s boring as hell.

Only reason I can see would be to grind out rep and token drops for that loader mount. But you reeeeeeeally have to like that mount to do that…

I don’t understand this question. Kuat may get old fast (and it does), but not sure how that relates to who can do ops. Kuat is more of a leveling flash point, the rewards are not endgame gear oriented, so its point hasn’t really changed with who can do endgame content.

The ‘sploits added to the patch notes:

Classes + Combat
– Powertechs, Vanguards and Assassins are no longer able to use Guard outside of the required stance.
– The interrupt granted by Jarring Strike and K.O. no longer ignores interrupt immunity.
Flashpoints + Operations
– It is no longer possible to avoid Dread Master Brontes’ Supremacy by leaving line of sight during her Dread Fortress encounter.

Bought the Hypercrate of the Club Vertica Nightlife Packs and got ONE chestpiece out of it 🙁 And of course not one of the rarer mounts.

It says double wz comms is running from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2 but I can’t find anywhere about when 2.8.2 IS exactly.. so am I to assume its over today (8th) just like the double XP is or still running till the next maintenance?
