When people are really excited for a new CM item, it usually winds up being uber rare, so I’m keeping my expectations low :’)

Yeah! I hate that mount! I definitely WILL NOT be running dailies non-stop from here until the new packs drop to afford it. I also WILL NOT be saving my cartel coins and spending way more than I should on packs if they happen to be a rare pack drop. And I most certainly will not face the dilemma of whether I should sell the said awesome (er, ugly! yeah!) mount for more money than I need, or keep it and feel like a Super Special Snowflake. Nope. Not me.

I was just thinking that myself, as a matter of fact they look almost identical so I wonder if there would be copyright infringement, after all they would make quite alot of money off 2k’s vehicle concept

It actually really doesn’t look anything like it, that would be like saying they could get in trouble for making mounts that look like cars.

I’d say it looks pretty close to the Hammerhead from the ME2 DLC a well, so I’m pretty sure Bioware doesn’t need to worry about any copyright infringement claims.

Those Lergo mounts looks epic…which means they’ll be ultra-rare cartel pack drops 🙁

I’d better start running those dailies to scrape together the credits for when they hit the GTN.

Ok picture 5 i see at least 1 new hairstyle possibly 2. I hope this is not somekind joke 🙂
Glad they make nice mounts again (real speeders). Got a bit sick of those animal mounts lately.

Finally a decent new mount!! I haven’t bought a new one in several months, and Treek’s highchair Walker mount was hideous, (unless your body type was “Hobbit”).

I’d rather they spend the several hundred thousand dollars that it would cost to create a decent CGI trailer on actual things that will improve the game.

I’d better have a Cgi trailer since we all know they made a shit ton of money this year and we also know they will never fix their stupid loading times or add cross-servers queues and change this archaic ranked system they have… also their shitty engine so You hope all you want !

Well, alright. I’ll wish for what I want, and you can wish for what you want. The difference is, I’ll get new game content, but you’re not going to be getting a new CGI trailer.

Are you serious? The money SWTOR makes doesn’t get put back into the game. Why would you think that’s even a possibility, especially when it comes to EA? The money SWTOR makes generally goes into R&D for other EA products like the new Battlefront game and the SW game that Visceral is working on. It’s also going into the pockets of the people who spent the insane amount of money funding SWTOR as well.

The money SWTOR makes doesn’t go back into the game because the game is successful as is, thus from EA’s point of view they don’t need to spend any more money on it than they have been, so don’t expect anything to change.

Since Blur, the studio who made the CG trailers for SWTOR started charging a million per minute of footage for the trailers they produce. Did you not get the memo? Those trailers are insanely expensive to produce. The 3 that Blur did (Deceived, Hope, Return) total around 15 minutes. That’s 15 million dollars they spent on CG trailers that got them what in the end? Disappointment?

Yes, Bioware did the HK-51 trailer in house, but in case you didn’t notice, it’s the shortest of the CG trailers, and has almost no movement in it. It is nowhere near what the Blur produced trailers are/were. Guess why that is?

Okay, that is the best mount I’ve seen in this game so far. I’m buying one of those, especially if it comes in white/red or black, IMMEDIATELY as soon as they’re released. The Revan themed armor looks really good too. Hopefully there’s a Trooper variant.

I don’t see what’s “Revan themed” about it, tbh. The mask is similar, but considering that Revan’s mask was retconned to be Mandalorian in origin, so does a lot of headgear already present in the game…

The Massassi monster-thing I like a lot, though.

besides it being masked id say the revan theme comes from color

has the, brownish/gold red/black/gray color to it

i wish there was a revan theme dye to give more armor sets that revanite feel ^_^

me too super excited for massassi :} i wonder if we will hear from the spirt of exar kun :o!

Besides the obvious mask design, it just seems to be something he would wear, or something that his forces would wear. We’re already getting his “reborn” outfit, if the previous concept art is to be believed, but this is more of an armor set based off of his “style”.

i love revan, i want his outfit! although i’ll prob use the old gloves.. because i dont like that box on his gloves now :/ xD
i want that statue of naga sadow too!

and those mounts are nice

although im dying for a nexu mount ( black one) 😀
and an acklay mount!!!

kath hound would be nice too.. liked them since kotor!

i love swtor :]

i love you.

Satele kicking butt teamed up with Sith has been described in Fatal Alliance book, I believe (been a while since I read that). But actually seeing that in motion is going to be awesome, agreed.

Something about Marr and Shatele standing next to each other like that feels wrong to me. Correct me if I’m wrong, but both are great warriors. Which makes me wonder why they expose themselves to the other, since they can be either defeated in combat or by backstabbing from the other. And to be honest I can see them both backstabbing, since they will still want to defeat one of the biggest leaders of the opposing parties.

Which makes me wonder how Bioware wants to explain that these two came down to fight themselves, rather than sending lackeys (or “fellow Jedi that are willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the Republic”). Not referring to the playable classes btw.

The reason for them not attacking each other is that the two sides need each other in order to fight Revan, because while players don’t see it, both sides are actually in really bad shape right now. Also, Marr is very different from other Sith.

I know that the two sides need each other, but the death or capture of Marr right now (behind who the Empire is finally uniting) would mean victory to the Republic. I wonder how Bioware is going to create this risk that makes it so necessary for Marr (and Shatele) to actually fight next to each other. I know that both sides are weakened, but are they that weak?

After what happened on Makeb plus what happened on Oricon, yes, they’re both pretty weak, not to mention that the Revanites have infiltrated every facet of both sides; Arkous was on the dark council and the other guy was a Major in the Republic army. With the Revanites most likely coming out into the open now, everyone in the Empire and the Republic who is a member will be deserting.

a major in spec forces to be specific, I’d LOOOVE to know if Garza is getting canned. the woman runs a pretty leaky ship it seems

Which makes me wonder why Shatele and Marr head down though. One unlucky strike and Revan wins. You’re right about the other one not attacking, but it still seems rather risky to me.

Maybe Revan still has spies within both sides and they don’t trust anyone but themselves to do this, or maybe they just don’t trust any of their lackeys to do it in the first place.

Agreed, but that wasn’t the point I tried to make. I am just wondering how Bioware tries to explain the fact that two of the most influential and powerful figures from two factions that are technically still at war with each other would expose themselves to the other.

Marr is probably somewhere along the lines of “lawful evil”, instead of your usual “chaotic evil” breed of Sith. so he understands that he cannot kill Satele, because he would not survive that, and that Revanites present much larger threat that the Empire is unfit to handle on its own.

Well, there are no accounts of how strong Marr is, but Satele’s telekinetic and martial prowess has been described quite a lot in Fatal Alliance book.

However, I did not mean my statement “he would not survive that” as in “Satele would kick his arse” (however, I believe she would, she managed to to it to Malgus), but more in the way that if he tried it, there are enough Republic military and Jedi that someone would eventually land a lucky shot or strike between his eyes.

True, but he doesn’t seem like he’s an idiot either. In other words, why give Shatele an opportunity to eliminate/capture him, if she’s a superior warrior?

See my reply to Fedaykin about how I meant the statement.
And yes, as I said, Marr is “lawful” evil, which under classic DnD definition usually means the character is intelligent to think about what he will do and what the consequences will be

we should wait till the full story is revealed, so that way we can properly praise or destroy the union of the two major forces in the universe.

He might be banking on her honor, and the jedi code, but that’s just my uninformed perspective. Who’s to say one of them *won’t* turn on the other? (I don’t know how much we know between the plot as it stands and where the books/films/etc pick up.)

Kind of neat. I like the mount. That one Revan soldier concept armor kind of reminds me of Destro’s Iron Grenadiers from G.I. Joe.

:-p

If they invested in a CGI trailer like the one for the launch of the game, that would draw in a lot more players most likely to try out the game.

No they wouldn’t. The trailers were made by Blur, who charges a million per minute of footage for their trailers. That type of money would be better spent on the game at this point, not to mention a new CG trailer isn’t going to sway the opinion of anyone for a game that’s been out for years now, especially when it’s F2P and they can try it out whenever they want at their own leisure.

They’d be better off spending the million or so for the ingame trailer to be shown as a commercial after each next Star Wars Rebels episode.

As do half of us Star Wars fans when we’re not dressed up like a Jedi or Darth Vader, we’re almost proud of it. 😉

tl;dr: Don’t be mean.

I don’t think you’re a douche for calling a pig a pig. There’s a reason stereotypes exist. Unfortunatly nerds (the people most likely to attended these type of events) don’t care what they look like. It’s like the woman said “You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig.”

Yeah you’re right about stereotypes existing for a reason, so that lazy thinkers can paint with a broad brush for their own convenience.

So, is it Rishi that’s the level planet and Yavin IV the daylies hub or the other way around? That would be similar to the ROTHC expansion. Is it just me, but there haven’t been that much info about the expansion except for the big Discipline changes? The release is in two weeks as well.

Rishi looks like the “main” planet, and Yavin is for endgame. Still, Yavin seems to have more story than Oricon (the only daily+ops zone we have for comparison)

Rishi is indeed the levelling planet. However its not exactly huge which worries me slightly (see datamined models for spoilers).

How about adding support for newer graphics cards (and SLI) so this game doesn’t run like a pair of hippo testicles ? Every new update just adds piles on piles of glitches. Why can Guild Wars 2 run smoothly and scale properly but this game can’t ? TELL MEH !?!

Seriously. You know when the zerg is coming when the lag spikes hit. I have to turn down everything to keep above 35-40 fps.

Even during WvW I keep everything at max settings and I’m at min 40, avg ~50 (my 3 year old laptop’s screen is 60 Hz, 1366×768 ). GW2 takes advantage of dual graphics cards really well. The ESO Beta I tried would try to melt my laptop during its WvW, but even then I was at 15-30 fps.

On Fleet in SWTOR, I can’t get past 10 fps with max settings on : / Fighting Dreadtooth with 24 peeps I get ~3 fps. And I won’t even mention the random glitches I get in Voidstar and Huttball.

I’m pretty sure they do support the newer graphics cards, I have the GTX 970. No idea about SLI though

I can do hateful entity (one of the most graphically intensive fights) on max settings and get 70+ fps

If those mounts look anything like the concept art they’ll be ugly as sin. They look like quad bikes with fans instead of wheels! Ugh.

I’m bored of Revan. Bored of his messianic rise from the dead, again. Bored of his crappy armour. The pictures of Republic and Empire supposedly working together to fight him just annoy me because they won’t actually allow us to team up in game even though they appear to be advertising that we will. The only thing that sparks my interest in these images is the Massassi warrior. He looks great.

Very excited for this! Though If it weren’t for this archaic game engine maybe they’d give us a second companion to summon in solo mode.

Yes, this so much. I really wanted to experience the Forged Alliances story, but I’ve only now reached Lv. 55 and the few people who got me into the game (and were all 55ers) stopped playing for a bit, so yeah. Hopefully, they’ll make solo FPs available with the 3.0 update… fingers crossed!

Dangit a wookie with a bowcaster, why you gotta tease BW? Those mounts look pretty cool and it is nice to see a whole new style.
