SWTOR Launches Community Event Pre-registration

Something new for this year’s Cantina Tour starting with the Anaheim Cantina Tour in April is a pre-registration program that allow those who registered to earn additional rewards if they attend the registered cantina tour.

Hey folks,
I wanted to tell you about our new Cantina pre-registration page! You can find the page and some more details on it here. However, let me give you the TLDR on the perks of pre-registering for our Cantinas:

  • If you pre-register and attend the Cantina, you are eligible for a pre-registrant exclusive swag drawing!
  • If you pre-register and then redeem that Cantina exclusive pack code, you will receive an additional in-game reward.
  • Pre-registrants will get priority access to the Cantina (you get in first!)
  • Note: RSVPing on Facebook does not count as pre-registering, you must do it through this new page.

You can also see all of our currently planned Cantinas for the year listed there as well. We will update those with the specifics of each event as we have it! Thanks everyone, see you at the Cantina.

You can view the registration page here:

But what about our friends who have no SWTOR account or forgot to pre-register? Will they still be able to get priority access and enter with me or do they have to wait until regular access?

At least for now we are going to require that anyone who comes through the pre-registration line did in fact pre-register.

On our side of things the code you redeem if you attend, vs the the link you share afterwards are two different things. Meaning pre-registering and redeeming the code from attending is the only thing that will count for the extra reward!

We will be checking usernames and email addresses at the event!

We are actually streaming our Cantina event from SW Celebration, so you can tune in! Nothing wrong with a little extra for those who attend though

It is very rare that we hit venue capacity as we try to leave a lot of buffer. However, if for some reason we have a ton of pre-registrations and they are more numerous than our capacity, we could turn people away. It does not guarantee entry. I will reiterate though, we have never had this happen. Celebration could certainly though, our room is huge but so is our attendance!

After the new Nerf madness that you did I don’t wane go to the cantina I will go to the local bar instead.
At the end only clueless kiddies and sht head PvPers will be left playing the game and they will start complaining to each other for their sht.

Wut? 1 tiny nerf you call madness?

Take a look how many massive nerfs scoundrels/operatives and sniper/gunslinger had over the time.

On the contrary, I have no illusions about BW’s GAF level regarding their customers. I’m sure if the Dev team wasn’t a bunch of comic book nerds with a gullible boss there would be no such thing as a ‘cantina tour’

They will be in Germany. You get at least 1. Better than nothing. Image the poor Asia-Pac players. They never get any love at all.

Gamescom in Cologne is listed on the Cantina Tour schedule. No different from any other Cantina Tour on the list.

Can you register, not show up and still get the cool mounts they were talking about?

“Nothing wrong with a little extra for those who attend though ”

When you stick to a small area on the globe? Uh, yeah, it’s kind of shitty.

@iceberg265:disqus everything that comes out of your mouth on these forums is a jab at someone.

Get off your Tauntaun of entitlement.

“Tauntaun of entitlement”!!!! Lol omg you made me laugh until coffee came out my nose. You, sir, made the insult of the week.

How am I the one who’s on a “tauntaun of entitlement” when this guy is bitching that other people are getting stuff?

Kinda have to disagree. Regardless of where they went. A lot of people would not be able to attend. Cause it is simply to far for them or they can’t get the day of from work or whatever other reason they seem to have. And it’s not like the first time cantina attendance have been rewarded. Only difference is, imo is that this reward is by far the best if not the only actual reward. But like I said imo.

The reward for attending is supposed to be the information they get from the cantina. At least, once upon a time, that’s how these kinda things worked :/

should revisit previous cantina updates, previous one rewarded them more then just information. and these information were mostly stuff that was already out in the open. While Cantina act as Q/A most question people asked are the same questions that has been asked over and over.
Just check previous cantina stuff on dulfy.

but yes once up on a time. that use to be the sole purpose. information but of late, rewards has been added

They are going to be in Anaheim, San Diego, Cologne, Seattle, and New York.

Not exactly a small area of the globe outside of the Anaheim and San Diego clustering.

Anaheim and San Diego are like 6 hours away from each other, thats like a whole mid-western state

JUST LETTING EVERYONE KNOW: They are sending a speciel code and a sharing code that spreads…. they said the whole game population has a chance to get the special stuff…

Its hard to judge yourself so let me tell you, you read as one of the
regular whiners on this forum who thinks their opinion is somehow better
or more valid than others, so maybe ‘crybaby’ is more appropriate than
you know although i would just call you ‘bitchy’

So, because our opinions are different, I’m somehow a ‘crybaby’? Maybe if BW regularly did a good job, rather than a poor one, you’d see me praising them more often.

Sorry that me voicing my opinion upsets you.

not sure you are upsetting anyone but if you think you dont come off as a whiner you are wrong, also I never voiced an opinion other than to say just that so not sure what you’re whining about now…

Nope. If I didn’t know the meaning, I wouldn’t be able to recognise when internet trolls are throwing it around meaninglessly now would I? πŸ™‚

whatever dude you troll this site on the reg and you read like a whiner doing it, this is my opinion and that dudes above, deal with it

I’m just voicing my opinion, as I always do (which is what forums are for, in case you weren’t aware). I’m not the one harassing someone because they disagree with me.

But don’t worry, internet trolls are nothing new. I can deal with it πŸ˜‰

Seriously, the jealousy bitching is so mature, you little children. So some dudes get a pet or mount you don’t. End of the friggin world. Get over it….it’s an aesthetic grouping of pixels in a video game.

If you were pissed about all the nerfs and wanted to get your hands on somebody’s throat, I can see being upset that you can’t go; but not this.

BW would do better if the focused less on BS like this and more on actually fixing the game and not releasing broken and buggy content every single patch. But hey, that’s just me.

Bioware is Bioware. Doesnt really matter. But i hope that at least one of them devs will be with the community dudes and the room is be full of angry sith sorcs and jedi sages that use their rights of free speech πŸ™‚

I’m sure people have come to the cantina tour from all over the place, just to hear someone whine about class nerfs.

And they will happily ignore the issues they don’t want to talk about… just like they ignored the constant spam of Pvp questions during their pretty little live feed a few weeks back.

Reduce the budget for the community team = raise the budget for the dev team. See how I mentioned BW as a whole and not “the devs”?

Perhaps the community team generates more sales and increases revenue more than fixing bugs would? I know its not what you want to hear, but they are a business after all. I want them to fix bugs and release more content too, but lets not just whine for whining’s sake.

Dude… I would love to explain how increasing the budget for the dev dpt for a game would increase sales and revenue better than a shitty pre-reg for an event that tends to be full of flies but… reading your post gave me physical pain. Too much inanity.

Apparently you have never heard of marketing. And I said perhaps, because I do not know for sure if it would or not. As a business, I am sure Bioware knows that better than either of us and they are doing what they think will increase profits. I am merely offering you a solution beyond “GIVE ME WHAT I WANT NOW”.

Believe me, I would prefer they fix bugs and add new content as well. But I’m able to look at things and see beyond my own personal desires to figure out possible reasons things are the way they are.

They will be at Gamescom in Cologne with the Cantina Tour. Pretty sure that counts as Europe, last I checked my geography.

Right now it’s pretty cold in Cologne for April.
But Gamescom will be in August, when it’s quite hot at the river Rhine (Cologne is one of the cities with the highest temperature in summer, in Germany).
BioWare’s Employees should be safe – no danger of freezing to death.

We’ll see, long time til august, plenty of time for them to make up an excuse to bail on it. Be pretty shitty to get plane tickets and hotel redrvations just for this and the bastards didn’t show up.

Even if they do show I’ll probably have quit playing by then unless they stop fucking up all my characters’ skills soon.

It does, though so far away from the rest of the countries.
But will try to be on it.
At least for the drinks

You want surplus t-shirt? We have 3 million nobody ever bought. You come cantina, we give you T-shirt….or maybe keychain.

If they give away a t-shirt or keychain then they need to send one to every subscriber or from what I’ve read here it’s not fair and makes Bioware a big meanie.

I hope “a little something extra” is a Darth Vader mask that gives +1,000 to all stats and adds an ability called “DHC QQ” that’s an AoE attack of the Death Star laser which is an insta-kill. Reading the forums here after the news leaks would be a day long remembered.

I like it! Maybe some heat vision or super breath that pushes other players back 50 meters. Or maybe something called Super Punch and you punch their head right off their body in PvP.

After all the latest Nerfing sht I ‘m thinking it twice if I will ever go to any cantina event from now on.

And wanted so much to enjoy the Cocktails and the Swtor dressed girls on the upcoming events.
