General

  • New Feature: Outfit Designer! You can access this new feature by opening your Character Sheet from the Menu bar of the “C” key by default. All players start with the first tab unlocked. You can assign the appearance of an item to a particular slot by dragging the item from your Inventory and dropping it into the appropriate slot. This does not consume or otherwise “equip” the item – it can be used for multiple appearance tabs.
Once you’re satisfied with your outfit, clicking the “Commit” button at the bottom of the screen will save that Tab’s appearance. To use this outfit, click “Apply” at the top of the window.
If you wish to unlock more tabs, simply click on the tab to the right of the Character Sheet and purchase it with Credits or Cartel Coins.

Hi Dulfy, do you know if they are going to reimburse everyone the Basic commendations for:
All Class Missions that previously rewarded 1 or 2 Basic Commendations now reward 8 Basic Commendations.
Or will it only work from the patch date forward?

There’s no way they are just going to give comms out for previous missions. This will be a going forward thing. The point of it is to allow you to keep your gear in line at the accelerated pace, adding comms for previous missions wouldn’t make sense.

The chances of that happening are highly unlikely to downright never gonna happen. Where’s my millions i spent on skills during early acces SoR?

How about a refund for all the skill training I spent on all 9 toons between launch and SoR (6 toons trained to 60 before the patch removing costs was announced btw)? Shit I’d be happy with just a refund on all the speeder piloting training and the 14000 skills I paid to train JUST for level 60.

But I am realistic, whereas the OP here is just ridiculous.

Probably retroactive to character creation. I mean that makes a lot more sense than just starting from when the patch goes live, right?

I mean REALLY???? Did you really seriously just ask that? REALLY????

Dude chill, I was asking. I’m a new player and don’t even know much about it except I started a few weeks ago. I saw people talking on the general chat that it might happen like when Elite/Ult comms were converted to Basic when the new expansion rolled out.

they didn’t refund anything then, they took what old comms you had in your inventory and converted them to new comms at a predetermined exchange rate. there has never been a refund of comms or credits already spent on anything in this game

A big (if not the primary) motivation for this change is the 12x Epic xp bonus option coming back, allowing you to *just* do class missions and skip everything else, this will allow you to have a lot more Comms to keep your gear up to date… so it’s not so much that things were imbalanced before (and need to be redressed) as this just makes more sense going forward.

“The Unique Rock Formation, Cybernetic Skull, and Anchored Rock on Rishi now spawn more consistently, and more frequently.”

Does that mean they finally fixed the Rishi-Datacrons?

MAJOR op nerf. Can’t fully say I agree, this will make ops much easier, especially SS and Lurker. 30 seconds is an eternity for DPS. Plus with less health on little lurkers that fight shouldn’t be as bad with random pugs like it was before.

well, to be fair, TOS was much harder for pugs than RAV sm..
though I agree that 30sec is way to long.. even crappy dps can kill it within 10secs or so

The reason is due to inability to read, not inability to DPS. Full 186 comm gear sentinels thinking they can kill a lurkerling by themselves whine when they die.

As someone who pugs Rav + ToS rather often, these seem like much-needed changes. However I agree that 30 seconds seems excessive. Maybe 15-20 would be more sensible. But then Bioware have a reputation for consistently over-nerfing, am I right?

it’s a big nerf, but as long as you keep your force high enough, you have much stronger burst
but it’s all speculation atm, I find it hard to believe this is the last sage change for pts

It’s going to suck really bad if you die. My DPS (or heals) on my sage goes to nothing when (not if) I pull off the tank and get one shot by rapid fire or scatter blaster. Then when I get back up I’ve got no force so I’m unable to heal or DPS. Noble Sacrifice gives me a good portion of my force back and I’m back to healing or DPSing in a very short time.

you don’t pull off tanks as a healer, and as a dps you have no force troubles..
and after getting rezzed you often have quite some time to selfheal (out of combat)

and dieing sucks anyway 😛

depends on the spec, the boss and the amount of selfheal..
telekinetics has no force trouble whatsoever, even when selfhealing, balance has worse force management (it’s sometimes hard to keep high even without selfheals)
and depending on what you call “self-heal on Lurker”.. I have thrown heals here and there, mostly while hiding behind the rock (not trying to miss dps)
as TK you’ll have no trouble, as balance you’ll have leaches which help you
if you mean enough healing that healers can ignore you? I haven’t tried, and don’t see how noble sacrifice would help you with that anyway (it would be easier actually, on the pts version of it, for dps that is) apart from the fact that there isn’t any reason you should do it under normal circumstances

No, you missed my point. You said “after getting rezzed you often have quite some time to selfheal.” I get maybe one full second of meditation before I get back into combat, and then I can either pray my healers get me up to health quick or burn all remaining force making sure I don’t go right back down.

aaah, makes more sense now (I was stupid, didn’t look at what I actually said xD)
true, if the fight is aoe heavy, you won’t have much health or force
but neither type of noble sacrifice will help you as dps (loosing health kinda makes it counteractive), so only the 3min CD idea they had will do you any good just after a rez

“Noble Sacrifice gives me a good portion of my force back” this is still untrue, unless you’re healing
if they improve the healing done on noble sacrifice I’d actually be pretty happy (selfheal, and force boost)

I guess we will just have to wait and see what actually goes live to have a definitive answer.

It prevents that awkward situation where a bad DPS kills one of the walkers a little early and causes the wipe and ruins the entire group’s effort.
To me, as much as I like the original mechanic, it shouldn’t be so punishing (immediately kill both) in story mode. Getting a bunch of casual DPS’s to kill both at the same time is nearly impossible no matter the MMO.
I’d expect it to be the same immediate mechanic on nightmare mode. No grace period.

Seeing as I only run progression on my mains, it doesn’t really matter, most of my alts are good enough to run it anyway, and I just join pugs if I’m bored.
But noobs and pugers everywhere are probably rejoicing.

Well between noobs, pugers and progression raiders, there are a few more steps. There are casual players, there are casual raiders, there are people who wanna learn how to play better and could use some help, there are elitists, there are hardcore raiders etc.

I pull 3.4k with my sentinel on the training droid, which I think is more than fine for the time that I devote to this game, and I don’t really have the time or the drive to read 45 guides online and practice for dozens of hours so that I can kill a freaking boss in a Story Mode operation.

8man ops in groupfinder again.. I like how BW doesn’t make up it’s mind, switched for the 4th time now 😛

On the other hand, 16m is more forgiving, so 8m will be full of elitist players. Thanks, but I would rather have weaker players or quitters once in a while, than elitists.

16m sounds better on paper, but 8m works better in practicality.

The first time they changed it back from 16m to 8m was due to performance issues. Then they fixed it and reverted it.

Now it’s back to 8m because observations show that it’s statistically better.

It would be nice to be able to choose one or the other, but that’s wishful thinking.

Yeah, they had good reasons changing it
Giving both options is more trouble to make than it’s worth, I think :/

“Ruffian
Blaster Volley no longer requires an Upper Hand to be activated. The damage of Blaster Volley has been reduced.”

is that just for ruffian, or every scoundrel? seems weird for one spec to have reduced dmg on that..

“Fixed an issue with Bolster that was preventing characters from being granted the correct amount of stats per level.”
Meaning the 59 bracket disparity has been resolved. Now maybe scrubs will stop whining (fat chance) and Bioware can give the rest of us our XP Eliminator.

Oh god that Holocaust mission was annoying as fuck. kept evading, resetting and kept being smacked down with that artillery shit. Die and have to run all the way back in killing adds. Did manage to do it, glad this will help others on Jk mission much better.

Glad to see the Rishi datacron has been fixed and blood hunt Hardmode for the first boss. guess i’ll farm those data disc for the buffs in advance.

Anyhow: It’s the final count down. tuutuuu tutuututurututuuuu tututuutuuuuu tutututuuturtuuuuu tutututuuuuu tutuututuutt tutu tutu lol.

Not really the fairest comparison, from the look of it we can expect more in the way of immersive cinematic cutscenes to tell the story than CZ and oricon combined – perhaps a better comparison would be Raiders cove on Rishi (though sadly lacking the character vignette missions) with a Yavin like daily area.

Doesn’t matter about “my immersion my merssion” after the first time through. After one “wow I is jeedai” story is done… It’s just another CZ-198.

Fact remains that the greater effort expended on the way they’re choosing to present that story should be acknowledged, I’m sorry you fail to see the value in that.

Click random answer…space space space… click random answer… space space space… Finally go do mission.

That’s cool for all the RPers I guess, but tbh they could have saved a lot of time/energy/money and just threw down a couple mission terminals as far as I’m concerned. And again, even if you live for the RP, once your ‘class quest’ (dailies training) is over it’s just the same thing every day.

Most people that RP don’t acknowledge the class stories anyway, Otherwise 1/8 of the people you meet are the grand champion of the great hunt, or the Barsenthor, etc etc.

Except you then can do it on your alts, like much of this game it pays out for many more than a once through.

but on pts that thing was labeled as “operation: heart of ruin”… I thought they would anounce it in the patch-notes seperately…

yeah, the Golden Fury ops was also labeled under a certain name, same with this ops boss. Just an area for 1 Boss which will be like a Worldboss but with a lockout and instanced. If i am correct there is also a WB on Ziost like any other planet we had so far

What does it actually mean by all taxi destinations? I presume as in you can just travel to any destinations once you arrive on a planet, rather than having to unlock them manually?

Yes!! They finally added more ultimate comm rewards and nerfed the first boss on HM Blood Hunt!! 😀

It still requires folks killing the adds. it still requires folks not standing in stupid. it still requires healers cleanse the knockback debuff. It still requires tanks not standing in stupid absorbing unnecessary damage from Jos and Valk.

Long story short…..it will still cause many MANY wipes.

“Server latency reduced by .00001% in some areas with extremely low player/NPC populations. Frame rates in all areas reduced by 15%”

Reading between the lines

seeing as i think that was just put there to make us think the trying to fix performance issue and i fully except things to get worse, which lines am i supposed to read?? lol

What I hope it entails?: “No more memory leaks for Naq if they are in one area for too long where suddenly their CPU Usage is 100% and the game is a slide show”
What it probably entails?: “Sorry Naq. Sorry.”

Finally, content to play (solely was waiting for GF level 55 ops at 60 AND 8 player GF. Now the game’s playable.
A lot of really nice changes, but I’m very disappointed they went nerfed Carbine Burst even more.
:/ that skill could be so much more useful. I get that they did it to make it more useful as a dot spreader, but that’s ridiculous when lethality snipers already take two GCD’s to spread dots, and Scoundrels, who are melee, are asked to do three.

I said I would resub, but I changed my mind. I’m too hurt.
I was foolish enough to buy Shadow of Revan for pre-order. I was foolish enough to deal with bug after bug that they refused to hotfix until the next week (including the final solo revan fight, which I’m pretty sure all early access folks remembered.)
Then the lack of newly released content for 5 months. That’s $75 spent on what I would only consider $30 of it being justified. Then they say “Wait, if you made the mistake to sub during a dry season, don’t worry, here’s a purple crystal!” and that to me was as good as an insult to their players. There are free to play games that update 10 times faster than this game, remarkable ones too.
I’m a hurt customer. I am gonna continue my hiatus from this game until further notice. It’s a shame. I really do love this game, but the dev team and marketing team both hit me where it hurt the most…. my trust.

Chill out Pinky a lot of good improvements on this Patch.

The only thing that I’m Really SaD still is the Damn Nerfs they recently did on some classes because of the PvP whiners.

If I can forget that (which is really hard, don’t know if I ever will) then I can say that everything goes on a better course.

The problem is a lot of these changes that they’re making now to endgame raiding (which are all very amazing changes) are way overdue.

You really cannot complain about this update. They’re actually adding content to the game without charging us all extra for it, story and an A-tab. What’s not to like?

The fact that it’s way too late. For my health, I need to continue to take a break from this game.
If you’ve seen other comments I’ve made, especially when they released these changes on PTS, you’d know, I think this is an amazing update, and it’s a shame that it didn’t come out sooner. It fixes endgame so that it actually exists.

Not as much criticizing as much as saying “darnit, Bioware, why didn’t you do this sooner during the updateless March and April?”

Please don’t confuse me for being a hater of SWTOR, I’m more a disappointed and hurt customer.

Either way, you already said you don’t play anymore and don’t plan to come back so basically you’re just here to talk trash and be yet another Spruce Cycle

I will certainly enjoy easier babysitting in pugs. Even though making HM flashpoints a bit easier, and improving stat lines will not undo all the bads pounding out 60 on every class after the 4th. Cest la Vie, though.

I am interested to see the storyline, but more than that I am interested to see if it ends on a disappointing cliffhangar while we wait for ops content later down the pipe, or will it be its own contained storyline in the greater scheme of things?

All these different ways to get ults, im sure there are some who want to complain about “scrubs” in ult gear, but for those of us trapped in guilds that are skillcapped doing storymodes, Its nice to have some more options. Don’t hate on me just because I am emotionally attached to some badies.

Lets hope these performance improvements see a reduction or elimination in memory leaks. Oh boy would that be nice.

A lot of quality improvements in this Patch, looking good so far !

8m Operations at last we will be able to complete them every time.

The Nerf on the Operatives Aoe ability wasn’t necessary as this was an already weak ability and very rarely used.
Happened for the future Pvp complainers of course.

The class needs Buffs guys not Nerfs, Haven’t seen an oper in Fleet for months guys, at least do something to save the class before it extincts.

Well I haven’t seen an Operative on fleet for months, but then again, I haven’t had an imp toon actually go to fleet since november so…

Maybe you went totally nuts but is more luckily to see Chewie around in fleet than any Operatives or scoundrels.
Check it out too.

The only time operatives use aoe is on Revanite Commanders and trash. They are not going to buff classes unnecessarily, as they have already stated numerous times, because it will reduce Time To Kill in pvp, and make pve content trivial. It’s not like that is the case here, but it is something to keep in mind. Generally you don’t make skills easier to use without trading something else in return. In this case it is damage.

This class is probably the lowest on damage output so far.
So I don’t see where the prob is to boost it up a bit.
They have made so many buffs for Jugs and Powertechs so why not……….

We run Operatives, Marauders, and Assassins in Ops all the time. People say melee are at a disadvantage, but I contend otherwise. More often than not, our melee outperform our ranged on fights ranging from Underlurker to Bulo to Commanders. It’s not the class, it’s the people that play it.

Operative is not an AOE class. You want to do AOE, roll a power tech. They made it more viable because it doesn’t require you to use a tactical advantage. And if you really really need to AOE, they increased frag grenade damage by 50%. I don’t see the problem.

You don’t understand that all classes have their Aoe abilities and why should they Nerf an already weak ability ?
Why should all people start playing Powertechs if the devs can help all other classes keep up, they already have these abilities anyway.

All I know is on my concealment op I guarantee you I can kill any 3 mobs twice as fast 1 on 1 as I could ever hope to even if I were able to just spam carbine burst until my finger bleeds. It was a crap ability even before the nerf, sorry if you never figured that out.

Ready for the new Planet !!!!!!!!
But we miss a guide and some nice photos for it and a few tiny tips for the operation.

Duuuullffyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:-(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

fuck you arby, guides, photos and all other documentations are always good to archive information on games so even years after you can gather info about it. nothing wrong with it.

Fuck you back. I didn’t say there’s anything wrong with it, but on a dailies planet it’s not the end of the world if you don’t have it. That said, you will surely have it by the time the update is live. You poor entitled babies, you won’t lose at the internet if you don’t have 4 days to prepare for 4 hours of content that you can surely figure out by reading your mission logs.

Yes it good to archive but to ask for one before you explore and find things out your self is just pure lazy.

But that’s just my oppinion

Arby you suck !
Some people love to read the guides even if they don’t play the game so its always a very important part of gaming.

Think all those newbillies and Pugies too, why should they be lost in the forest ?

Client performance deals with lag, game engine performance, etc. and has nothing to do with graphical display bugs like robes clipping.

LMFAO. No, that is not what that means at all. It means that people with crappy computers and even crappier ISPs can feel like their game responds better to their commands.

Not everyone knows how to or is willing to reimage their machines with OEM installs, and then replace their crappy router/modem combo they are leasing from their ISP with a dedicated modem and their own high quality router. Then even less are going to trace their (hopefully not DSL) coax cables back to their cable box and remove all the fifteen year old splitters inbetween.

Just saying, that’s what I did. And what did it get me? A full 25mbps increase (up to 80) and 100ms ping reduction (down to TEN, yes, 10 MS), while running the game at +60 fps on Ultra in 16 man Ops.

You know.. some people have crappy pcs, and a crap connection..
You make it sound like those people are just lazy

Sorry, not everyone has the cash to spend it on high end ultra specs, are have better priority. Please refrain for such insults when not knowing the reason.

I personally have a pretty good pc, but no control over my internet..
but I know many people who simply don’t have the money for it.. nothing wrong with that, and I’m glad BW improves the low-end performance

The 4.0 expansion will include a new engine (codenamed “imperial engine”) that will require a 64-bit high end computer and internet connection

You’re lazy : I have 250 mbps and 8 ms ping JUST NOT in SWTOR, where it is 37 ms all the time. It is called SERVER LAG.

With a 980 GTX I still don’t get more then 16 fps maxx in 16 man ops, UNLESS I switch off the GUI.

Maybe trolling much ???

Ummm, SWTOR IS playable on Ultra. Part of it is forking over 2k to build a good one. I am at 60 – 62 fps all the time with 0 graphical problems. I’ll get an occasional lag spike here and there, but that is crappy Comcast.

Reduced the health of the Lurkerlings in the Story Mode Underlurker encounter.
Best sentence up there. Should have happened since early December.

Meh. Didn’t stop pugs from downing it. If you got peeps that don’t know how to play their class, sure, but it wasnt the adds that were the problem

Some peeps do know what they’re doing. Yet they still hit enrage on lurker. Why? because they spend too much time on the adds because their health is only 9k less than HM adds. Let zorz worry about HM. Let the rest of the community which is the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY enjoy story mode.

true , but when your healers are needing to put out 7500-9000k combined ehps because of group composition and with most groups dropping a tank for an additional dps to avoid enrage it definitely needed tuning from a story mode perspective

it really wasn’t an add got more heal problem, it was more can your healers keep up and when i did it in pugs and guild we got it down easy. even some of my guildies got it down on hardmode. just split dps.

If adds go down faster, they will do less damage, so healers will have an easier job. This is a boss with a high DPS check, a lot of healing needed and an unnecessary cross mechanic

You forgot to mention the endless bugs including random person getting one-shotted from a green cross and ORANGE CROSSES. Or how about a really really bright green cross when all stack in middle for sonic rebounder? lol this cross is broken in too many ways.

They just released a new pack….. And they have been selling embargoed packs for the last 4 weeks… I am very disappointed with your lack of faith. You could say, I find it disturbing.

Duh. Master’s Shadow pack. Sorry you are so impatient that a month is no longer “new” to you. It’s been said numerous times that it won’t be out until sometime NEXT month…. Whine more, twerp.

The Master’s Shadow pack was released March 24th, so it should be released around about now. In fact it is four days late apparently. Dont know why they pushed the released dates back about half a month, since they used to be released on around the 10th, so as of March we had to wait an extra 2 weeks.

Fair enough, not very keen on Ziost tbh mainly since I finished it on PTS but the Outfit Designer is a nice add. Guilty role player..

Oh, so you decided to spoil it for yourself, so you expect everyone else to be as disappointed as you? Guess what, scrub? They didn’t put the entire mission chain on the PTS. Stop getting your hopes so high and then ruining them on your own before they can be ruined for you. That’s just self-deprecating.

I’m well aware it wasnt complete on PTS and I dont expect everyone to be as disappointed stop assume things. Ziost is nice and all, I got nothing against it in general.

Ok didn’t see anything about the new stronghold or the new race. Is that still coming tomorrow or will that be in a future patch?

Should really read propperly, just a observation. Never was it stated that it was coming with 3.2. Just wishful thinking wish is fine but don’t mistake it with confirmed information

Now do NOT take my word for it and there is absolutely nothing said or hinted by devs. What I’m about so say is my own opinion.

With the epic story event coming may 4th and recent confirmed to run until this fall (September most likely) I would imagine togruta playable species will come sometime between May 4th and end of xp event. I think that would make most sence as it will allow for people to use event to level up a new toon with togruta if they choose to.

AGAIN that is just me having a guess and giving an opinion do not take it as fact and blame me if I’m wrong

I would think it would be the opposite. In other words we’ll release the Togruta after the Epic XP is disabled.

They know people are going to want to make new level 1 characters when the species hit and as a result they’ll force people to level the traditional way with them where it takes much longer to do, which is exactly what they want. They want to create time sinks to keep the player(s) in the game for longer periods of time. Releasing the Togruta while the Epic XP is active doesn’t do that.

In this/that^ specific instance they’re doing what the feel is best for the game, not the individual player(s)

I think it’s much more likely the Togruta will hit in the Fall/Winter time frame. That’s the time frame in which the game is going to be seeing a large influx of new players as a result of the new movie coming out which is why the Epic XP isn’t permanent. They don’t want that large influx of new players getting to the end game too quickly. They want them to experience/play as much of the existing content as they can.

expect it in mid june julyish imo, as ftp would not be able to access it without an unlock and a sub could simply save their monthly cc grant for 2 months and change a current character. they tend to go crazy in the summers to try and keep community going as numbers tend to drop of in the summer(strongholds, narshadda night life, super long pvp bonus to name a few from last summer)

after reading that the playable race and the SH (which were the 2 main things i wanted were delayed for another patch) the only thing that im liking are the changes to the travel perks. i dont really care for the outfit designer. and im happy to see the gree event is back

Sorry you thought the things that were specifically separate from the 3.2 stuff in the Cantina event were coming tomorrow. Oh wait, no I’m not. Learn to read better.

actually i was reading that off of this site. so if there was any wrong details it was cause i was miss informed via the site. and by the way if your going to be an asshat be a human and admit your being an asshole dont hide behind bullshit anon names. more like delusions of grandure

This site never said the new playable race nor the Yavin Stronghold was coming in 3.2. Bioware clearly stated in the cantina event that they would be coming later (post 3.2)…and weren’t at any time PART of 3.2….which is why the guy said you need to learn to read better, because it wasn’t on this site.

And if you don’t “give a fuck” then don’t reply and turn everything online into a childish insult fest.

You were not reading any such thing on this site, if you say you were you are lying. It was never posted, alluded to or hinted at by Dulfy at any time. I challenge you to find where she did and link it here. If you think you read it I’m sure it was some other completely uninformed player, like yourself, wishing and venting about how miserable their life is because they don’t get what they want all the time

Sorry you weren’t reading propperly, the road to the map stated what’s coming 3.2 and what’s coming beyond that. Further post stated what’s coming 3.2 and what’s coming later this year, stream stated Whats coming 3.2 and plans for further down the road. Nowhere was it stated that it’s being part of 3.2

Too bad you ignore when Dulfy posts PTS update notes, if you didn’t you wouldn’t have been disappointed because you would have known already that they weren’t part of the 3.2

Sorry but this site has never miss informed about the new playable species. And If u had bothered to read the dev article for the 2015 plans on swtor.com or on here you would have clearly seen that they said ziost 3.2 then after that LATER THUS YEAR togruta

Fixed an issue with Bolster that was preventing characters from being granted the correct amount of stats per level.

” I wonder what it means

it means that all players from lvl 30 to 54 werent getting the lvl 60 bolster stats that all lvl 55-59 players were getting , it took bioware 5 months to acknowledge this one.

A great example of this would be putting on a piece of PVP gear, and actually watching your Exp total go down. So many times, I would go into a WZ with a mix of PVE and PVP gear because the Exp total was higher than full PVP.

Full pvp is 2018 cant be any higher than that and you cant get that with a mix and match style.
So just get full pvp gear and you will be fine.

I know the stats. However, I’ll go ahead and explain. So in my case, my pvp gear is a mix of Exhumed, Obroan, and Conqueror. Now outside of a warzone, sure the PVP gear always increased stats. But, once I got into a warzone, my 186 Yavin gear would boost my exp higher than some of my pvp pieces.

Dread Fortress + Dread Palace
16-Player Hard Mode bosses now drop 2 Ultimate Commendations.

Level 60 Operations:
8-Player Hard Mode bosses now drop 10 Elite Commendations.
16-Player Hard Mode bosses now drop 12 Elite Commendations.

Wait… what?
That means DP and DF Bosses give Ultimate Coms while Ravagers and Temple do not.
What is the reasoning behind that?

Its the changes that have been made to what it was … so instead of 4 Elite on 8M or 6 Elite on 16M, they now give out 10 on 8M and 12 on 16M, but the Ultimate Comm number remains the same. Been confirmed by the devs.

wow bunch of wise changes. thats the way to go.(idk about class changes since plasma vg is still looks useless)

patch notes look good
however im already waiting to see what is broken when i get back into the game later lol

time for some kotor!

I’ll tell you what’s broken – nothing valid for you to whine about. Let’s see you create something as complex as a video game completely free of all bugs. QQ moar while you play a console game that’s been out of date for ten years.

Weird thing to get butthurt about. Especially considering what happened to Shadows a couple patches ago, saying nothing valid will be broken makes you sound kinda out of touch with reality.

Dont you dare say anything against KOTOR, it is one of the best games ever made, in any genre, period.

Nobody, NOBODY, should even dare show their face in SWTOR without having played KOTOR first.

Now vamoose!

I’ve never played KOTOR; so you’re telling me I should quit now? Haha, stupid. I play SWTOR because I’m a Star Wars fan; not because it’s part of a series of games that must be played in order. Now if KOTOR had a big graphics update to it made by some independent modders, I’d probably try it out.

Good graphics are not a prerequisite for a good story. I still have Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight from 1997 and I still enjoyed it.

Unless you have played KOTOR, you wont understand half of the references or characters in the game (HK-47, Revan, Satele Shan’s ancestry, Taris etc, etc).

Saying something like KOTOR is out of date is as juvenile as saying you shouldn’t read a novel that is over 10 years old, or you shouldn’t listen to music that is 10 years old. No real Star Wars fan would be so disparaging about one of the most famous Star Wars games ever made (and one of the most well received RPG’s ever made) and one of the major pillars of the expanded universe that is up there with the likes of the Thrawn Trilogy.

Hand over your geek card!

Don’t be negative, try to see what will be better, as a lot of stuff will be.
Share some positive feelings it helps.

“The Unique Rock Formation, Cybernetic Skull, and Anchored Rock on Rishi now spawn more consistently, and more frequently.”

Does this mean that the Rishi datacron issue has been fixed? I have been sitting on my 3 Data Packets for killing the “3 Little Pigs” for nearly a month. I haven’t used them because of all of the glitching I read about in the guide and didn’t want to spend countless hours trying to get the pigs to spawn and then try to kill them.

The very last step of clicking on the final rock was still buggy for me today after server reset. The rock wasn’t clickable at first. My character fell through the rock after standing on top of the middle of it for a couple of mins and then could click the rock. Finally got that X Marks the Spot achievement and the datacrons too.

So what you’re saying is that before they fixed it, it was broken? Or that you did this in the last 5 minutes since the servers came up? Because today the servers were down for update install when reset time hit.

Still buggy. By server reset I don’t mean a daily reset I mean when the servers are shut down for maintenance. But you can probably get it to work.

I was sitting on mine too because I was worried about it bugging out. I just got lucky one day when I was on rishi and someone said all datacrons were up and managed to get all 9 toons there before it despawned. Guess now I can at least get the titles.

What/where exactly is that Ghost Cell Camp on Tatooine and OP Zaroche? Is that only for imps? I can’t seem to remember those locations…

Ah thanks guys. I think I know which area you are talking about. I have always wondered whether there was a way around the exhaustion zone because it always sure looked like the camp was more than just “background”. Makes a whole lot of sense now 🙂 .

Yeah you can see it from the datacron sandcrawler. No point in going there if you aren’t an agent doing that one particular mission because there’s nothing out there and you can’t go inside

It’s part of the Agent story, in the far northwest of the Dune Sea. Anyone can go out there, but they can’t go in unless they’re participating in that part of the Agent story.

One change I don’t see mentioned in the patch notes is that the crafting menu opens with all sub menus collapsed now. A minor but very welcome change

I am preferred player, but my cooldown is 20 minutes instead of 6. I have the legacy travel perks, hence why it’s not 26 as fully free to play players. That’s kind of strange and I can’t even post anywhere and report it.I thought preferred status doesn’t expire? I still have other preferred perks.

Umm folks….blood hunt is nerfed but enrage timer on first boss is still there. Dont think this is faceroll now. With guildies? Yes. With friends that arent guildies? Yes…….with pugs? Ouch.

Still Hard thats why they call them HM, cant be done with Pug groups though , no way.
Guldies and power players only.

Anyone else’s character log-on portraits jacked up after you log in and back out of that toon, especially after taking a look at the new Outfit Designer feature? Their armor is still the right color when you’re logged into the game, but upon logging out the colors are all different in the character select/ log-on window. No real biggie. It’s more an annoyance than anything, since they look correct in-game. Just wondering if anyone else’s was doing it, too?

I’m kinda curious as to why SS/Bulo HM were nerfed (mostly bulo) both were doable in full 192 gear, which was recommended for the raids anyway.

You probably haven’t been in raid groups lately.
Can not be done with random groups even if they have the gear which they very rarely have.

Generally HMs aren’t pugged. I can understand the SM nerfs, but i don’t think the HM ones were necessary.

Did bulo last night. scatter blaster tickled. It was a joke. conal hit the group twice and no one dropped below 50% from two hits.

I did SS HM last night, the red only hit for 50-70 percent of my health, and gravity mines didn’t put anyone below 70 percent health…. Needless to say we one shot it for the first time

Tooltips in the crafting window are broken. Anything that you got from RE-ing an item displays the tooltip of the base item. At least it’s that way for Synthweaving.

My datacron count in codex is reading 73/74 rather than the previous 73/70 – have I just missed something, or have we all missed something?

I guess the entry for the datacron at the fleet is still missing, and they added the four datacrons from Rishi. As of today, I have 69/74 according with the codex, but I have 70, including the one from the fleet.

“The cooldown on the Quick Travel ability has been reduced. For
Subscribers and Preferred players the cooldown is now 6 minutes, and for
Free-To-Play players the cooldown is now 26 minutes.”
26 mins for Pref too.

Can a subscriber post a message on the swtor boards about this bug? I’m not a subscriber and can’t make or reply to topics.

I have the same issue with 26 min cd for quick travel, instead of 6. I think all preferred status players experience this. It would be much appreciated if someone asked bioware to fix it! please T_T

Dulfy/Exile- guess you guys missed it, they threw in a quick patch last night/yesterday at some point. Just a heads up if you want to post it on the site, I didn’t see it here anywhere.

Hmm… so what about Smugglers who already completed the mission and didn’t get the Drooga the Hutt codex entry? Is there gonna be a datapad somewhere like on Coruscant with the Sullustans?

Hi all, the patch note says: “All Class Missions that previously rewarded 1 or 2 Basic Commendations now reward 8 Basic Commendations”. I have a preferred status account and I logged in and did some class quests last night. However I was rewarded only 1 basic commendation still. Does anyone know if the increased commendations also apply to preferred players or only to subscribers? Thanks.

Yes! Thank GOD! They actually did something about the Legacy, Fleet Passes and the Quick Travel times for cooldown. Should’ve been the case to begin with. Still this is nice. 🙂

Was kind of happy that one of the events got extended out fora lil’ longer.

That time when you’re a sniper and having to use corrosive grenade on people every six seconds so you don’t get gang raped by jedi knights are over? Yey!
