GW2 Guild Halls to be Revealed in E3

Colin Johanson will be showing off Guild Halls in the E3 show next week along with a specialization livestream at end of the week.

Game Director Colin Johanson will be at E3 on June 16 to take part in PC Gamer’s PC Gaming Show. In this presentation, Colin will reveal how Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™ will create new ways for you and your guild to play, battle, socialize, and progress together through the guild hall system.

AuroraPeachy, BogOtter, MMOInks, and DocGotGame will be hosting the show from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) on the official Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel!

Throughout E3 week, we’ll give you an even deeper look at guild halls and their features, leading up to a special livestream on Friday, June 19, where you can see guild halls in the game for the first time.

No, its just that ANet seems to be throwing out ideas they themselves aren’t eve sure will sustain the mainstream players for long. That is the opinion of the people I play with, that and Blade & Soul is releasing in the US.

still not a valid reason now.. they know HOT is coming and they decided not to wait … impatience ppl… want everything done rite on the spot.. i am also waiting for lot things with patience

impatient? the game launched 2.5 years and still have no proper GvG and guild halls. Those things exist for very long time in GW1. not many people willing to waste a few years for such thing.

I don’t really see the point of guild halls at the moment, but since everyone seems to be clamoring for it I am quite interested in what it entails! Anything that boost the quality of interaction between guildies and other guilds is most welcome in my eyes!

I think some people forget the importance of guilds in GW2; this addition to the guilds system could mark a huge uptick in the quality of the game, which is already incredible without it, as player to player interaction in Guild Was 2 is unparallel with basically anything else out there. I see this as the most important update coming in the next few months, with condition changes and core specializations following suite. Forget Revenant and Elite Specs, this is where it is really at!

I use the guild system all the time, like who doesn’t talk to their large group of friends in their guild?! I think they did a nice job on it personally, but it does need something more and this I hope will be it!

In GW1 they were important because of GvG. In GW2 I have no clue. I hope it’s not just an influence and merits sink – “Organize a balloon party for your guildmates, cost 1000 influence” Yay! Not.

it was mostly an instance to meet guild mates and gvg other guilds in GW1, you could somewhat upgrade it with npcs (merchants) but that was pretty much it. 3 years in GW2, hope they can do a LOT more with it (Don’t get me wrong, love guild halls, its the first thing on my list of things that are in GW1 and SHOULD be on GW2)
