SWTOR Warzone AoE Interrupt Change not going live with 3.3

Due to testings on the PTS, the warzone AoE interrupt change will not go live with patch 3.3.

Hello PvPers!
First, let me thank and congratulate y’all on the successful PTS tests last weekend. We were blown away by how many of you showed up just to test Warzones (yes and get some coins and hunt us down :P) and it further cements the passion that this community has in our eyes. Definitely a pleasure to witness and be a part of.

Now to the nuts and bolts.

The AoE Interrupt change will not be going into Live in 3.3. We have read tons of feedback, looked at metrics, added in our own experiences and we feel that the change doesn’t do enough to positively alter the gameplay in Warzones and therefore it is not worth it to go through with the change.

Despite the change, we did see an increase in stalemates on PTS but we are attributing that to the increased healer population. Typically on Live, healers make up ~20% of the queue but on PTS last weekend they made up ~27%. The ~7% increase in healer population led to increased healing, which led to more characters being alive and able to defend/attack and thus increased stalemates. We don’t want to overreact to this because the makeup of the queue was not what would be considered normal but we are keeping an eye on the healing numbers in Warzones and arenas to make sure it doesn’t lead to stalemated matches.

We are going to keep an eye on things and possibly in the future take another PTS-focused stab at a change to decrease stalemates in certain Warzones post-3.3. We will use the same format and won’t push such a change to Live unless we are confident it is having a positive impact. I actually started nine months/ago and pretty much straight away got more than $76 per/hr …

Funny u said u got $4895 this last four weeks but a little over 19k this last month. U realise mist months only have 4 weeks in them lol

I was not looking forward to that coming to live. So, I’m glad that they choose to test it through this method.

I’m actually really impressed by this decision. I can’t count how many threads I’ve read about people going off about stuff they warned the developers about in the PTS, but Bioware still released it. Good on them.

The likely reason that there were more healers, is that most of the changes were to healers, so people wanted to test out the changes.
How about giving AOE attacks a ‘chance’ to interrupt? 20% or so? Would that be ‘tears of manic rage’ inducing?

Luck based might be a good idea tho will spruce up war zones a little and make more people try to wins games as a team and not go kill hunting. Then again maybe not lol. Some noobs will always chase kills rather than trying to help team win ☺

They listen to the players all the time… lol If they didnt, we wouldnt have what we have now in the game. There is stuff we didnt get yet but they have already explained why they couldnt do those yet.

how is he a moron, he’s right. they do listen to us. but whatw e the fans want isn’t the ONLY factor in their decision making process

Or the increase in healers could be all the people who want to test the changes to healing…

<-? After being fired from my old job 4 months ago, i've had luck to learn about this great company online that was a lifesaver for me… They offer online home-based work. Well, we’ll see if they translate to live.
I still think that trauma should be much more than 30% (or whatever your class gives)
