GW2 Dragonhunter Guardian Elite Specialization

All about the Dragonhunter Guardian Elite Specialization to be released with Heart of Thorns. Updated with info from Beta weekend 3.

The Dragonhunter elite specialization can be obtained at level 80 with Heart of Thorns. It gives the Guardian access to longbow, six traps, and three new Virtues. The dragonhunter uses longbow to hunt down enemies with the assistance of traps that triggers when an enemy walks into it.

Note on tooltip damage numbers: The damage numbers are level 80 while wearing exotic Berserker armor/accessories with Runs of the Scholar. (2333 power, 1095 toughness, 1095 toughness, 1852 precision, 952 ferocity, 95 condition damage). No traits are selected. This was done to standardize the comparison of abilities across multiple elite specializations.

      Hardly. It may be a ranger wannabe, but I don’t think you’d say the same about it being better if you played it.

      Yeah… no… have to agree with Fashion Mage here, the longbow here feels like a glorified scepter… no where near the league of ranger LB. its more of a weapon swap range option than a main weapon, nothing quite beats spin2win.

      Source: I played ranger extensively with LB/SB bear… BEARBOW! (100% world completion, full story(doesnt say much here tho), wvw, fractals, pvp) until I am bored with pew pew, I seriously don’t know why people think the LB on ranger sucks… its by a reasonable margin the best 1200 range option out there.
