Guardian Heal on Dodge: 129

Thief Heal on Dodge: 461
The difference is that Guardian also heals allies. It also sounds like the Thief must actually Evade an attack(show Evaded on screen) to be healed, at least it sounds this way from the wording. Guardian heals regardless.

Nope its clearly stated with a difference. Things that apply on dodging at any time always say “After dodging or When you dodge” If its required for you to evade an attack to proc the active then it says “When you evade” implying you must evade any attack and the bonuses will not work just by pressing dodge. This is why i’m assuming the heal is more potent.

What worries me is that we know enforce 100% has 3 dodges 150 endurance because that bonus is the first minor for sure because it says it allows them to equip a staff etc etc. I hope and i mean it seriously I hope… “Dash” is not a free minor because that would be stupid strong lol.

thats what i had before they revamped the traits. then they took away my three-dodges-in-a-row trait. im super excited for this.

Yes, it seems like it could be quite durable, you’re inflicting weakness on critical hits, dodging with dash or lotus training and also getting damage bonuses for not having a full endurance bar. I’m really looking forward to this now.

I doubt there’ll be any stealth skill on the staff though. So we’ll have to rely on those evades instead.

Mind you, this spec could work well with the current weapons too and they do have good stealth options.

Lack of stealth didn’t make s/d evade spam thieves any less obnoxious. In fact it’s stronger because while stealth decaps points and has a time window for delivering burst, evade heavy specs are just about luckily landing a hit in between the evade spam as they do damage while invulnerable (stealth does not make you invulnerable).

It’s particularly insulting when they nerfed ranger’s Wilderness Survival trait of 50% endurance regen because the “ranger dodged too much” and went and gave all the perks in a better version, with more damage and CC, to the thief.

This is kinda what I wanted warriors to get with like a Lancer class. Evasion skills i feel are so much more viable in any content be it pve, pvp, wvw. good job anet 🙂 you guys are awesome. Also thank you to Dulfy for being the best gw2 news site.

This whole hit the ground and make quakes is getting silly, it’s like every elite now does something similar with different graphic effects. Hoping that’s not the case but when are they going to make an actual staff class that fights like… say, Staff Fighting from City of Heroes. I want my Eye of The Storm, Rapid Strikes, etcetera.

Interesting… So the Daredevil is kind of like a Martial Artist archetype. Fast, agile, but lands precise, powerful blows (Pulmonary Impact = Exploding Heart Punch?). Not really the style I envision for my Thief, but could be interesting to play.

Not what I’d want to be doing with my thieves, but yeah, it’s cool and I welcome the addition. Just the name that bugs me… do we have another dragonhunter here?
