Why the hell did I delete those….

Exotic isotope stabilizers. Guess a ton of those incoming

Ikr… Ugh .. I just hope a few alts still have those laying around because I was too lazy to clean up bag… Curious what those are really

I still have a crapton of them, at least half a bay full. Too bad it’s only the equivalent of elite comms, so not too exciting.

I also have a bunch of the boxes with basic comms from the last conversion left over, wonder if they’re converting them as well…

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Rough Magenta Crystal Shard Red Polychromic Crystal”
“Magenta Adegan Crystal Red Polychromic Crystal”

So, is BioWare getting rid of Magenta crystals altogether, or are they just changing the crafting recipe to use Red crystals now?

Was wondering the same… But they already removed megenta from classic pvp/pve lightsabers then the crafted one got change now this. Might turn into a CM item only….

Good point. Maybe I’ll go shopping for a spare. I’ve had that recipe for for at least a year and never had the mats.

It kind of is, and also it isn’t.

If I want to use a magenta crystal on a level 50+ character crafting doesn’t cost me CC.

They aren’t a direct CC purchase, they were in one of the SH packs I believe. They have a slightly different color but they look almost the same, and once you have it its unlocked so you can change it when ever you want, without the 10k removal price of the crafted one. It was an interseting little quest to make them though. I still have some of those mats in my hold, guess they will be gone tomorrow.

Yes. I use that crystal. The Cartel magenta crystal has a very light pink center as opposed to the traditional white center on the crafted ones

Alas, poor Laminoid! I knew it, HK: a compound of infinite use, of most excellent plasticity!

On the other hand, this is going to free up a HUGE amount of space in my banks.

Note that you’re best off crafting your Dark Projects today if you have the mats. It costs (in addition to the Invasion Force) 3 Rakata Energy Nodes, 3 Self-Perpetuating Power Cells, 6 Alien Data Cubes, and 6 Biometric Crystal Alloys, which will all be converted to Exotic Isotope Stabilizers at a 1:3 rate, for a total cost of 6 EIS. What I’m hearing from TOR Community is that Dark Projects will require 8 EIS to craft, so we’re best off crafting today rather than after 4.0

Do you know if any additional materials besides Exotic Isotope Stabilizers will be required for Dark Projects in 4.0? It’s the one bit of information I’d really love to know but haven’t found yet.

All old Operation Gear tokens will be changed into a lockbox which contains Glowing Data Crystals.

Yeah, great, they tell me this one day before 4.0, when I have spend them all and sold the items to the vendor, because I had no use for them anymore. I had prefered to know this and keep them to get the crystals.

Didn’t we ask over and over again what changes will come, in the last months, and they did tell us nearly nothing!?

This, All old Operation Gear tokens will be changed into a lockbox which contains Glowing Data Crystals, Was not announced 3 months ago

Just the comms conversions. Like Basic to Common, Elite to Glowing, Ultimate to Radiant. The gear tokens were never mentioned till today, unless it was in Datamined material and I’ve read every bit of that that I could find and don’t remember this info.

Yes. It was. On this website. Scroll back through the article lists a few pages and you will see an announcement talking about how comms were changing. They said it was going to be a straight exchange, they were just changing the names from comms to crystals. That’s how I knew about this before this post, and am not freaking out.

He’s talking about how token drops from ops is turning into crystals in a box. That wasn’t mentioned before, though I kept mine just because the little money I would get from them was junk, so guess it’ll work out for a few folks.

I recognize that. In my defense I was more responding to the OP’s post in my head than the one that I commented under. I realize they did not mention it would come in a crate. Though I fail to see how that impacts the OP who spent all his comms for the switch over, even though there are several articles stating that would not be necessary, on this site.

This just in, all things will be converted in game update 5.0.

Save all items that seem useless now, they will be of value someday. This type of thing happens all the time.

I blew all my old gear tokens up learning underworld armor recipes. And now I am going to sell armor that is most likely going to be unavailable for a fortune! MUAHAHAHAHA! MUAHAHAHA! …till its available from the next cartel pack….

If this has your panties in a bunch then just don’t log in. This is sooo minute. More things in life to worry about. Like getting bit on a plane by a crazed passenger or getting shot at the theater or on campus. It’s just a game after all. I got real world problems to worry about not this pixelated way of life that some live by cause they have no life outside of the game and this is the very foundation of their life.

I think some of those crafting materials are also decoration nodes we could make/use to harvest mats in our strongholds – and now I’m wondering if those will be changed to other decorations? And if all those kind of decorations will function entirely differently now…

You know what I’d like to see them change or even just remove from the game? Inheritance and Birthright gear. Just … turn them all into jawagrams or something else remotely useful.

The idea of inheritance gear was ok – the stats just should have been based on level instead of fixed so that it was good for more than two planets. :/

I agree about that inheritance and birthright gear. I’ve never used it, other then the weapons to send crystals to alts. I hope the crystal decos don’t change those are the ones I use the most.

Those cashsink armors on the same vendors should be available for those tokens as well, problem solved, you get a few pieces with tokens you are probably more likely to drop some cash to finish the sets too.

One good thing about all the stims and stuff is you only have to craft mastery stims. You don’t have to worry about cunning stims to smugs/agents, reflex stims to BHs/troopers, resolve stims to consulars/inquisitors, might stims to knights/warriors.

Also I guess it was worth keeping all those now-useless E3s cuz i’ll have a bunch of the new crafting mat to craft whatever the new crafting changes are bringing to us.

I always love to see simplification of tons upon tons of materials. I’m tired of stuffing my storage full of that stuff.

since all those sets will be more for fashion than anything else they could put it on sale for regular comms/crystals instead of those bloody tokens

I don’t care who you are, if you point that finger at me again I’ll break it! (BH voice)

“Shall I liquidate him, Master?”

It just kind of seems weird to restructure and reorganize all the mats and stims and stuff.

Like, I know they announced this awhile ago but still.

They are getting rid of redundant mats. Example, now if you craft an item with scavenged mats you may need 2 kinds of metals of the same lvl and 2 kinds compounds. Now you will need 4 of 1 metal and 4 of 1 compond. It frees up space in your hold, so I’m happy about it. It’s planning for the future so that they can add higher lvl mats.

This fixes a big issue every crafter has but doesn’t normally bitch about. You craft 10 things that need 2 of mat A and 2 of mat B, then crunch em all up for Augment slot parts, and you end up getting 10 of Mat A and 2 of Mat B….repeat this 50 times with similar results and suddenly you have a mountain of Mat A and a handful of Mat B, but when farming, they drop in equal measure, leaving you always having to buy piles of just Mat B. It sucks. I am glad its all one material now.

Ahh I never really paid attention to what mats you gat back, but now I get it. That always bugged me why I had so much of one and not the other.

If this makes crafting simpler and more streamlined I’m all for it. Right now I have SO MUCH storage space taken up with mats, it’s insane…

So glad I sold my Matter Transubstantiator when they were worth 1m+ ea and bought tons of the other stuff get changed into Exotic Isotope Stabilizer for next to nothing, made pretty penny

I am going to be drowning in Exotic Isotope Stabilizer. I could single handedly stabilize ALL the exotic isotopes. Whatever that means.

I should be able to do that, and have enough left over to fill in all the gaps between the Mesa’s. Welcome to the stabilized grasslands and plains of Naq’eb.

So if I buy a bunch of MK-9 aug kits right now I would have the top tier aug kits tomorrow?
*rubs hands together* interestinggggg

10 minutes after they released the first notification all that stuff went higher than mk 10’s atleast on my server

Nah, read the conversions. You can buy MK-10 or MK-9s and tomorrow they will be MK-8s. People will raise the MK-8 prices cause of the info but you can maybe still get MK-9 and 10 for cheap until people realize that by getting those 2, you are in the end buying MK-8s

Nothing? Its still going to be tradeable for Mats. Just all those redundant mats will most likely be gone off the vendors.

Still have stacks of them in my banks. I save mine for a “rainy day” when somethings not available on the gtn.

I know this probs not right page but can anyone explain how influence will work on insta 60s can I still romance an original companion like ashara or kira? Or does the installation 60 also take that away? Do we still have use of comp gifts?

The insta level 60 starts you at the new content & assumes past choices for you. For instance if you’re a Jedi it assumes you made mostly Light Side choices.

It basically works the same way Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 did.

Comp gifts are definitely still in use since the new packs still drop them. As for the original companions you get them back after you finish the kotfe story so you can romance them I suppose but your affection/influence with them is probably at 0 if you you using an instant 60

I see. And with the fact that comps can betray you there no guarantee that a certain companion will remain available for romancing then?

Maybe I won’t risk my free 60 on sorcery incase I can’t romance ashara seeing as she is light side only

Hehe true. Maybe I’ll wait a bit before using my free 60 and use one of my 60s until I know how the system really will work

After a lot of research in the forums, I haven’t seen anything that answers my question, are the schematics we learnt by RE an item disappearing?

Personally I learnt the schematic of a purple crystal (artifact quality) which it’s stat (power) nor the mats required are disappearing, so will I be able to craft that after 4.0?

I would say itll still be there because they did say that old school recipes that are no longer offered will be put in their own category called archive or something like that.

It will still be there under a section called Archives. So those schematics you learned will still be yours and still available

I think a lot of the materials may change, but crystal schematics are unlikely to be removed. Stuff like earpieces, implants, stuff that are attribute-specific, those are probably getting archived or removed, though.

i think they mentioned that only things being archived are the schematics that have appearance options to them i.e. outfits… not 100% on it though

“Advanced Anodyne Fortitude Stim Advanced Anodyne Versatile Stim” what? O.o
they’re removing tank stims or something?

No, but with the combining of the four primary stats into Mastery, you don’t need as many types of stim anymore, so many are superfluous now. Same effect, just different names, basically.

I get why the mainstat stims get converted into mastery stims, but the list also includes both presence and endurance stims getting converted into mastery stims
Which makes me wonder if they just made a mistake or if they’re removing presence and endurance stims for good

Across my toons, I’ve probably got two or three dozen cargo holds and legacy holds full of crafting mats that are going to look staggeringly different this time tomorrow. About time some of this stuff gets updates.

“All old Operation Gear tokens will be changed into a lockbox which contains Glowing Data Crystals.”

I didn’t get completely through this thread nor the Patch Notes thread due to time constraints. However, wanted get some feedback. I have a near complete set of 192 Resurrected tokens I had been saving for post 4.0. Is there a consensus over the fate of these tokens? Are they considered “old” now and will be changed into Glowing Crystals? Should I perhaps go ahead and buy a new Armor Set with bonuses for a new 60? Thanks for any informed comments.

Honestly… This makes me wonder if the Yellow color crystals are going away…. This looks like they are, or their recipes are being drastically altered….

I imagine all of the recipes that use the stuff that’s going away will be changed to use the stuff that is replacing it, with the intent being less clutter in our inventories.

I hope the made all the standard single color crystal lvl 10 with +41 stats, it makes no sense to keep crafting the low level ones for shit stat when you can just get a CM version with better stats

according to torcommunity. com yellow stat crystals will stay but require red basic crystals to make (+ the new bonded attachments and the rare crystal of appropriate lvl)

Pristine Adegan Crystal Red Polychromic Crystal

Rough Magenta Crystal Shard Red Polychromic Crystal

Magenta Adegan Crystal Red Polychromic Crystal

WTH? I farmed those for crafting Magenta crystals…

And not only that. All of them were purple ones. And they are converted to shitty Green one, and now you need another purple mat to make them. It is complete retardness and I think this will be last two months of my ingame time…

Pretty much yeah… Ton of purple mats are converted to green crap, and half of purples are converted to blue. I mean, yeah, crafting dark projects is much easier now, but still, niche items are gotten fucked…
