But seriously though, I’m really looking forward to it.. 1500 lines of unique dialogue, that’s gotta be a lot of chickens

    • Bring back the Marionette boss

I hope there is enough action to tag along with the lines of dialogue. I recently replayed the HoT story on an alt and my god the Rata Novus mission is abominable. 90% of it is waiting for Taimi and watching unskippable cutscenes and dialogue. I am not exaggerating, go try it.

      • Nick Peterson

i agree but Taimi is the only character i like lol other then older ones

    • Virindi Quidiox

“I’m Groot” in 1500 different languages FTW!

  • Knight_ldr

Hopefully the new fractal will show us how Rytlock left the mists, I would love to see that!

    • Nick Peterson

yer i was kind of sad u didnt have a hole new start area playing a revent little back story

      • Colosso

I d like to know why in the hell my revenant forgot all his racial skills?

        • Phobia256

          He’s racial indifferent duh 😉

    • mrh

      This is Rytlock’s story:

      • mrh

Sigh, sorry i didn’t check the clip first and host seems to have chopped it up.

        • Archi

haha i get the idea though. that does kind of look like Rytlock capturing his spirits in the mists

    • nadrian3k

That would be cool yes. Rytlock’s story was the most interesting out of all…and probably the most emotional one (apart from that brief moment Eir’s death). The rest were just boring cliches

  • Colosso

So no news Legendary armor collection vol 2?

    • burntorangenavyblue

      Definitely wouldn’t hold your breath

    • Nick Peterson

weapons have been put on hole till 2017 100% armor i image will be pushed just for the fact there trying to get more players to do raids

  • burntorangenavyblue

What’s with the push of marketing how much voice dialogue is in LS3? Why is that a thing? Voice quantity =/= Content quality.

If I recall, some of HOT and the vanilla game had moments of cutscenes that were unskippable and you wanted to rip your hair out being forced to resit through it. Don’t get me started on NPCs repeating stuff over and over and over and over when you stand 75 feet away from them!

I’m intigued by the title, maybe a push out of the jungle to the Crystal Desert while the White Mantle make an official presence? Or a new race comes aknocking? Tengue?

    • Devu

Crystal Desert would be cool. Had a tinfoil hat theory about Kralk, Snaff and Fractals (since that story is meant to run parallel to the LS3) but we’ll see.

  • Nick Peterson

New episodes to be released every 2-3 months after that o.o

    • saif khan

They are stretching out everything they got.

      • nadrian3k

If it’s a healthy&lengthy episode every 2-3 months it’s a good move…but reality always beats theory. We will have to wait and see.

  • RKC

Thanks the gods that it will be 2-3 months per episodes instead of every 2 weeks. It was a hassle trying to get it done in the 2 weeks (otherwise you’re left in the dust if you’re behind for too long) especially for those whose don’t played it all the time (school, work etc)!!

  • Alot

    But I digress.

What this appears to be is a 2 minute spoiler, ruining every single dramatic moment throughout HoT without context, followed by 5 seconds of sneak. Anet, as usual, outdoes itself -.-

    • Knight_ldr

Well, yeah, the target *WAS* the jungle itself in this case XD

      • Alot

We probably killed more tree frog people then the Mordrem did – and that’s before we dropped the explosive filled wreckages down upon them -.-

        • Knight_ldr

I’m sure they had it coming… And hey, who doesn’t like fried frog legs anyway?

        • Bring back the Marionette boss

Wish we bombed some pocket raptors instead. Those little devils are responsible for more deaths than Mordremoth himself.

          • Alot

The pocket variety are probably the result of radioactive fallout from the pact wreckages.

    • nadrian3k

The jungle was the enemy basically 😀 so hit anything hit the enemy…

      …. MURICA!

  • Ardenwolfe

    About time.

  • HadesClutch

2-3 months though? So not the typical bi-weekly updates we are used to?

    • Archi

No, they announced a while back that they wouldn’t be doing the biweekly stuff anymore because they felt it forced them to rush content that wasn’t ready and they were not always happy with the results

  • Cloudz

These must be pretty large stories for it to require 2-3 months of creation. I’ll hold my breath, but jeez that’s a long time.

  • Thetruthisntalwayspopular

If it’s only going to be 2/3 months hope they launch a new map as large as silverwastes.

    • Bring back the Marionette boss

I hope they make more maps like Dry Top and not just prolonged giant zerg fests like all the HoT maps.

      • Thetruthisntalwayspopular

But we can do without all the drytop jumping.

  • Diggity

Not a fan of bundled releases. Do I try the new features or do I play the new story? LW should be released separate. Reminds me of the time they released SAB and Ascended weapons in the same update and no one played SAB because everyone was farming and crafting ascended weps.

  • Colosso

I will start saving my Laurels and my T6. Any other suggestion to prepare myself for the next LW ?

  • Damonwex

K got it log back in 2 weeks.

  • \///

Yet still no sale on HoT? :/

  • Constellations

The only question left for me: will these episodes last roughly an hour, like Season 2 episodes did? And by an hour I mean one hour of content, not half hour content, one week of grind to have an item you need for the story, other half hour with episode ending.

With 2-3 months between relases, knowing we used to get 1 hour stories every 2 weeks, I expect at least 4 hours of new story (including gameplay in instance and videos too) episodes, that roughly equals to 2 months in the old delivery schedule. So 4 hours for every 2-3 months is a fair expectation I’d say. An expectation that ArenaNet will undoubtedly fail to meet, because they always do.

    • Guest

I highly expect it to be the same amount of the previous season with the new 2-3 months release circle
