Yeah, they sure look pretty! Pitty they’re platinum items again. I’ve just about had it with that nonsense!

TUK’ATAAAAAAA

I am resoundingly FLOORED that this is a direct purchase, and not a Gold rarity pack item. Very pleasing!

The Lightsaber,i will definitely get,Its so awesome, unique, very interesting. The unstable effect, xD ( no longer toothpicky lightsaber like previous one and the protruding saber behind is very interesting). Too bad its not Cartel Purchase but still i’ll get though its gonna cost ahell lot of creds.

There will also Wampa Companions for Lifeday based on the Livestream.

The Xmas Tauntaun. i want it. looks funny & adorable. ;p

Some of the Direct Purchase is nice, i may get 1 or 2 but i’m gonna ignore it for the moment though A Direct purchase can be bought anytime xp

Man, I’ve been emailing back and forth with Musco and mentioning this in a lot of my videos, so it’s great to finally see more items go for direct sale as opposed to packs and random goofiness. At least now someone gets EXACTLY what they pay for, if that’s what they wanted.

I love this because they’re adding more Zakuul decorations that I can use to fill my Zakuul-themed Coruscant stronghold. I’m sad because I know they’ll all sell for multiple millions each.

Also, what’s with all the direct purchase stuff? I don’t know if they’re just figuring out that they can get more money by selling things directly, or if they just want to add more income in addition to the packs, and make it harder for people who don’t buy packs to obtain them. Either way, I still just wish they would stop.

That’s understandable, but I think it’d be better to have them be dependent on RNG and be available for (usually) reasonable prices on the GTN, instead of being sold for way more cartel coins and being sold for a fortune on the GTN. Making things exclusive to direct purchase means that way less people will have access to them through other means.

“(Usually) reasonable prices.”

Sorry. that part made me laugh so loud I gave the cat a heart attack. If the items is a Bronze level, then yes you are correct. Sometimes they are insanely cheap after a pack drop. But once the pack is retired or the item hits Silver or higher, the price shoots up quickly. Gold armors, weapons and mounts can easily run into the 30-50 million range while the pack is available, and double or even triple that once the pack is out. And forget it about Platinum. I have yet to see any below 100 million.

Direct Purchase means not only do we have a set price and expectation, but we know it will always be available. You can work toward the cash to buy it, without the worry that someone will get it first or in 2 days it’ll be gone. There are dozens of items you simply cannot get right now because they sold out. Direct Purchase makes sure you do have the options, and of late they have been offering more than just old game armor skins.

Ultimately I see this as a positive. I have always been against the idea of RNG loot boxes in MMORPGS, and would love to see more of a direct marketplace. Maybe if they also set up a system that allowed you to purchase CC with in-game credits, that may mollify some players with limited cash and encourage them to play more.

Unstable Lightsabers are Platinum and are way cheaper than 100 million. Not that they’re not overpriced, but when a new pack comes out, I usually spend a total of 3-4 million credits to buy ALL the bronze and silver items, and some times a couple gold mounts if the pack is really popular.

They will never give the option to buy CC with credits, because they will lost their most imporant source of profit that way.

I still have not seen an Unstable Lightsaber for less than 85 million, and sorry but that is FAR too much for a single weapon.

Granted that IMHO, NO weapon is worth more than 5 million to me.

Butting into the conversation and speaking of things I know little about: you guys should exchange server names. My understanding is that prices vary A LOT from server to server, and you might be talking about very different prices for the same item…

Granted. I pretty much stick to Ebon Hawk (in my constant attempts to role play) so I can’t look at the markets of other servers save by reports of people on them. I do know a guy that swaps items about but no idea how he does it and he’s WAY past my price range.

I’m also not in the market for an Unstable saber. No thanks do not like. But if I could find a reasonably priced pikesaber, I would be happy to buy it off someone and start my first Shadow or Assassin.

Assassin/Shadow is one of my favourite classes in the game. My 3rd character ever made was a Deception Assassin, and I love that class to this day. After that I made two more Shadows, a Serenity Shadow (a Miraluka outfitted with Visas Marr armor, of course) and a Kinetic Combat ( a Sith, just to piss off RP’ers looooool). So yeah, I guess I have all the adv classes. I love them all. Funnily enough, it’s the Force-using tank I use the most, even if people say it’s the most difficult to play well. I have a harder time with Warrior/Knight tanks. Go figure…

Make one. It’s really fun, both Deception or Hatred are fast-paced and very mobile. Darkness is an acquired taste I guess, but then I’m not the world’s greatest tank. I’ve only tanked in SM Ops, never more than that…

Sorry for the rant. I just REALLY love this class…

No worries. I’m a massive fan of Smugglers, BHs and Sages. But before I make any new character, I create a story about them first and design the look around them. I have an idea for a Shadow/Assassin but I do need that pike. Without it, it just doesn’t work. So if I can somehow get one, I’ll make one…until then I’ll just slowly work on the 14 other guys I have 😉

So…we are getting a bunch of new Direct Purchase items..and thy don’t suck?

Could it be that they are finally listening to us?

We have so much Zakuulan decorations, wonder if we will have Zakuul SH one day.
Like life day items.
So much nice Direct Purchase items…. it’s nearly too good to be true.
That unknown item is most likely a new weapon tuning, looks like bengal lights.

Direct purchases are 1000 times better than RNG boxes. At least I know I’m buying the thing I want and not some super stupid chance cube.

Depends. In previous previews some armor was silver rarity that appears as direct purchase in this one. Silver items sell between 200k and 600k usually. Cheap direct purchase items ( say unlocks in the couple hundred CC range) priced around 2M generally. In this case direct purchase drives up GTN prices. For golds and platinum, sure, it’s better for everyone to buy directly from CM

There is a revealing bronze armor that sells for the price of gold items. The quality doesnt always matter.
Same with the platinum lightsaber pike. I got one but I cant sell it, nobody seems to want it.
I bought the ziost lightsaber when it was on direct sale. NEVER regretted it! I cant name a single item I wear with my chars from a pack…

Question: How much are you selling the pikesaber? I’ve seen this one on the market for weeks, never touched…going for around 300 million. NO ONE is going to buy a pikesaber or double-blader for that much.

When I got it the price was 200mil and abit more. Within days it dropped and dropped. Its now at 72mil. Which is odd because the pike is out for little over 2 weeks I think and the price was lower at first.
I always sell slightly lower than the lowest current available, maybe 1-2% less. I even tried finding someone who might be willing to trade it for a defiant vented lightsaber but no luck there either.

Well then good for you for bucking the trends. Here’s one of the problems with selling that weapon: only 2 classes can take it, and those are among the least popular ones. The Assassin/Shadow classes are not exactly at the top of the list of player types, and none of the rest can have it. And no one is going to buy such an expensive weapon for a Companion unlock. Standard Lightsabers however are used by 6 classes, some of them the most popular in the game.

I would love to get the pikesaber, but of late my playtime is extremely limited and I barely have 10 million spread out along all my characters. I also don’t have an Assassin or Shadow…so as much as I’d like to have it, it’s not feasible to spend that much time to get the credits to buy it. And there are a lot of players like that too.

I wish you luck selling it.

Now Im facing a new problem.
I had the thought of trading my pike for a defiant vented lightsaber but nobody was interested. Now I have just abit more than enough to buy the desired saber but Im hesitating. I had a similar problem with the revan reborn set. I gathered money but in the end I spend all the money I made through the GTN to get the remaining pieces and was left with the money I made in the weeks earlier. Took me three days to finally buy the last items but I think today it was worth it because I love outfits.
I think I wouldnt hesitate if the saber would have a better sound effect.

Its the problem of wanting to spend money when we have it and be penny-pinching when we have less money. Gotta love the struggles 😀

Normally I would agree, if all direct purchases weren’t so expensive. And the problem is that most of these are gold, which means that people will charge a lot for them on the GTN if someone wants to buy them with credits.

Not really, both WoW and ESO have almost only direct purchases and they both seem to be doing well.

And singleplayer = mods

I don’t get the moans about direct purchase vs rng boxes.
If you don’t want to take the risk on the pack drops, buy some packs, sell on GTN when they are cooled down and buy with in game creds.
You sometimes get a much better deal.

About 2 years ago and before that, buying packs and sell stuff you didn’t need was far more viable and profitable compared to the last 1+ year or so. At that point, I would’ve agreed with you and I usually bought 2-4 hypercrates with every new pack.

Around the start of 2016 tho I usually found myself with far too much crap that never went for a sell price above 10k, and nowhere near enough rare drops compared to before. Which was also when I stopped buying crates since they weren’t worth the price anymore.

Direct purchases are better tho IMO, usually went for those all the time if I liked the items. Not sure of the prices for boxes, but I’d suspect enough players know of the drop rates to go for the items directly instead of the packs. Might be wrong there tho 🙂

No I don’t mean open the packs and sell the contents, I mean just sell the packs.
Up to a year ago you were lucky to get 350-400k per pack on the GTN but nowadays its between 1-2million per pack therefore 1 hypercrate will net you between 26 – 52 million creds.
I made 100+million on 2 hypercrates from the last packs and bought all the nice toys on the GTN from the packs.
Much easier.

I think what the person meant was the profit margins of selling crates has dropped quite a bit. Thanks to the limited variety of Bronze items, the heavy amount of Bronze drops and the loss of desired secondary items like Cartel Certifications or Reputation Items, the demand is at an all-time low. Add in that the offerings of recent packs have not been all that great.

I have noticed that pack prices have gone way up…which is why I no longer buy any of them off the GTN. The price of far too many items have skyrocketed, and the Platnium Item prices are just silly. If you happen to be one of the lucky few that can grind out 50-100 million a week, it’s no problem. But for those of us that have full lives and can play only occasionally, it’s a waste.

And on a personal level, since my in-game funds cannot keep up with the prices you demand, I much rather buy directly from the CM and get EXACTLY what I want at a set price, than depend on random chance and sell-outs. Packs are ok for the surprise fun, but ultimately not that appealling. I would rather ALL the items and gear go for Direct Purchase, and completely dump the random packs forever.

So in essence, players have gotten dumber and/or the in-game currency inflation is probably increasing even faster than before?

So disgusting that anything they make they put into the greedy cartel market to further exploit the dumb people waisting money.Imagine if some of these things were rewards for doing gameplay right SHOCKER ……….

I don’t have a problem if they make stuff you have to pay extra money for.

The problem is, all the stuff you can gain by playing the game looks so awful! there should be at least some nice items you can get by playing the fucking game!

The operation-dropped revanite black-and-red sets were good. Amazing, even. Stocked on them on quite a few characters before they were gone from the game.

I totally agree. They need to implement more ingame ways to acquire items. Take that holiday wampa why not a unique quest on hoth to go tame one?

“Dumb people waisting money” how else do you think MMOs pay for dev and serves cost?

Simple truth is there are less and less people willing to sub these days so they need to rely on largely CM sales to support the game. It’s how F2P model works… CM is mostly cosmetic stuff anyway. If they gave away cool looking cosmetic gear as reward they’re robbing themselves. They’re running a business that needs to make money, they don’t do it for charity. They need to get money out of F2P players to make it worth their time and effort updating other aspects of the game.

Most people are not as loyal to one single MMO as they used to be. They swap around, some return some don’t that’s why sub only model MMOs have almost all switched to F2P because it provides devs with income from lots of small transactions but doesn’t force the player to commit to subbing.

Well, if they focused on creating more quality content , they would have more people subbing. But hey, what do I know, I’ve only played this game for 3 years.

Played since early access and totally agree. If people won’t sub to your game, it’s because your game isn’t good enough.

As an old City Of Heroes player, that’s not always the case. The game had plenty of subs and was doing well, but the company closed it down anyway.

Like always… there may be some helmet, gloves, boots that can be used to build your own custom armor, that looks like it could belong to some character in the Star Wars universe (and not like whatever ugly designs they put together).

It’s the way it was meant to be. You mix and match parts you like from different sets to create your unique look. If the sets only looked good as completed sets then we would have too many clones running around and Tor Fashion wouldn’t exist.

I hate to say this but i think i like the Unstable Peacemaker’s Lightsaber. my god whats wrong with me. D’OH!

Yes well many ppl who throw in way too much cash for the Milking Market in game store in Half Mmo Called Swtor don’t have Stable Mental Condition. Naturally sincere wishes for them to have good Recovery & stop it 🙂

“A custom speeder, specially designed for the Alliance Commander. The only way to ride into battle
This item is exclusive to the Cartel Market”

From a lore perspective, this doesn’t make sense. Why would you sell something specifically designed for one person, or one job, on the open market? I’m just sayin’, whoever thought up this description sucks.

Yes, I am just upset that there’s still not even any mention of GSF content. Infiltrator ship or riot!

Lore wise that could have been a mission reward, but then it sounds like the Commander got it for free. I think in-fiction it was something the Commander custom ordered.

I think in normal mmo its obvious that there many players/characters. Here we have 1 person and everyone is him/her or try to be him/her. Pardon my french, but i hope you understand what i mean. (:

Haha Exactly.. That’s Swtor’s Eaware Crew & their Descriptions in game.. for all.. 😀 🙁 Not only silly Description seen as there are some others in loading screens & elsewhere.

I kinda think it’s a bit meh myself but it you think it’s good… go nutz :p

I kind of sigh with relief sometimes when there’s nothing I want on CM… Too much of a good thing hurts my wallet 😉

I like that it has this little backward light-spike, and the handle fits the blade image better than the older Unstable saber. However, lightsaber handles are rarely a big deal. You can barely see them and unless they have a blade effect you tend to focus more on the color of the blade. The Pikesaber is the first time they changed that dynamic.

Yes.. Too easy real dime Bling bling Milking with help of Big Franchise for one of the Laziest Dev Crews seen on Mmo Field “Half Mmo on these days..” :/ Shameful for making one of the biggest Mistakes in Vid Game Industry by Choosing Bad Outdated Glitchy HeroEngine as Game-Engine.. Still horrible in late 2016 & many better Engines send their Regards as one person mentioned earlier. Oh y many of them wouldn’t be hard for the Rig unlike current one which gives hiccups even for some high end Rigs.

Shame on Swtor’s Eaware crew. Happy to Finally cancel sub before December’s automatic renewal & sharing the shameful development of this Product around the web when have time after work. Was such Disgusting move by Eaware to release that Ugly Mind Boggling Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber & Cash In thanks to many Blind Sheeps feeding the CM.

Wish u nice gaming in whatever game that is. Kind Regards: Mmo Gamer since 2004 & gamer who appreciates Real Content & Content where need to work for Char Proggression.

you seem to post alot about how bad swtor is, maybe trie a different mmo? wow legion i decent. Theyre are plenty out here. do u need some attention? its okay that you dont like swtor just find another place.

and if you truely want strong char pregression, play wow. especially inn legion with the artifact weapons.

Helloez. Sincere ty for suggesting new ways to enjoy time in Some beautiful V.Universe created by developers of Vid Gaming Industry. I was in beautiful Azeroth from golden early Vanilla Days to Early 2014. Returned in mid 2015 for a few months & was active in couple Mmo’s at same time. Then b to ESO & Swtor.. Had some good times with Guild in Swtor until many left & our activity time dropped to 0%.. Many stopped doing things ofc because Eaware stopped delivering actual content..

Last time Half Mmo Called Swtor got Actual Content was at end of 2014 / early 2015. Now we’re almost at last month of 2016 & Actual Content / True Mmo / Grp Gameplay not in sight 🙁 Y have seen all the inc. stuff at 5.0 the Semi Singleplayer small Dlc. Indeed Blizzard the good Company that merged with Activision long time ago “Sad But True” released Legion Expansion. It’s pretty entertaining & so far i’ve only touched Legion’s Surface & curious to see it further. Even though Sad that Blizzard gave up already for the lazymode fans there by already Unlocking the Flying Mounts for Broken Isles. As Veteran Mmo’er & Blizz fan since -95 was hoping / estimated them to delay it at least to Feb 2017..

Shame that gave up for Lazymode ppl asking in Forums & also once again asked it in Blizzcon event.. Trololz 🙁 One GM said to me just couple weeks before the Broken Isles Flying Unlock that he also hopes for it to be far far away. Was great to hear again one Employee who is against Simplified gameplay even on that area 🙂 Idd Legion brought some good features & very welcome changes & one is Artifact weapons.

I’ve been around with Swtor from 1st Beta day & Sub Since launch “automatic renewal finally gets canceled before Dec Charge” so it’s Frustrating for Swtor veteran.. Also as of person who’s seen good & bad times in Mmo’s & been Mmo’er since 2004. Oh no no not in need of attention with these posts where i share Sad Facts about once good Swtor Development 🙂 So No need as i’m pretty content with attention what get atm. in rl & in Virtual Universes. Enough at work & outside work time.

It’s good to have chat here with ppl who see how the product’s development really has gone downhill since good old early days or just a lot after 3.0 landed. Even 3.0 brought lots of silly simplifications & linear gameplay :/ I’m also sharing the facts of current Development around the web so it’s not about seeking attention, but to inform possible newcomers about the content & “content” what’s waiting for them. Naturally posting to Official sites once in a while.

Supported Swtor since launch “even with few CC purchases until noticed that Development Direction not changing to better”, but really can’t take this lazy mode Development where Devs Not Respecting their Veterans & True Mmo’er.. To add some silly minor things where they tried to give some love for Pvp.. Rishi Arena came in spring 2016 & it was year late as SOR expansion came 1y + before. When Silly Eternal Crapship “Championship” came out it was huge Disappointment that it wasn’t made as EC Ops..

Same for at least 1x Star Fortress not being released as Operation.. Like some Mother Star Fortress that could’ve been linked to Kotfe Story with some way.. If Eaware would’ve had resources & Brains to do that then many Veterans would’ve come back for sure.. Rp’ers still missing basic Mmo Feature known as “Click to Interact” from Many most populated Hubs like Cantina’s in Capital Planet & in Fleet.. Fleet that shouldn’t have been made at all.. So then ppl would be out in the Galaxy.. Even it’s disappointing Theme Park design & heavily instanced esp. after 4.0 & continues at 5.0 🙁

Also still missing important basic Mmo Feature after 5x years.. “Use Tab key to Toggle ppl u whispered with since previous Login” very helpful & wanted QOL addition when whispering with multiple ppl at same time. It’s been in Wow since it’s golden early days & also in several others for a long time.. Finally after 4x years Eaware added whisp via guild window, but surprise surprise doesn’t work if target name has special marks. Sure can whisp to them with typing the Guild name to search field.

Sincere thanks again & like said leaving this Star Wars Dress Up game behind after December & Years long autom.renewal Sub goes offline. Wish you nice gaming in whatever game that is 🙂 Kind Regards: Mmo Gamer since 2004 & person who Dislikes Gameplay Simplification no matter the Area loves it when Greed not involved with Development. @RipGoodSwtorDevelopment

Of course, when I realised it was all about the comp I did it just fine. What a bummer that one was lol… <– Know the Feelz.. Sad sad sad that Eaware didn't give something like Mother Star Fortress that would've been slightly remade to it's basic layout and made it to be Operation.. That would've been linked to story just as the other silly ones were. Oh boy oh boy would've that brought many ppl back.. Yes.. Also Eternal Crapship to be Operation.. Imagine all that time being used to create it & it's Combat mechanics for silly Pve.. Oh Momma would've been great as Operation..

Boom! There love for Swtor's Mmo Community & not even 1,5 y since previous Operation(s).. We saw what happened.. Eaware decided that nooooo lets Cash in with Hk pieces as silly 6+ Months Sub Reward & lure ppl to give us Easy $$ like that.. Then they get the Childish "Finding Dory" Hk-55 Bonus Chapter.. Hearing that FemDroid speech there almost gave me nightmares & did give minor headache which didn't last long, but headache anyway. Pegi-12 Rating was seen well right there..

Take care enjoy gaming in whatever game that is o/ 🙂 #RipGoodSwtorDevelopment

Sincere ty for suggesting new ways to enjoy time in Some beautiful V.Universe created by developers of Vid Gaming Industry. I was in beautiful Azeroth from golden Vanilla Days to Early 2014. Swtor Sub since launch.

Last time Half Mmo known as Swtor got Actual Content was at end of 2014 / early 2015. Now we’re at late 2016 & Actual Content / True Mmo / Grp Gameplay not in sight 🙁 Y have seen all the inc. stuff at 5.0 the Semi Singleplayer small Dlc.

Shame that Blizzard gave up for Lazymode ppl asking in Forums & also once again was asked in Blizzcon event.. One GM said to me just couple weeks before the Broken Isles Flying Unlock that he also hopes for Unlock to be far away. Was great to hear again one Employee who is against Simplified Gameplay even on that area 🙂 Idd Legion brought some good features & very welcome changes & one is Artifact weapons.

Life Day Tauntaun that they made 3 years ago is finally coming to the game. Good, I was pissed they dropped him because people complained about immersion breaking.

Yes! It is time to sing!!!

Rudolph, the cool-nosed tauntaun
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows…

Is it possible that any of these are buyable with the new Dark/Light tokens in 5.0 or are we sure this is all on the CM?

Love the fact that they seem to be listening and finally starting to offer more direct purchase Items. Hope it’ll become a trend… I was boycotting the lottery crates personally since I sunk way too much money chasing gold and platinum items in the past which weren’t worth it.

I’ll definitely be grabbing a few of those Items on direct purchase 🙂

Command Corsair and the Lifeday Tauntaun’s will be mine Xp

Ain’t written that life day items will be direct purchase but for the survivalist jedi set and Imperial Bastion set that I can’t wait for

Indeed so nothing has changed when it comes to purchase Lottery system. Low drop ratio so ppl spend more & Eaware gets to deliver better sales numbers via Milking Market for their EA Overlords. Blind Sheeps keep feeding them & they smile when see Bling bling $. Still advertising silly things like walker mount as Sub / Pre Order Reward for upcoming “Expansion & mean that small adhd COD dlc for what seen instead of Expansion”.

Also other things like Hk Pieces for Sub Reward..Hihi @Eaware & @swtor 🙁 Wish u nice gaming in whatever game that is 🙂

true true but judging from previous life days the associated items are usually on CM as direct purchase during the event

Attention employees of EAware. Please go to Dulfy and post something about how blown away you are at the new cartel market offerings and can’t wait to buy them. Kgo!

The butt hurt is strong with this one…

You know you don’t have to stay on the hate bandwagon forever. I used to hate 95% of the CM stuff they cranked out but the last pack or two 40% of the stuff weren’t half bad so I gave them good feedback because I think they’re improving.

They’ve even said they’ll concentrate on more group content next because people were complaining about there not being any new group stuff for ages.

Don’t know about you but to me it sounds like they’re listening to player feedback. If you just complain all the time but don’t compliment them when they’re doing something right all you’ll do is demoralize the devs but you’re not telling them what to aim for.

People need positive reinforcement to motivate them. Constructive criticism to point them in the right direction. Simply saying everything is shit without explanation is pointless and serves no one.

But most of everything theyve done in the past 2 years has been shit and 5.0 doesnt smell any better.

Trust me when they produce a decent quality/quantity of mmorpg content then I’ll be first on here and SWTOR forums to pat them on the back.

This. I want a big expansion I can put my teeth into and that gives me a different experience depending on whatever class I play besides “this doesn’t make sense since this toon isn’t force sensitive”. And that is heavy in content and where the coolest items aren’t purchased for RL money, but unlocked through game play or in game currencies.

If they achieve this by cutting costs on VA and going with more KOTOR dialogue interfaces then no problem, just give us an expansion that feels worth replaying more than once and isn’t dependent on grinding the exact same things (including stuff we’ve already played for the last 4+ years) over and over and over.

Well, KOTOR cuts only PC VA, NPC still are talking heads. Also I think its not about money on VA, quality programming worth alot more.

I wonder how bad shape their engine really is in, can’t shake the feeling that it’s that one that’s holding the game back in a lot of ways.

Its not in a bad shape, they actually added alot of stuff to GP part and physics. All that Bloom, DOF, LOD, View distance, it was not on launch.

What they need is further exlore the abilities of what they have. I think we`ll see some really new things in 5.0. All this Mount missions they announced is not hard to make, but it requires a good understanding of gameplay mechanics, which devs might not have, as they are coders, not designers.

We`ll just see what we will have in next year. I really hope for the best.

Too late damn it. Too fucking late. If my mom told me to go to the supermarket to bring eggs so that she can bake my favorite dessert and I told her “sure, I will do it in 2 years” she should slap me in the face. And you’re telling me that I should react to the slap, and say “could you just give me constructive criticism?”

I can’t even believe how people invent excuses for the devs of SWTOR, it’s almost indecent at this point. You want explanation?
– They release Galactic Starfighter and let it die. This part of the game is a joke.
– The people who play pvp got Odessen, the only new WZ in the last 3 years.
– No new operations in 2 years.
– Star Fortresses = total failure

If you’re expecting players to be the new creative directors for this game, then you’d have to pay us.

Don’t forget the Eternal Championship! I actually had a harder time than I could foresee. Tried a couple of times and died when the tactics stopped being about me. Rather I had to micromanage my comp… Of course, when I realised it was all about the comp I did it just fine. What a bummer that one was lol…

Maybe they are excuses or maybe they are variables that need to be taken into account. There are many different tastes within the larger context of SW gaming and BW has to juggle those interests within, what people suspect, is a finite budget.
With that in mind it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that an MMO heavily oriented around story would attract a player base interested in that aspect, and if they represent the majority of subscribers…well?
I get that people who like traditional MMO content are frustrated and perhaps that manifests itself in overt negativity, but its a completely counter-productive mindset. “Produce decent content then I will be nice.” Or you could be civil and perhaps see the content you want. The old saying: You can be part of the problem or part of the solution.

Please enlighten me about the ways that I am not civil. I myself have a job, and every semester I get ratings. If I don’t do my job well, my ratings will not be good. It’s as simple as that. Instead of trying to pat myself on the back and convince myself that no one gets me and the job that I do, I will simply do my job better.

I actually talked with Musco and the two voice actors that were guests in the NY cantina for a few minutes, and I expressed my concerns about the future of the game in a friendly casual discussion. I was clearly not the only one. I have been to 3 consecutive NY cantinas, and each year it’s a lot worse than the previous one, in every aspect. What has mostly made an impression to me though, is the people and how less enthusiastic they are about this. Most people didn’t even care about the coverage of KOTET during that cantina event.

I am sorry, but as I said before, it’s actually offensive to blame the player base for the poor state of the game currently. It’s not like we don’t love the game and don’t want it to go well. If anything, all my guildmates are hoping that SWTOR will become better in the near future, so that they can actually return to it. Instead of that, more people are unsubbing… You can talk about productive discussions all you want, it has been a very long time since people started getting disappointed, and I don’t think it will stop anytime soon…

My apologies if I wasn’t clear. My statement about civility was meant in a general context not specifically. Its the commentary consisting of “this sucks and this is shit”, and so on that, in my opinion, only causes the Devs and such to disengage, contributing to the seeming disconnect. Good on you to attend the cantinas and express your concerns directly. Not really an option for me.
As for the poor state of the game, that is ultimately subjective right? I still think your contention of the player base as innocent victim is inaccurate. There is an element of the community that will never be satisfied with anything BW does. I’m not referring to trolls but players who truly have unrealistic expectations, especially if some of what I alluded to previously is accurate.

Nicely put. When you open with negative criticism, people tend to react by either ignoring you or lashing back….like the old “Oh Yeah?!?” from the schoolyard. Clear evidence of this is our recent elections: the more people dumped on the supporters of a certain candidate, the more those supporters dug in their heels.

Instead, I would focus on what you like about the CM, and what you would really want to see. Silence and non-purchase of a product speaks louder than negativity. But loud praise, and suggestions (good, well-thought out suggestions) do receive attention. It’s one of the reasons we got the Bronze Items back.

Not Butt Hurt, but Simple Facts after seen how things go with Swtor’s Eaware Crew. Sad, But True.. :/ Wish u nice gaming in whatever game that is & take care. Kind Regards: Swtor Veteran & Mmo Gamer since 2004 & seen Mmo times since beauty UO was released.

If the Cartel Market Team took 6 months off, then MMO content would be unaffected and the game would lose revenue.

Yes, but if they kicked out/fired those working on cartel market and instead hired competent developers in their place, this game could make a large step into becoming what it could become!

Yes it’ll be a better game right before it gets shut down because it’s not making any money…

Why do you think MMOs all started switching to F2P model in the first place? It’s because not enough people want to commit to subbing. MMOs had to find other ways to make money to support it’s staff and server running costs.

By other MMO’s I’m going to guess you mean ones in the honeymoon phase. MMOs all get a bit stale after awhile. Rift and wow don’t even have any more content released each year despite having an excess of fanboys.

Can’t speak for WoW, but Rift has not long launched another massive expansion. Been chewing through it casually for a few days now, while swtor expansions are over within a few hours.

Not Long ago Trion World Released Pretty good new Content Patch for Rift 🙂 Enjoy times in beautiful Telara created by Trion Worlds 🙂 Always nice to do some Fishing in Telara & well.. Hmm Combat & checking out things heh 🙂

The lore sucks big time imho and the combat is pretty boring, but the customisation (gear wise anyway) is amazing and the dimension system puts swtor SH’s to shame. It’s not something I’d ever commit to as my ‘main’ MMO but I dabble for a few months at a time (and usually spend a fortune, but in Rift when you spend money you actually get something worthwhile so it’s almost enjoyable).

I’ll never understand why we can’t get a game that takes all the best elements from previous games and puts them into one. Perhaps the world would implode or something, I don’t know.

Just wish a company with some vision could come along and make something perfect :/

Legion (latest WoW release) is pretty big, and fun, it’s still going strong, it’s also miles ahead of SWTOR.

Haven’t played in in 2 weeks tho since Tyranny was released and oh my god it’s so fun to play. Best experience I’ve had playing an evil character in ages.

Legion is big indeed & 1st patch that came to it is around maybe couple or 3x Kotet Dlc’s “not expansions as it can’t be called as expansion for what we’ve seen” size..

It’s a bit short, but the replay value is through the roof and overall I haven’t had this much fun in a new game in years. So happy that isometric CRPG’s are making a comeback, this, PoE and Wasteland 2 and soon we have Torment: Tides of Numeria.

First playthrough was essentially my DS agent from TOR, teamed with Disfavoured and Tunon, she was a cynical jerk. Now I’m going with the equivalent of my old LS Inq and she’s helping the locals as well. Gonna go with my chaotic old SW and team with the Chorus after that one. Like it better than PoE, both with the combat and setting.

And their spells system is possibly the greatest part of the game, hope it’ll be their new standard going forward. Easy to grasp and so much fun to have with it.

Exactly.. Patch that is Wayyy Bigger than whole Kotet semi singleplayer heavily isntanced Corridor Run “or walk if prefer that movement” Dlc.. Y y Blizz has way bigger Budget & maybe more than 5x bigger Dev Crew.. Doesn’t change the silly fact that SW Franchise is one of the Biggest on this Planet & Eaware makes this Shameful work with Mmo that belongs for that Franchise..

Yeah not Mmo anymore as been Half Mmo for a while now :/ Wish you good weekend 🙂

No point in criticising other people’s choices my friend. It’ their time, their money. Only thing it will do is flame them, and degenerate the conversation. We should just point out the things we think are wrong and explain our points of view, and OUR choices…

Yes, I spend my gaming time in Tamriel now. Having a blast. Maybe in a couple year’s time I’ll be a “toxic hater”, but right now… Hell, I guess I’m a fanboy!!! looooool

A bit offtopic here, but can you answer a few questions? I recently got ESO, tried beta, but back then I thought it was meh. ESO have one megaserver for EU region? Is it really all Tamriel provinces there? Whats your feeling about their crowns system, if you use it? Thanks.

Yes, one megaserver for Europe, another for the States. ALL Tamriel provinces. Some of the content can only be accessed either through buying a Premium account, or by getting the DLC’s in separate.

Best option is to buy the game, get a Premium Account and use the Crowns you get to buy the DLC’s. If you let your Premium account lapse, or you simply don’t feel like paying for it, as you buy the DLC’s with the Crowns (a bit like our Cartel Coins system, you get Crowns with your Premium account) you will still have access to those areas.

Your welcome, Captain. Glad to be of service. 😉

Been Sub to beautiful ESO since launch & Totally recommend it. I’m in med size Rp’ing & Combat Guild. Our Guildmaster is fine Welsh lady & relaxed spirit in the Guild 🙂 Crown System is pretty well made by Zenimax Online Studios “Not Bethesda as Bethesday not ESO Developer like many often say by mistake” & ESO isn’t P2W. I’ll give some addon Recommendations here. Prepare for Novel Post 😛 I’m not using addons that speed up the Char Proggression with Skill Pts as i love to explore & feel the Rp side that way.
——————————————————————————————
Here are some Recommended Addons as u don’t want to have headache by looking the Default UI & it’s Elements which reminds of early 2k’s Design. Before start adventures in Beautiful Tamriel i strongly recommend to do these steps 1st. Minion Client to Handle Addons & that’s easy to use. http://www.esoui.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241

To Disable the Company logos popping when launching client and before at screen where can type credentials.
Navigate to Users [username]DocumentsElder Scrolls Onlinelive & open “User Settings.txt” in Notepad. Search for “Skip Pregame Videos.” It’s set to 0. That’s all wrong. Flip it to 1 and save 🙂

Some Addons that i recommend for Travels in beautiful Tamriel 🙂
—————————————————————————
1. Wykkyds Framework
Pure Gold mod here. Don’t start adventures without Wykkyds Framework. Package adds multiple UI options & the fantasmic Bazgrim’s Toolbar, which displays the current time, framerate, location, inventory space, gold & more. It’s all stuff you’d otherwise have to jump over to the Menu to see, & that kind of inconvenience leads to starving horsies 😛

2. Full Immersion
This add-on requires Wykkyds Framework, but has the opposite effect. Full Immersion adds options to remove UI elements. It’s great for taking screenies, or to role-play as a lost amnesia person who has no knowledge about surroundings.

3. Advanced Filters
Is one of those must-have inventory management mods. Simply, it just adds detailed filters to allow sorting items by category so making it very easy to find exactly what you’re looking for in the ocean of Items that always manages to fill up Active Adventurer’s Bags 😛 Why ESO doesn’t support these filters natively is mind boggling, but good that Advanced Filters was made 🙂

4. Dressing-Room
This is maybe the best gear/skill profile management addon available. Allows you to save 8x separate Gear & Skill set Profiles & toggle between them instantly with a single click, making it handy to switch builds on the fly. Whether you want to use it to swap between builds or just to change your appearance for roleplaying scenarios, this i recommend with no 2nd thought.

5. Advanced UI
This mod offers a great mini-map, action bar tweak that allows easily swap between your quickslots, customizable unit frames, combat stats & a fairly solid buff & debuff tracker.

Also: InventoryGridView, MyBuild, Srendarr 🙂

Some Addons don’t give any proggression advantages such as UI modifications. But others may aid in game, such as map add-ons or quest / task guides. They don’t influence balance but sometimes help in finishing quests / tasks & Char gets new lvl faster. It’s everyone’s choice whether to use such tools or not 🙂 I don’t use any that allow me to find things that give Skill Pts such as Skyshards or Lorebooks addon. I like to find them myself & make adventure more rewarding that way 🙂

The Elder Scrolls Online Developers have said that one of their Goals was to make an Expansive world where you could explore different areas finding interesting places & quests / tasks. That’s why the Mini-Map that was in early versions of the game was replaced with a Compass.

Why they chose to include the Compass was due to players paying too much attention to the Mini-Map & being out of touch with the beautiful World around them. Shame on them i say :/ Similarly this may happen if adventurers pay too much attention to using their Add-ons. Should Not allow them to steal the joy of Exploration 🙂 Y it’s silly that there are many Insta Teleport Waypoints, but don’t have to use them if no wanna & i don’t use them much 🙂 To see Advanced UI here’s my Combat with Argonian Hybrid Healer: http://plays.tv/s/L2cBsBYb7wey

Enjoy Gaming & Have a good rest of weekend & year 2016 🙂
Kind Regards: Mmo Gamer since 2004 & being Gamer who Dislikes Gameplay Simplifying no matter the Area. Whether it’s instanced or not in Mmo’s.

Admitting to being a WoW player isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of gaming taste. I would caution you against climbing too high on that horse of yours. Just depends on what you are looking for. You want story? TOR is the better option. You want raids? Warcraft is there for you.

That is a fact. No matter how hard I look, there’s NO MMO out there with better story than TOR. There simply isn’t. EVEN with my distaste for KotFE I cannot fault these guys for all the OTHER great stories there are in this game. Top notch. Nobody comes close.

Oh if i want quality story & Mmo at same time then i go for Elder Scrolls Online & also pretty good Story in beautiful Wildstar. Swtor has good story, but also occasionally not that great. Ofc Later part is natural to happen everywhere. No High Horsie here, but walking as prefer walking to polluting cars or horsies that might throw u out of the back & that hurts. Ty for suggestions & i know which content is where 🙂 Story not content, but anways know what meant heh. Take care enjoy gaming in whatever game that is 🙂 #RipGoodSwtorDevelopment

I also sub to WoW and you can argue this both ways. For 14 months, WoW had *zero* content. The smallest SWTOR chapter was more content than the largest MMO development staff in the world produced in 14 months

Yeah, but from what I’ve heard of WoW the expansion released a truckload of content to chew through. KotET will probably last till midnight if KotFE is anything to go on.

After finishing KotFE I remember sitting on Odessen thinking, “is that it?”.

I find it funny (as in odd) that Blizzard can release a run of the mill “patch” and it has more content that BW releases in an “expansion”.

That’s semantics. They both mean the same. “Patch”, “expansion”… KotET is patch 5.0.

But yeah, it’s a big difference.

You are so wrong about WoW that I assume you’re either trolling or are insanely clueless/uninformed….

You seem to think that adding new content is a simply, straight-forward process. It isn’t.

SWTOR has changed A LOT since release. From crafting to how Companions work, to adding starfighter combat, new storylines complete with voice acting, trade systems, new UIs, a rather HUGE amount of cosmetics for players, bases, events. Trust me, this is NOT the same game from release.

Problem is, anything new has to work with the core engine. And sometimes that can be a raw bitch to deal with. Add in that for even a short scene and scenerio, it could take thousands of manpower hours to create, refine and finish. This past year we got an entirely new storyline, that altered both regular and endgame content. We are getting another storyline soon.

Maybe SWTOR is not as fast as other companies, but other comapnies are either bigger (like Blizzard) or focused completely on the MMO (like the majority of the rest). Bioware is neither. They have their Mass Effect project and others coming. Last I heard, they only had one Dev on Warzones, and one or two on CM Items. This is a small team trying to keep this game going. Honestly, I don’t think they are doing a bad job.

You’re right about most of what you wrote. Most of it.

That last paragraph is where I start to raise my eyebrow.

You see, this is a STAR WARS MMO. I’m used to Star Wars being a gigantic, massive, overpowering thing. A Star Wars MMO should NOT be a timid, slow affair.

Furthermore, as you state there are companies out there that are doing a better job. This is not my opinion, this is a fact. I know it, and you know it too.

So for instance, let’s say you go out to buy a car. You buy a car by a small company that does this very cute car. One that has a design you love, but you have to wait 2 years for air conditioning. You want to take your whole family to dinner, but the car can only carry you and your wife. The electric windows don’t work…

See where I’m going with this? You would NEVER buy such a car. You would go to another company that maybe doesn’t have the nice aerodynamic design you love, but has a FULLY FUNCTIONING CAR.

So I look left and right, and see all these other companies that deliver the stuff I want.

And now comes the twist, the REAL REASON we bitch and moan about this game…

There is no other Star Wars MMO out there! And there never will be! We’re stuck to this, us Star Wars fanboys (and I say that with pride!!!), and no matter what we won’t have another product.

You like medieval MMO’s? Neverwinter, LOTOR, D&DO, TESO, RIFT, WoW… The list goes on and on.

You like Star Wars? Sorry pal, you have to play this one.

And until people start thinking and asking why we don’t deserve BETTER, MORE and FASTER we’ll be stuck here, discussing the sex of angels…

yep swg is and always be the superior star wars mmo tor is a step backwards and with tools buying a 150 cartel packs who can blame ea for focusing on that just hope tor dies if i want to play a star wars mmo theres always swgemu and the emus playable wookies free roam space housing with nieghbors/nieghborhoods no exhaustion zone either

Oh you won’t find me disagreeing with you. Bioware and EA majorly dropped the ball right out of the gate. And there really isn’t many options for players who want a sci-fi game. And thanks to this being a franchise, NO options for a Star Wars MMORPG.

When I focus my…disappointment…I try to remember where it needs to go. I don’t blame the one or two Devs stuck trying to do a job that should have an entire team behind it. I don’t blame Bioware for decisions that their owner EA makes.

And let’s also remember one major, overriding factor of every MMORPG ever: THEY NEVER WORK AS PLANNED ON LAUNCH. EVER. I get your car analogy, but now consider if every car ever made could only be bought as a barely driveable frame, with an extended timetable of new part releases. All of them. That’s a bit closer to what the reality of MMORPGs are really like. In recent years (say the last five. Yeah I’m old. Deal.), it has improved but not a single release has been bug free or badly balanced. It’s almost a countdown before the first server crash.

And yes again I agree that Star Wars is a kinetic affair. Fast moving, action packs and always rolling, even in the quiet scenes. But think also that SWTOR is based on KOTOR, which was about as slow a game as you could get. People LOVED the KOTOR games, but once the exact same style was transported into a MMORPG, suddenly everyone noticed just how slow KOTOR really was. And how that slow speed was compounded by the multiplayer atmosphere of a MMORPG, which are slow by nature.

But you did mention the one remaining major sin. TESO. The Elder Scrolls Online has one of the most disappointing releases since FFXIV. But instead of slowly patching it into something workable, they decided to majorly overhaul the game into one of the best on the market. And the aforementioned FFXIV even shut their game down in order to remake it into something grand. Honestly, SWTOR should do the same. Shut down for a while and rebuild the game into something more like…well…Star Wars.

But unlike the companies of the two games mentioned, Bioware simply does not have the money or manpower to do it. They are already committed to a Triple-A project (ME Andromeda), and they can barely keep the loose schedule they already have. They have an owner that doesn’t care that much and a weak overall MMORPG market to deal with. We can complain all we want, but if they simply cannot make this happen right now, it doesn’t matter.

And again, it is HARD AS FUCK to code a game, especially if it means changing or replacing an engine. It likely took months of work just to change how Companions worked, and they still needed patches for months afterward.

I wish we had an alternative. SWTOR has a lot of potential still. But I think if you really want that fast pace and style, you might need to go look at the Fantasy Flight Star Wars RPG books, and then get a group on Roll20.

Hells, I might even join you.

Yep… That about sums it up. Couldn’t have said it better myself. And in fact, I didn’t lol…

And I’m old too! Well, at least by gaming standards. 44, married and with 3 kids.

But it’s always nice to be able to have a discussion with someone and not go into toxic territory. THIS is the way to go. Thx!

43, married, one little girl who loves Barbies and Lightsabers. Saw Star Wars when I was 4, the first movie I can remember.

And yeah it is rather nice not to have to brow-beat someones ranting into a decent discussion for once. I love discussion and debate, but I try not to ever make it personal.

I think the downturn in the market started aroud the same time SWTOR was released. Far too many companies jumping on the bandwagon, too many “WoW Killer” stories and disappointments, and of course the downturn in the economy at the time. Then F2P models came out and the over-saturation of fantasy-style games.

Nowadays it’s MOBA-style gaming, team based MMOFPS and cross-platform ports that dominate the market (Overwatch, anyone?), with a sprinkling of survival game with a crafting element. The very idea of playing a massive online game that you may have to pay for monthly is absurd to many players, especially with role-playing. I feel your pain. I want something new. I thought Wildstar would be that but…it’s just not enough. I have been kinda hoping someone would make a good Wild West MMO, just for the change.

It would if Crew would Focus on creating proper Mmo Content & then turn the product to Sub model 😛 Ofc not that simple so yeah stick with Milking Market & Eaware to stay advertising it like no time to catch a breath.. Recolored..remade..Recolored..remade items & ppl drool & throw in the cash.. Oh well maybe some day.. Oh no sry as long as EA has their hands in SW Franchise “which is one of the biggest on this planet” there’s not much hope for Good SW Mmo..

After Star Wars Galaxies was ruined by SOE.. Those were the good times.. before it happened.. Only SW Mmo so far that actually gave u the feelz of being part of SW Universe 🙂 Hmm EA’s Swtor license ends in Jan 2017.. Ah nvm it doesn’t change anything to good direction as they won’t let the good cash cow slip away.. Even when it’s made with Outdated & Glitchy Game-Engine & partially having horrid animations & Gfx style..

Where Vaylin looks like angry Angst Teen & Char Creation is from -90’s.. Made to one of biggest Vid Game Franchises on Planet.. yaiks..Phew now break from this site.. *Rolls Eyes & Sips tasty Ginger Tea*

Take care enjoy gaming in whatever game that is 🙂 Not coming to reply whatever may come..hmm no.. =) *Waves & sincerely wishes nice gaming*

There’s a huge difference between making 3d models, textures and rigging it before shoving it ingame, versus level design, coding, animating and what not. You can’t just put people from one discipline onto the other. Because they’re all developers doesn’t mean they all can do the same thing. Why do people always think that? You’d then have to fire people and hire developers of a different discipline.

You can’t tell a botanist to do rocket science, or an astronomer to do an epidemiologist’s work, simply because they’re all technically scientists.

Right now they have some revenue atleast from the cartel market. That money goes to the game (or part of it does at the very least).

You Smedley, all these complaints look the same. The site is already filled with this stuff. You desperately need a new troll team. You ***need*** ***fresh*** ***whinnings***.

Well, complaints are fine, when they’re justified… Which doesn’t apply here, I think there’s some very cool stuff… But what do I know, I’m a “toxic hater”… 🙂

Hey, even WhiteKnights can respect knowledge. We all get toxic over similar things, reasons are different.

And true to you, complains are fine when justified.

K can we finally have some fucking Jedi & Republic, Sith & Empire packs?

It’s been 2 years and my stronghold is barely any closer to looking like an imperial bunker than it should.

Never it’s been Canceled Due to Lack of Coders to bring back CM a.k.a Milking Market.. Unknown Hacker just removed it completely so that Dev team can focus to bring some new Real Content that can actually be called as Content 🙂 Hacker left a message: For all you True Sw Mmo & Mmo Fans in General <3

Not sure how getting rid of the Cartel Market Team would affect the content developers, except depriving them of funding by removing a strong source of revenue for the game.

Perhaps.. perhaps.. Unless they would work for Good Mmo Content right away & Put it back to Sub model like they are semi doing with 5.0 changes. Going towards Semi Forced Sub is trololz move.. 😀 :/

Wish u nice gaming in whatever game that is 🙂

The Cartel Market isn’t the problem. It was NEVER the problem. The people that speak out against the CM are only perpetuating the biggest mistake BW does with this game: it’s all or nothing. We had story. It seems next year will be group content. Who knows, in 2 years some pvp… THAT’S the problem: they don’t want or can’t cater to the needs of their entire playerbase.

The end result is the same: until they can deliver a product that means something for everyone, there will be dissatisfied people.

That’s all we “haters” want: something for everyone. A little story, a little pvp, some raids, nice cosmetics, hell even some Galactic Starfighter stuff… Let’s stop attacking the CM…

Maybe they will innovate some 4 man raids or something… But the rng of GC kinda tells us that raids as we knew them are dead.

Would they ever release a progression raid that requires weeks of attempts and improvements to clear a new boss? Would we ever play it if it meant almost 0 GC progress?

I’ll sadly conclude that the new swtor will only rotate dev time to casual story and casual small group content. (CM will always be full time as that is the money maker)

But also I concur.. Don’t hate the CM… It keeps the game alive… Just hate the rest of Bioware piggybacking off of that team.

4 man raids are called Flashpoints, then Star Fortresses, and now Uprisings. Because changing their name is “new content”.

I normally dont agree with you Paulo, but I applaud you for this statement…”clap, clap, clap”(followed with a standing ovation).

If the millions that whales put into cartel market went into game development rather than just more cartel content then we’d cheer. It’s quite obvious that the other areas of the MMO themepark have been neglected. All the attention has been to the Cartel giftshop at the front entrance. Oh to hell with the metaphors I’m heading back to Nuka World in my X-01 armor. Good day!

I agree. But that’s a MANAGEMENT problem. Hey, I didn’t change my views overnight, I stopped subscribing and boycotted the CM roughly a year ago to this day because of that.

But as anyone will tell you, doing cosmetic stuff is the easiest part of an MMO. The few people they have doing this would not make a difference if they were put into developing raids. It would only shut down a part of the game that is working. As Ji’inx said above, it would remove a strong source of revenue for the game.

Where that revenue is going… That’s an altogether different issue. But that’s what I said in my comment anyways…

9 months after Valentines day. Might be a different time frame for non human species, not sure about how their biology works….

I Think we need MORE cartel stuff and MORE solo play content… actual fixing years old bug and give us actual end game content that isnt recycled and done to force use to play longer hard (RNG gearing bs i looking at you). I looking forward to see the mayhem 5.0 causes

2017 will be funny. Everybody played throgh KOTET twice and is bored… then many player will unsub… and Ben and Charles realize how stupid their binge watching idea was, because this is an mmo and not netflix. It would work on netflix either, if netflix hat one tv show in january and nothing else the whole year.

True That.. Oh wait.. Hmm Y it’s already planned that silly Eaware team at Swtor Focusing 70% on CM’s Recolored / Remade Items advertising & rest to create Singleplayer Content.. Oh and to Charge Monthly Sub for it.. Kinda like Great SE Doing with Hitman Series, but Hitman series Dlc’s are worth the price.. 🙂

I think we need LESS crybabies and LESS millennials… actual removal of the free to play option and giving Bioware money to create more content will force users to play long hard hours to enjoy the game instead of instant satisfaction causing players to quit (pre-RNG gearing bs I am looking at you). I am looking forward to playing and gearing up amongst all the mayhem 5.0 will bring due to server xfer!

There I put a random post through the forum’s newly added millennial translator and this is what it actually came out to say.

More money -> more profit for EA
They will not put money back into the game.
The game engine can explode beyond repair on every update.

and the funniest thing is that Fedaygin said ‘well said’ at one of the most inane and banal comments on here.
BWAHAHAHAHAA

Yeah, and BioWare making more content isn’t made up at all…
For how long are you playing this game, that you still believe in MMO-fairytales?

When have you heared the first time about EA? Last week?

Haha great 😀 Ofc Sad Fact about this pic is that True Sw Mmo Fans like me & many others who i’ve seen here are having this feelz ^^ Cause of Lazy & Half Blind Swtor’s Eaware Devs doing totally other things what would be beneficial for currently Half Mmo Swtor. “RipGoodSwtorDevelopment

Yeah, it’s pretty sad. I resubbed for one month just to sell off everything in my inventory that’s been sitting for a year and maybe play thru KotFE (stopped at Chapter 10 when I canceled sub) and KotET. Really don’t care about the story as I found it less interesting than my class story. Plus I could care less about this lame fan-fiction alternate galaxy family fued crap.

I was surprised how few ppl are in fleet and Odessen. My guild has basically been destroyed. Didn’t see more than 3 ppl on all weekend.

I might give a bunch of stuff away around Christmas and will then uninstall the game when 1 month of sub runs out…but will be sure to come here still to trigger the nutters like the goof I posted that pic for. Talking about “millennials” is the new “get off my lawn.”

Forcing f2p people to sub isnt going to work all thier doing is creating a smaller playerbase btw not a milennial or crying lol

Which in turn means even longer waiting times for WZ, GSF, FP and OPS, which will hurt subs even more since they’ll spend more time waiting in the game. Letting FTP play and have unlimited access to all those but with decreased rewards (like 50% of the reward a sub gets) would be a better options since it’d have more players in queues thus decreasing waiting times for subs. Since BW seems to have a phobia for cross server technology…

People just need to stop complaining about microtransaction items costing money.

Microtransactions were never meant for broke college students or teenagers who do not yet have an income, they’re aimed at people with a disposable income, with a daytime job who receive a salary at the end of the month and have money left over to do with as they want. Whether that’s buying games, a new pair of shoes, saving it up to go on vacation or paying for microtransactions is a personal choice. Harsh, but that’s how the system is designed.

READ: They’re aimed at ‘whales’. Suckers with too much money and too little sense willing to throw way too much money at cheap virtual goods for a game they most likely already pay a subscription fee to.

Ehm, you know how this game started? You know what happened in the beginning, and what stopped it? No? So I’ll tell you:

It started a a sub only game. It lost many subscriber quite fast. Emptier servers made the remaining player to also unsub. Free to play stopped this!

With all the subs in the beginning, BioWare did not produce enough new content to satisfy many players.

Removing F2P won’t work at all. Servers would become ghost cities, people would unsub.

I just thought about this, do we even know if these are dropping tomorrow? I know it’s early access tomorrow, but considering that’s when they add the update I figured that the cartel stuff would be there. Unless they really are gonna wait till Friday. Or whenever as it actually doesn’t specify when.

New Cartel Packs aren’t always listed on the Patch Notes, so the Oppressor Pack, as well as some of these direct sale items, could still go on sale tomorrow.

Everyone’s hyped about Sith Armor.
And I’m just sitting here waiting for the Relentless Insurgent.
