“I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.”

Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel Market (direct sale or packs) can no longer be moved across characters via Legacy Weapons.

The one good bug that was still left. And these mofos still haven’t addressed or even admitted the character preview window that’s been busted for over two damn years.

    • calamiti

      sure its a bad news

    • Anthony C Theiss

Like they should have made Weapon Tuning’s a Collectable item in the First place. Then they wouldn’t have had ppl trying to move them in legacy weapons.

  • CrumpetTrumpet

“Please stop attacking your Stronghold Decorations.”

But that’s no fun! At least DC Universe lets me attack my furniture 🙁

  • asdf

Just a BARRAGE of dicks in the ass

  • Sarigar

“Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel Market
(direct sale or packs) can no longer be moved across characters via
    Legacy Weapons.”

Wow… that is a relentless “fuck you” to everyone.

    • Teddybomber87

I think the problem is that this trick give you the crystals on your char without unlocking it with cartelcoins

      • AbnerDoon

Yes but they’ve known about it since legacy storage and weapons came into play. They even said it was not an exploit. But they want the money from tunings now as those are 600cc a pop to unlock.

        http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=6346255&postcount=381

      • Joshua Taylor

So whats next? Removing legacy weapons to force you to level each and every single toon you have? Im just dying to see how they try to force us to buy cartel coins next! We already are forced to subscribe to this utter train wreck. Next thing you know you will only be able to buy and sell cartel market armor with cartel coins only…….

        • Teddybomber87

its some kind of exploid what did you expect?

    • Darth Gnaw

I figured this was an oversight on their part to begin with. But theyve let it go on for so long that yeah its kind of a dick move

  • Rou’ku

“The fire mines left by Thrasher in Scum and Villainy can no longer be reflected.”

  • i’m done

    read patch notes in 5.3…..

    go and read these:
    http://dulfy.net/2017/07/07/swtor-class-change-feedback-5-3-5-4/

Look at these section the most:
    Arsenal/Gunnery needed survivability/utility nerfs, not DPS –
As we said in the balance thread, we want to get damage targets in line
first before we touch too much utility. They did get a slight nerf to
survivability in 5.3, and we will monitor both their damage and ability
    to stay alive going forward.

Corruption/Seer nerfs went too far and may also negatively impact DPS –
Admittedly those two Disciplines were substantially overperforming and
will receive the most significant nerfs in 5.3. But, we will watch their
performance closely and make changes if we’ve gone too far. The same is
true of the impact on “Sorc/Sage bubble” for DPS. We’ll change it or
give them other defensive options to compensate if needed.

Madness/Balance buffs are nice but they are still Force negative! –
Beyond the changes already listed, they are receiving a buff to their
Force regeneration to no longer be rotationally negative. We have
doubled the effect of Sith Efficacy / Psychic Barrier so that each
channel of Force Lightning / Telekinetic Throw will restore 8% of total
Force (minus the cost). To be clear, that’s a net of +3 per tick of
damage or +12 total Force per channel, not including the ongoing passive
Force regeneration that also occurs during the channel. We’ll change it or give them other defensive options to compensate if needed

And they dare to speak that they listen to players…..

I understand they will change it at 5.4.

    Ok chill.

    but wait:

We’ll change it or give them other defensive options to compensate if needed

and they changed it… for worst

    • Threjyan

      5.3 will be glorious.

Even this morning i came online, just before coming to work, to say a farewell to my fellow merc friends in the fleet.

  • Kaelin

–>Do not forget to unlock crystals and tunings for your favorite toons while you still can!<–

*Spoiler* A Stronghold Decoration has been added for players who have redeemed Arcann as a Companion. <– YAY!
A Weapon Tuning Slot has been added to Lord Kallig’s Lightsaber and Lord Kallig’s Double-Bladed Lightsaber.<– YAY!
The Dark-Attuned and Light-Attuned Weapon Tunings have been added to Collections.<– YAY!

    • Darth Ji’inx

Jedipedia’s database also lists a dark Arcann decoration. Not sure if that will make it ingame.

      • Noomi

        Only for Cartel Coins

      • Kaelin

Well, I saw people leaving that chapter with dark Arcann. For now patch notes are telling us about redeemed Arcann. I know my Arcann will play with Rancors on arena 🙂

  • j’oe

yeeee they took my suggestion on adding the tuning slots to lord kallig weapons o

    • j’oe

althought it kind of an overlooking on their side

  • Ben Gimson

“Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel Market (direct sale or packs) can no longer be moved across characters via Legacy Weapons.”

    Slippery cunts :’)

    • Przemysław Narbutt

this is very crappy thing. For me its an insult. Those things should not be changed. And imo all crystals should be craftable for tunings there should be more mix, vendors, quests etc. RIPPOFF

      • Ben Gimson

They’ve left it so long, and it’s such a minor boon for the players, that I’m inclined to agree that it is a tad insulting. Preview window- a pretty essential part of the game- is still broken, but this gets ‘fixed’ first.

BW have always been sneaky bastards though. Not surprised to find this little gem hidden in the notes.

  • Ahmet Yılmaz

Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel Market (direct sale or packs) can no longer be moved across characters via Legacy Weapons.

    Shit

    • Meelis S

Ouch. Thats the biggest d*ck move they did for sure. Glad i ditched this game. Unbelivable cash grab.

      • dfacts

Hello – it’s their property and they can make us pay for the frills we enjoy. It’s called good business.

        • Lol

No, it’s called bad business, because I and lots of other people got tired of being fucked up constantly and stopped paying for their shit.

        • Meelis S

Good business? Lol ok. If you call loosing subs and population overall good business.

  • Angry one

Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel Market
(direct sale or packs) can no longer be moved across characters via
    Legacy Weapons.

What the hell this means? It will bind legacy weapon to a character, making me unable to send it whole? I am sharing these weapons across many alts, ffs!

    And how about legacy offhands?

    • Disqus this

Its a cash grab to make you pay for unlocks. swtor is just that bad off and bioware is making this change because of that.

Send them to all your alts tonight to make sure you don’t have to worry about it but it will make sharing weapons a problem now even if you didn’t care for the unlock potential.

For me, I just wont use them anymore. I share the same lightsaber across 3-4 toons and it had a tuning in it but now I wont be able to. So the tunings are out and bw can go “F” themselves.

      • Angry one

I don’t care about fucking unlocks on tunings or crystals. I don’t need them on all alts or more instances of them. I just want to have one legacy weapon with my favorite tuning and my favorite crystal, one each, and transfer this one legacy weapon among all alts that can use it.

If tuning or crystal will prevent me from transfering it, I will put it out, and fall back to the purple ones. Transfer of the legacy stuff is more important for me then the bloody outfit or some crazy useless unlocks.

      • Joshua Taylor

Well you know they need to make sure they burn ALL the bridges. They don’t listen to their player base, insult us, ignore flashpoint/operation breaking bugs and are attempting to milk what little player base they have left before they pull the plug on an already dead game.

    • j’oe

no, they will probably be destroyable like dye modules

      • Darth Gnaw

yeah this sadly is the only solution that would make sense…

    • Nomad

I am guessing that you have to either, pull crystal and/or tuning out of legacy weapon, or it is done automatically upon transfer to alternate character.

    • Lol

If you put a tuning or one of those color crystals in a moddable weapon, you can no longer put the weapon in the legacy storage; you get an error message.

  • Jonathan Parker

Really fixed that legacy weapon exploit quickly. Almost makes us think that you’ve straight up ignored bugs that have been in the game since day one. My Scoundrel’s blaster still floats outside of her hand, my Guardian still can’t lower his fucking hood, where are the fixes and features that have been requested for over five fucking years?!

    • Joshua Taylor

So fucking true, they have crazy bugs that are literally game breaking and have been there for years but this, fucking this is the top of their priority list? Every single day I find more and more reasons why I stopped playing/ subbing to this train wreck of a game.

      • Jonathan Parker

I still sub and play, it’s still probably the best MMO I’ve played since Star Wars Galaxies, but I hate when I encounter such blatant problems that don’t take much thought to recognize and take into consideration. I honestly don’t know why some glitches, bugs, and player-requested features are completely ignored by the devs.

  • John Kosto

Wow, the Color Crystal and Tuning “fix” is just shameless….
It’s not like you could sell something, or that you could have multiple copies of those things, you could still use them only on one character at a time, and frankly, constantly moving these back and forth would be exhausting, kudos to the people that would do that, they deserve to have their tuning and their favorite crystal color on their toons as they please.

    “Give us your money people.”

And then the White Knights wonder why Bioware gets so much crap by its customers.

    • Darth Gnaw

well, no, thats not completely true. If you unlock a tuning or crystal on your main and send it in a legacy item to the alt, the alt can then remove the tuning and when it hits their inventory it becomes unlocked in collections for that alt and they can grab multiple copies of it.

      • John Kosto

True, didn’t think of that part, but it still applies for Color Crystals, and quite frankly, if you buy a tuning, you should be able to use it on all characters.

    • Havik79

Am I missing something, I don’t understand why there is a problem, I thought weapon tunings could be unlocked in collections for all toons.

      • Kaelin

You can unlock them for free (-few creds). Not anymore with 5.3

        • Havik79

Of course, should have known it was not a real problem just cheapskate cry babies.

  • Alexander Delorean

Beggars now gotta cry about legacy crystals and tuning fixes….whole chat about their tears

  • Darth Ji’inx

“Customizable Companions – Lana Beniko and Koth Vortena: Your trusty allies can now take full advantage of the galaxy’s many fashionable items!”

    Jedipedia’s database lists:

    -“Lana Beniko’s” set (6 pieces w/o helm)
-Displays icons from “Dark Advisor” CM set

    -“Lana’s Traditional Armor Customization”
-Probably a skin that includes Lana’s KotFE armor to cover her new armor (Dark Advisor)

    -“Koth’s” set (6 pieces w/o helm)
-Displays icons from “Exiled Revolutionary” CM set

    -“Koth’s Traditional Armor Customization”
-Probably a skin that includes Koth’s KotFE armor to cover her new armor (Exiled Revolutionary)

    • Darth Twinge

im pretty sure when we log in tomorrow there will be about 50 Lanas on fleet wearing dancer outfits anyways 😛

      • Darth Ji’inx

        Such a low number… 😉

        • Donald’s ignored Conscience

Well 50 is a decent count given the current population of SWTOR. Now had this been possible when SOR first came out…………….. >:-p

          • Threjyan

            ur to positive! xD

      • men…

        sigh!

      • Kaelin

I want to see Arcann wearing slave girl outfit

    • Darth Gnaw

At last I shall finally know if Lana has a mechanical hand or is wearing a vambrace

      • Darth Ji’inx

I’ve been wondering about that since KotFE.
Based on a datamined model, she just has a basic, unmodified Body Type 2 base w/ purple(?) underwear.

        • Darth Gnaw

So lana shops at Victorias Secret?
Come to think of it, they gave Shae Vizla a dark red undergarment. Wonder what the point of it is…

    • gua543

It looks like Bioware, in their endless wisdom, decided to scrap Lana’s KotFE look (for a worse one IMO). The customization covers her gear AND her look. If you want to have her wear something different, you’ll have to remove the customization. The same thing with Koth.

      • Darth Ji’inx

I’m assuming that the issue was that Lana and Koth’s gear was part of their character model. Unlike Theron and Shae, who always had a unique head on a standard “naked” base body, Lana and Koth’s gear would have to be stripped from their bases and remade into actual items. It was probably more feasible just to start with blank bases and create a similar head and use similar looking CM gear, as well as throwing in a customization to retain access to the original looks.

In regards to Lana, I think her new head is an improvement over her SoR look. No more crooked nose, super blobby eyelashes, or lack of shading and texture on her face and hair. Furthermore, her new hairstyle looks like a shaggier version of her KotFE hairstyle, which strengthens the connection between her two looks. She also has paler skin like she originally had in SoR. Ultimately, I think it’s jarring because not only does it look different/worse than her KotFE look, but it also resembles her unsettling, sickly appearance from SoR. I think it’s going to take some getting used to, but it will eventually look good, especially when compared to SoR Lana.

I just hope that when they get to Senya, they’ll give us the original KotFE (younger) look as a customization…

        • Darth Twinge

I like her new face also. I thought it a nice hybrid of the other two faces. I put her in Sith Recluse armor. It looks a lot better on her than it does on me. 😛

          • Darth Ji’inx

Her new face is growing on me. It was just jarring initially since she’s looked healthier (skin tone) for several years now.

Even though she’s Body Type 2, she still looks scrawny for some reason. Have you noticed that?

            • Darth Twinge

I did notice that. I was trying to decide if she was really thinner or if the story outfit was just bulky.
Perhaps when the KOTFE model was made, they just eyeballed the proportions and didn’t use an old character as a base? Its hard to tell for sure since the story outfit doesn’t truly come off.

              • Darth Ji’inx

I meant the base body that goes with the new head, not the KotFE look/customization.

I’ve checked Jedipedia’s database, which lists the models of SoR, KotFE, and customizable Lana as “bfn,” which is female Body Type 2. All versions of her, including the new one are Body Type 2, yet the customizable version still looks thinner. Maybe it’s the clothes or head/hair model?

              • Darth Twinge

Yeah, it must just be an optical illusion caused by her head/hair. I’m body type2 as well and standing next to each other naked, it seems right. But there is one cosmetic oddity: Her shorts are cut further down the leg than player or other companion females. If I take Vettes pants off for example, her shorts are the same cut as mine. Not sure why they bothered with this…

Like they should have made Weapon Tuning’s a Collectable item in the
First place. Then they wouldn’t have had ppl trying to move them in
legacy weapons. And when are they coming out with a new species like Nautolans for instance.

    • Donald’s ignored Conscience

That would involve giving the SWTOR customer value for money and we all know how Bioware feels about that these last 2 years.

  • Kubrickian

    Let’s go nurfin’ now
    Everybody’s learning how
Come on and swtori with me ……..

  • Donald’s ignored Conscience

“Lana Beniko and Koth Vortena can now have their visual appearance customized.”

Is the SWTOR team that small (or inept/lazy) that they can only work on two companions at any one time per patch? Damn!!

  • Need2Crash

Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel Market
(direct sale or packs) can no longer be moved across characters via
    Legacy Weapons.

eww i can understand this for tunings but color crystals too…

    • Threjyan

crystals get the same treatment. – they managed to fix 2 things with one go – but i do agree a diferent aprouch should have been done to legacy weapons and extracting crystals. its to much of an hassle

  • Revan E Noyes
  • Jude

I’ve been unsubbed to this game for a while now. Every now and a again, though, I get the urge to come back. But then I check Dulfy to see what they’ve fucked up recently, and boy howdy, they’ve really outdone themselves this time.

Nerfs to Seer healing? I loved playing my Seer healer since the beginning of this game, but man, my poor little healer has never had so many dicks up her ass all at once.

Nerfs to Commando DPS? YAY, my favorite DPS class, which I played LONG before it was FotW, through the good times and the bad. My toon was a large black toon who I always said had a BBC, but it is he who is getting the BBC up the ass now.

Can no longer trade color crystals between toons via legacy weapons?!? FFS, BW, now you’re just being assholes.

So thank you, Dulfy, for reminding me why I ditched this game in the first place. I love Star Wars, and I badly want to play a SW MMO/RPG. But not this one.

    • Kaelin

Yet another sobbing story of a person who left that game but have to check updates and whine about them from time to time

    • Markus

I have to agree about the color crystals. It seems a high number of cartel coins to unlock a crystal because you want change colors on a weapon.

    • Threjyan

you have no idea of the changes, and why they were changed – check the official forums for the meta they proposed.
you need 1st to inform why they happened (mercs htting for 30k and 40k on HSM in wz, for example, is a welcome change / and sorcs being overpowered), and dont make those claims.
on the crystals i do understand why they did it, but they should have come with a system in which you payed for the unlock of crystals be able to use them reguardless of being a legacy weapon. its to much of a hassle to extract crystals between alts/factions.

    • abaddonsmummy

You’re quite entitled to your view, forums are great for that, but if the game is losing a racist bigot like you i’m sure we’ll survive just fine thanks.

  • Zasz

“Character bound Color Crystals and Weapon Tunings from the Cartel

That sucks. Good thing I moved lots of them before this patch.

WTF?!?! Is running naked around the galaxy a crime now?!

      My Tanno doesn’t approve.

      • 平賀才人

I can only imagine him getting arrested by cops entering from who knows where while he’s taking his clothes off to enter a spa, take a shower or even visiting a beach or resort in some tropical planet like Rishi lol.

    • Whitedragon

never seen him naked in any cut scene…

      • 平賀才人

Me either lol that’s what I found most funny and surprising about this line.

  • Wayshuba

Here is why this is sad. This is a typical 0.x update for SWTOR. Which is really not much.

For comparison, here is the upcoming 0.x update from ESO:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/358541/

Now this is not to pump up ESO, it is just one point of comparison of how little SWTOR is delivering versus other mainstream MMOs. I could do the same thing for FFXIV, WoW or others.

    • Danny Seth

Yeah, but we like Star Wars, we don’t care about some old scrolls, so… 🙂

    • Whitedragon

STO is doing the same thing as Swtor for some reason. “nickel and dime us to death”

    • abaddonsmummy

“Sharpened trait nerfed by nearly a half, still no token system, what
about all these people who farmed like crazy their sharpened weapons
ZOS? Why are you spit on your players once again? I’m done.”

“Why are you nerfing sets like Ilambris which are purely PvE and NOBODY
complained about them? It’s not a PvP set! Why (again!) PvE playerbase
is getting nerfed because of PvP?”

“Making HUGE changes to traits and not giving for
people ability to change them (specially on BiS BoP gear) is
      scandalous”

You see man I read down to the comments and encountered many of these.
You can produce as much content as you want it doesn’t mean it’s of any quality and going to keep the player base happy.
This update does look comprehensive and some players will love it but just like Swtor people are going to hate it.
      Just sayin 🙂

      • Wayshuba

I agree on the changes, but honestly that comes with every single MMO. So if you play MMOs regularly you are used to “the sky is falling comments” with nerfs and changes.

I was more pointing out the content cadence. There is a lot of content just in that patch while SWTOR continues to give little drips which are doing nothing to stave off the on-going population decline.

        • Abaddonsneglectedreality

Which Abaddonsmummy will conveniently ignore to supplement his piss weak argument that SWTOR is delivering meaningful content and that we should all be thankful and proud of what Biofail are delivering regardless of how little and woeful it is.

See in his mind, he ignores how little the content actually is compared to other mmo’s (Or even pre 4.0 SWTOR) because it would prove how little the SWTOR team have been delivering for some time. Hell, look how long it takes them to patch bugs/issues or do class balancing. Laughably, even exploits now take them quite some time to fix as the latest crystals/tunings fix proved which was motivated by sheer greed yet still took ages.

Keith will not change this either. He talks a big game, likes to window dress the busted up mannequin called SWTOR, perhaps straighten the wig on it’s head, pat the dust off the ragged clothes it wears and call it new. Yet, It is still the same dev team who only cares about doing as little as possible while gouging peeps with the Cartel Market rather then taking the money earned from it and subs and putting it back into the game with full glorious expansions and content like we used to once get with SWTOR. Sure, EA have their claws in, but Bioware Austin have become lazy and useless, hence it takes so long to do anything if ever for them (except reskinning existing items and calling it new of course).

But I digress. Just look at this master piece of a fanboi comment by Abaddonsmummy earlier :

“So…..they introduce a new ops boss – massive for the end game players”

ONE SINGLE NEW BOSS OF AN UNCOMPLETED OP now qualifies to Abaddonsmummy as “MASSIVE”????? Meanwhile no other mmo out there is delivering bits and pieces of an op like SWTOR does while taking sub fee’s. Nope, other mmo’s are delivering COMPLETED Ops to match the money their customers put into the game. Abaddonsmummy has to constantly change the goal posts to align with how Bioware each year produce less and less but call it more and more to validate his arguments.

The insult in all this is not the outright ignorance, nor fanboi blinkers Abaddonsmummy (and one or two others here) wears with pride in defending Bioware/SWTOR. No, the greater insult is that the pittance of content coming out, crumbs really compared to other mmo’s out there (regardless of how well received it is or not as per Abaddonsmummy’s awful argument), is what Biofail (and their cheerleader Abaddonsmummy) expect us all to accept and be happy with despite expecting people to pay a subscription for it. We have been slowly fed a meal that each year keeps getting smaller and smaller but being told is exciting and bigger and better. Only fanboi’s can look at the road map for 2017 and think that is true. The rest of us live in reality Abaddonsmummy and see the bullshit BW Austin are trying to shovel on to us with every passing year SWTOR is dragged out.

You are more then entitled to two things Abaddonsmummy:

          1) Your opinion naturally
          2) But you are also entitled to be just plain wrong when your opinion is bereft of reality. 🙂

      • HMHero

So because people complain everywhere you cant see his point that eso’s update is bigger? You love to present these apples and oranges debates c’mon man, you present yourself as a smarter person than that.

  • abaddonsmummy

So…..they introduce a new ops boss – massive for the end game players
The introduce a new Stronghold – been demanded for a while now from the community.
Numerous bug fixes – always good for the player base to see.
Numerous nerfs and buffs for classes – mainly pvp driven and will always be contentious but shows they are actively looking at player stats.
And what are we focusing on here?
Not being able to move crystals and tunings via legacy.
Look i’m not going to lie is a dick move, but game changing? No.
I’m always moving gear from alt to alt because of the crazy amount of cxp boxes i’m getting (just fully geared a commando and guardian in a day in full 242 set bonus rest 246 wit all the gear I’ve been saving), but in all the thousand of times I’ve done this I’ve never once moved a crystal or tuning.
Yes it’s a cash grab, but you can unlock any crystal or tuning now for just over a pound and use it as many times as you want on as many alts as you want hardly seems like a game changer.
    This community……*sigh*

    • Danny Seth

Sadly, the vocal part of the community only focuses on the negative aspects and will never be pleased, because there will always be something to complain about.
Those tunings are worthless imo, the small cosmetic animation doesn’t change anything in your gameplay… only in your eyes, if you don’t forget you have a tuning, that is, then nobody sees it.

But if they are so important to some players, maybe the devs should take note and make them more affordable to people. Give some as rewards in events, sell some from vendors, stuff like that. I’m sure more than 2 thirds of the players don’t even own a tuning.

      • Rompe Himself

I remember BW saying that we would be able to obtain tunings in game (But never said when or how or what type) when they were first announced, not just via the Cartel Market. As per Dan Bunten’s post dated 04/21/2016 (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8907942#post8907942):

“Are they exclusive to the Cartel Market?

The Lightning Weapon Tuning is exclusive to the Cartel Market, but there may be future Tunings available from other sources.”

And we all know what “May be” means now don’t we? BW hardly ever put in-game earned gear anymore into SWTOR. Cartel Market or go home bitches!! 😛

    • Whitedragon

everything you said here is correct, but to waste dev time on crystal’s and tuning when they could be working on other things seems silly. “just sayin”

    • guest

The problem is not that we can’t dupe crystals.

The problem is that now you effectively can’t use cartel crystals or tunings in your legacy weapons, and anyone with more than a few toons most likely uses exclusively legacy weapons so they can share gear.

The big mistake was not pairing this change with the introduction of weapons to the outfit designer. Cartel crystals/tunings are now pretty much worthless to a large chunk of the playerbase.

      • abaddonsmummy

I’ves swapped hundreds of pieces of gear over the years to my alts with legacy gear and have never ever swapped a crystal or tuning.
You get free crystals when you start a new toon and most are ridiculously cheap anyway.
The only thing that matters is that it doesn’t effect normal gear transfers.

        • Leah

two things here. 1 those free crystals that you get? you only get becasue you were a subscriber during a specific time window couple of years ago. everyone else – doesn’t get those crystals.

          2. until 5.4 whenever that may be? even people who have those crystals unlocked for account with cartel coins? cannot move weapons between characters. why is that a problem? because they now need to remove a crystal BEFORE they can transfer a weapon. essentially, if you play alts of the same/mirror class spec (essentially using single minmaxed set of armor for more then one character, something that they not only have approved of, but encouraged)? you now have to switch to crafted crystals or be unable to move gear back and forth between your alts.

yes, they are fairly cheap. but it is an inconvenience. an annoying one. especially is say the cartel crystal you are using is one of the extra rare variety. and speaking of those.

white crystals, you know the ones that were originally available on a vendor before being removed, only to reemerge in cartel packs. people who bought theirs off the vendor before they were changed and could transfer them the way you can with crafted crystals right now? had their NON CARTEL crystals converted INTO cartel versions. and are now essentially forced to unlock them in collections if they want to use them on more then one toon. well… after 5.4. this may not seem like a problem to you, but it doesn’t make it a non issue.

      • Calur

Why? Can’t you unlock them legacy wide and just get them whenever you want? Not to mention I still have a cargo hold bay full of the old crystals that I can swap around. I would find it very odd for someone to have a lot of alts and not have one of the crystals unlocked on their legacy.

  • Ahmet Yılmaz

  • Bounty

me personally im proper peve’d that some classes are get nerfed you work hard in getting your sets then pay good money to sub and again it just benifits the cry babys in warzone who probably cant even play the class or use there brains i hit hard as a BH but thats cuz i use my rotations correctly and have worked hard to achive the results ive got …. and then the nerf effects the rest of the game like in ops your healers aint gonna be able keep up the pace extra cost and lower heals …. its hard enough to get good healers and this is gonna not make u wanna play as a healer as the blame gets put on to the tank and healer the rest im not to bothered about unlock the crystles etc in collections and u got them permanantly nyways for any alt but making somthing to unlock things would be a good idea but that would prob cost alot

  • zolltarif

The PvP balancing is all good. I dont mind about Crystals and some “Bling Bling” in my Weapon. But i mind when a Merc can shot me down with extreme burst. Of course it needs more than that and hopefully the nerv will go on while other classes still needs a buff. We will see in the next months.
But, if they go on with the balancing i see many players coming back to the game. The PVP of this game is still one of the best, may even the best of all MMOs out there.

  • Whitedragon
  • Whitedragon

minimum effort maximum profits….. that’s how we please EA.

  • Zasz

Well, I finished distributing the lightning tuning across my chars before the patch. All by using legacy weapons. Guess I have to unlock the dark/light tunings the old fashion way for all chars.

  • The Great Scott

As usual, no details on patch size from the stupid installer. Having just got it done I can tell you it is a 5.72gb download from the most current patch prior.

    • Van’zan

Just got done and it was 204mb across three files.

      • The Great Scott

I’m geniunely intersted in this, as I set my router’s counter to 0 before starting the download, and that was my recording D/L….and no nothing else active….I’ve had similar reports of varying patch sizes before…

        • Darth Twinge

Whenever theres a new patch I get an error after it downloads that says it needs to repair so then it downloads the repair files and then it redownloads the new patch. So it makes it seem like a much bigger download.

This happened the last three major updates. I have no idea why. But it might be why there are differences in how big it was for people…

    • Yallida

      5,7 gb…? Nope.. Little above 200mb.. 5 mins and patching is done…

  • Vincent van der Laan

GG sorc,s for your ruined that class for 100 %

    • zolltarif

No its not. Stop whining. Sorc were WAY overperforming. The balancing IS correct.

      • sure they needed to tone down the sorc heals and BRING UP THE DPS!!… they nerf-hammered the heals and gave a crumb to dps half of which won’t even count if you have another sorc or a hatred assassin in your group lol. cause they didn’t fix the death field stacks before buffing them. or at least there was no indication of said fix.

      • 鄧天星

        Clearly you have no clue.

    • Meelis S

I thought they are near extinct by now.

  • Matt

Wow, now i realize that being preferred i can’t afford Manaan stronghold because 350k limit credit. LOL

    • Leah

they want you to spend cartel coins. its an odd little stronghold anyways. looks beautiful… until you realize how small it is, how many visible areas are actualy completely unaccesible and how weirdly the hooks are placed

      • Calur

It’s lazy design. They pretty much re-purposed already existing maps. At least the other strongholds were largely unique maps.

        • Leah

pretty much. though I would say at least downstairs was somewhat unique, unless i missed it somewhere? I don’t remember rooms like that from a flashpoint OR HK chapter. then again, I haven’t actualy ran those recently, so who knows…

  • John Doe

    Operative

Concealment Operatives will no longer appear to be in-combat / holding their weapon when they log into the game.

It only took them over a YEAR to fix this. Good shit EAware !

  • Dr. Mike Wendell

We have someone going on at length in Manaan chat saying a number of the status hooks have been resized. Never really paid much attention to hook sizes but wanted to throw that out.

So anyone else not getting companion points for crew skill missions anymore?

    • Guest

I didnt either. Guess its jus a glich the’ll fix in the 5.4 update…

    • Dr. Mike Wendell

They fixed it in 5.3a which we got Thursday morning. Still haven’t checked though.

  • CrumpetTrumpet

After all this time, I thought I could finally reclaim Vette. Yet despite the option being there, choosing it did nothing. Vette was still in my dead list. Choosing it again left her dead and then removed the option from me completely. So I’m back to having to use the chapter work-around to keep her.

On the other hand, I not only got to recruit Quinn but I got Elara as well. Even though the popup said she would be unavailable yet known, when I chose to retrieve her and then returned her, she became a usable companion. I can’t right-click speak to her like a normal companion, though.

And now the option to reclaim KotET companions has once again been grayed out. But hey, at least the best fix made to the alliance base is that Oggurobb is no longer bitching about Broonmark!

Oh, really? Now the next to last door gets locked for no reason instead of the last one. Now it’s undoable.
