DevNotes: The changes made to Medicine / Sawbones bring the discipline to the target HPS while relatively improving its burst-healing capabilities. Overall, the majority of the healing reduction was aimed at the Operative’s / Scoundrel’s heal-over-time abilities, which are usually more prone to over-heal.

The changes to Kolto Infusion / Kolto Pack and Curative Agent / Sly Surrender give the Operative / Scoundrel a quick, bursty heal in their baseline toolkit, while still allowing players who prefer a more proactive HoT-based playstyle to preserve that gameplay by taking the Curative Agent / Sly Surrender utility. On the whole, Medicine Operative / Sawbones Scoundrel HPS has been brought in line with that of Corruption Sorcerers / Seer Sages, but its baseline ability to burst heal is comparatively better than it was before these changes.

My only wish is that God somehow nerfs all the Doctors and Nurses in the greater Austin area in RL, so if these Bioware goons and their families get sick, they will get below average treatment. Maybe then they will understand how bad they are at their jobs….

So.. nerf Sorc/ Sage that ONLY has burst and is supposed to be the burst heal spec. And make Scound the new burst spec.. that still has HoTs. Anyone else notice the devs are getting a hard on for the non-force using classes?

Just fyi, this buff to Infusion can already be achieved by just picking a utility. And even with that utility, Operative’s burst healing lags behind that of the other two healers by a fair margin. So considering the surge nerfs of all Operative’s non HoT single target heals, Operative’s are actually going to be less bursty than they are now.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess I’m still salty about how much they’ve killed my Sage heals. I agree that we needed a reduction for PvP.. but they KILLED my PvE ability in Nim. I could put out a steady 18-19k HPS, now I’m lucky to hit 12-13 sustained.

I am a little horrified by these changes. Why are they trying to make Operatives into burst healers? They always have been and should be sustained healers with their HoT. You are supposed to heal in pairs, and you have your Sorc/Merc to take care of the tank and burst healing, while your Operative rolls around the fight keeping the rest of the raid alive. That’s what I loved best about Operative. The Sorc/Merc would sit still in the middle of the room pouring out those big heals and topping people off, and I would run around making sure the whole raid as a whole is in a healthy place. Operatives are more pro-active healers and the other two are more reactive healers. I don’t mind if my HoTs are overhealing.

So Bioware is nerfing ALL healers to the ground because they were overperforming in ops? How were they supposed no to?

Sorc has ALWAYS been about burst healing single target and providing moderate damage mitigation by barrier. 5.x nerfs weren’t that bad because players who were good with Sorcs stayed good, only normies cried about Sorcs being useless since that class no longer is a nobrainer. Sorc was never about AOE heals, that role belonged to Oper and Mercs. Now they try to make Opers single target burst healers leaving Mercs as only viable AOE healers in game. Goodbye SorcxOper combos for NiMs, now it’s all about single target heals and a little coverage provided by Mercs. They nerfed fucking MM Snipers because they thought that spec was overperforming in FUCKING PVP. How ignorant they have to be to state that PvP nerfs won’t affect PvE.
I am not saying healing classes aren’t playable, since this game has been af for like few years already. I am saying BioWallet does their best to make playing certain roles and classes as little enjoyable as possible.
