  • Sozinho

That’s a lot of some old good items.

    • Darth Ji’inx

Direct buys of the good ol’ Shipment 1 & 2 armors and weapons people love so much. 🙂

      • Sozinho

        Indeed! 👍🏻

  • Darth_Lolz

    Look everybody new content…. lol

  • Haggard

Honestly… I didn’t like this new layout so much.

    • Darth Ji’inx

It’s definitely going to take some getting used to, same thing for the new inventory design.

      • Ben Gimson

CM I can live with but the inventory change I hate :S

  • Kaelin

Is it just me or no Shadow Disciple’s Armor Set again? 🙂

    • Darth Ji’inx

You’re right, it’s still not out. They released “Seasoned Professional” instead. You can at least preview the Shadow Disciple set.

  • Risqu’e

Thats a really huge update! :O

    ….to the cartel market 🙁

  • Syok

If they’d only give to the game half of love they give to Cartel Market, it’d be great. Maybe swap teams? Make CM team care about the PvE and PvP for some time, as it seems CM team is the only team in Biowallet that gives a fuck.

  • SW:TCM

Such a big update to the CM. It’s only going to add fuel to the fire burning in all those people who hate the fact it seems to get more respect from the devs than actual mmo content.
A few interesting additions to me were the Cathar Honor Sword, Grand Chance Cubes (not surprising) and the Temple Guardian armor set.

  • Seph

So many items. No new content. This seems desperate. Trying to drain all the cc’s from players they can without any new content available, before too many people leave the game.

    • Darth Ji’inx

Or, maybe they’ve noticed that direct selling old desirable Pack items is a popular choice… 😉

      • Seph

Oh it’s popular for sure. People love the space Barbie.

      • Rob

Just because it’s popular doesn’t make it right, didn’t your parents teach you that?

This is the end plain and simple. BW do not actually have to do anything of note to make money this way, you can see that right? Why would they bother making new and exciting content that takes time, effort, imagination and resources when they click a few buttons and people sink their money in Digital Dress up?

I have nothing against the people who want to spend their money this way, it is your prerogative to spend yours or your parents money how you wish. However to defend these actions from a gaming perspective is naive bordering on delusional.

SWTOR will continue to exist obviously but no longer in the game format. Basically a place for a gathering of cosplay enthusiasts that do not want to make the effort of doing that in the real world 🙁

        • Darth Ji’inx

I never said popular = right. People that are dissatisfied with the RNG of the Packs have been asking for more direct sale options of Pack items. Not only have they done this to a limited extent, but they’ve done it with popular Pack items that were embargoed long ago.

You could read into this multiple ways. It could be about squeezing out the last amount of money for a declining game, as you believe, or it could mean that Keith is continuing to implement more changes based on player feedback. It could even be a combination of the two, or another reason entirely. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the end.

          • Rob

Wait so BioWare give you crap items in the crates when you actually do the grind and then put the better items on the CM for an additional fee and people are ok with this? Please clarify this as that is the most scandalous thing I’ve ever heard.

            • Darth Ji’inx

              (1) Normally, you get Pack items by opening Packs (RNG). A lot of people don’t like paying real money for only a chance at the item(s) they want. For this reason, they’ve been asking BW to give them the option to directly buy the desired item(s) from the CM.
              (2) Also, many items from the first two Shipments of Packs are highly sought after, even though those Packs were embargoed years ago.
              (3) BW has finally decided to give us the option of directly buying these rare, popular items from the CM, which is what many have been asking for.

  • Rob

So it’s finally happened, they are starting to lay it out catalogue style for the Space Barbies. I guess we can say goodbye to even the possibility of a decent stream of new content, as once this catches on it’s Game, Set and Match to the Cartel Market.

I honestly didn’t think it would come to this, despite by anger at BW for the way they’ve decimated this game I honestly deep down still believed that actual gameplay still meant something to them, they’re always telling us so. This proves otherwise 🙁

  • Paulo Gomes

Oh, the Bowcaster… Every single one of my Treeks got that as a present…

  • pokedigijedi

I was able to get both the Tythonian lightsaber and the Cathar Honor Sword from this sale today, so that was good 🙂

Still waiting for Revan’s original armor set to become available however

  • Eh

    BioWare nowadays:

“Oh, our income just went down by 20%, seems like those ugly retards stopped buying packs from CM, why not selling seperate items for x times more dear than the price of single pack, so we can eat hamburgers and laugh out our fat bellies”

  • Bea

So many items! Dulfy senpai, any idea if all those direct sale CM items are going to stay there for longer, or is it just this week?

  • CrumpetTrumpet

Strange, there’s no heads up either here or on the game site that they’re now direct selling Primeval Stalker.
