SWTOR Game Update 5.6 Patch Notes

SWTOR Game Update 5.6 Patch Notes.

Highlights

  • New Flashpoint: The traitor Theron Shan has found asylum on the Chiss world of Copero. Lead a covert strike to uncover his deadly plans – before it’s too late!
  • New Operation Boss Fight: Nahut, The Son of Shadow – Be wary, Nahut is a master of stealth combat and a superweapon capable of galactic destruction.
  • New Galactic Starfighter Map – Wage war in a 12v12 deathmatch in orbit above the planet Iokath.
  • The Activities Window – The Group Finder interface has seen a huge overhaul! This includes repeatable rewards, bonuses for roles in need, along with unifying the group, Warzone, Galactic Star Fighter, and solo content into a single window.
  • The Master’s Datacron – Available for 2,000 Cartel Coins on the Cartel Market. This item will allow you to take any existing character and make them a level 70 character! The Datacron also includes a full set of level 70 gear so you can jump right into the action. This boost does not advance any story progress.

General

  • Due to the amount of changes being made to Group Finder, many group Missions will have their progress reset.
  • The Group Finder has been renamed to the Activities Window. It has received numerous updates:
    • Repeatable Rewards: For each PvE group activity, there is a repeatable reward when queuing for all available content. This reward is available after claiming the daily bonus for that category.
    • Role-In-Need: Certain group-enforced content will now give bonuses to roles in need. The goal is to provide that extra incentive to help bring groups together quicker. EX: There is a lack of healers in the Activities Window queue for Master Mode Flashpoints, so we will offer an extra bonus to any healers who queue for that activity.
    • Daily Rewards: For each PvE group activity there is a significant bonus to experience, credits, command experience and unassembled components. To be eligible for this reward you must queue for all available content.
    • Solo Window: All Heroics, Daily Areas, Events (When Eligible) and flashpoints can be easily queued from the new solo window.
    • Lockouts: We’ve redesigned the Operation lockout window to be more informative while cleaning up un-necessary duplication of data.
  • Characters across the galaxy now have an appropriate amount of sparkle in their eyes.
  • Solo activities such as Heroic Missions, Solo Flashpoints, and the Eternal Championship have been added to the Activities window. They will populate based on your character level.
  • Queuing for Ranked and Unranked Warzones will now happen via the Activities window.
  • The Galactic Command interface has been removed from the game. All queuing will happen via the Activities window or the Chapter launcher.
  • The rewards for completing content via the Activities window have been increased.
  • Corrected various issues related to searching in the Cartel Market.
  • Defeating Nahut has been added to the Gods from the Machine Objective for Conquests.
  • A new option has been added to the Preferences window, under User Interface > Cartel Market called Use Pack Viewer. This option is on by default. If the player turns it off, when a Cartel Market Pack is opened the items will be placed directly in your Item Stash without the pack viewer animation being played.

  • The Ground Pound from the Vixian Mauler in Crisis on Umbara now has a description if a player mouses over the debuff.

  • Torpedo tooltips no longer incorrectly state that they are immune to missile breaks.
  • EMP Missile now does 50% damage to player ships as intended (down from 100%)

  • EMP Field now has a cooldown of 45 seconds (up from 40 seconds)

Items + Economy

  • When adding an Augment slot to an item, the Augment Kit dropdown box will now sort by whichever kit the player has the highest quantity of.
  • Command Boosts that drop from Command Crates no longer have a restriction on what Command Ranks they apply to.
  • Items that are linked in chat will now show their rarity alongside their name.
  • Decorations have been added to the Mission reward for Solo-mode Flashpoints.
  • Two tiers of new augments have been added to the game:
    • Item rating 230 Artifact quality – Drop inside of the Copero Flashpoint.
    • Item rating 236 Legendary quality – These are crafted, schematics can be learned by the respective Crew Skill trainer.
  • Improved Disintegration – Disintegrating any item that contains stats in the Command Stash will now result in gaining Unassembled Components instead of Command Experience (CXP). All other items still disintegrate into CXP. We’ve made this change to allow for a more robust way of earning the Unassembled Components to upgrade equipment. This brings increased value to each Command Crate earned through gameplay.
  • The cost of all items on the Unassembled Component (UC) vendor has been increased. Note that the rate players earn UC from existing sources has also been increased at the same rate. This change is to account for the changes to disintegration.
  • The number of Unassembled Components that each player currently possesses has been increased by the same ratio as the cost increase noted above.
  • Unassembled Components are no longer found in the currency tab, instead they are a stackable, bind on legacy item in your inventory.
  • The Intermittent Iokath Conduit and Large Iokath Statue decoration will no longer show up in the decoration UI, as they are not currently available in the game.
  • Players can now deposit and withdraw credits from their Legacy Banks.

Warzones

  • The Unassembled Components earned for completing Warzones has been increased.
  • dead on arrival

Wow, they make using missiles in GSF even worse… unbelievable. The guys responsible for GSF are the biggest idiots at EA IdiotWare.

    • Draezele

No, they simply made a single missile do the damage it was intended to do (its other effects are still extremely useful). The other change is merely correcting a tooltip.

  • Risqu’e

“The Galactic Command interface has been removed from the game.”
Thats a good start. Now finish it off!

    • Spoiler

Galactic command is staying, only the interface is being removed lol.

  • HMH

Im down for the option of not playing the pack opening mini game, i hope it includes all the various kinds of packs we earn in game nowadays.

Lowering Gunslingers options of already very weak self heals is lame.

Still struggling to understand why time is being put into retooling group finder, for the second time now, instead of producing actual content.

    • Ben Gimson

It’s to give the illusion of something new being added.

      • HMH

Id rather they open a new door on Odessan to reveal a broom closet on the other side.

    • Havik79

I am mostly a solo player, so if it means no more pressing planetary missions 50 times just to get the daily area I want then I am happy for it.

      • HMH

Well, I hope they got it right for you finally.

        • Havik79

Next month I will be subbed for 5 years solid, my wants in this game should matter just as much as people running ops/pvp non stop.

          • HMH

            Yup

  • Ahmet Yılmaz

“The Galactic Command interface has been removed from the game.”

Does this mean preffered player will get more action in the game?

    • Havik79

That means the interface to launch chapter fp, wz so on, GC is not going, so no you still get nothing unless your a sub.

  • Whitedragon

that’s quite a list ….we can have this figured out by lunch

  • Did they confirm that we don’t need a new/stupid Level 11 augment Kit for these new higher tier augments? I’m not re-kitting 100 players again….

    • I would be really surprised if they didn’t

    • Bogdan Paunescu

      legacy gear….

    • ConcernedGuest

You don’t need … just don’t do it. You can still run all nightmare mode operations (sorry, forgot… master mode nonsense) with existing gear.

  • Made Up Name

“The Galactic Command interface has been removed from the game.”

no author in history has ever stringed together a more beautiful sentence…

    • Darth Ji’inx

“Interface” being the key word. GC is staying.

  • SimonP

May the sparkle be with everybody!

    • Purewitz

May the sparkle serve you well!

  • Looks like a solid update. I would have liked to see credits and UCs go legacy wide in the currency tab be w/e.

  • Annoyed30something

“The Datacron also includes a full set of level 70 gear…” Notice how they didn’t mention the item level of the gear… coincidence? Do you think they have the balls to make it so you automatically get 246 or 248 gear with this “datacron”?

    • ThatGuy

It damn well better be 248 for that price. Other games sell max level boosts substantially cheaper than what it takes to purchase 2K worth of CC. Wonder what their over-inflated starting price on the GTN will be. 50M maybe? I remember when 10M was a crap load of money in this game. Now, it seems my toons fart credits for my companions to collect in my wake.

      • Guest

The new level booster is the same price as the old level booster and the old one gave blue quality gear. I highly doubt they will give you 248 gear.

        • Kaelin

May be without set bonus, it will be fair to people who grined hard to get it and to people who will waste so much cc on item. Not that gear matters all that much outside of operations and pvp

        • ThatGuy

Well, there really ought to be two “datacrons”. One for start at 70 for 2K, and comes with a set of 246 gear at the least. Another to boost any toon level 1-69 to 70, perhaps for 1K, and comes with no gear. Although, I don’t know why anyone level 69 would want to buy/use a boost like that.

Frankly, I can level a toon from 1-70 within 24 hours of play time, typically less. However, I primarily play Imp. I do have 3 Pub toons below level 70 that I would love to boost to 70 for certain achievements. However, I really don’t care for playing Pub side, and the only reason I have said toons is because of those achievements I’m after. A simple straight-to-70 token would work better for me. Plus, I use legacy gear. Wouldn’t care if a token like that came with any.

    • John Kosto

A full set of 248 gear with 2000CC? Are you mad? Do you actually support “pay-to-win”? I generally don’t care about what gear others have in this game, especially if they got the gear by farming content, whether it is easy or hard content, but I surely hope that the full set of gear with the Master’s Datacron will be AT MOST a 236 set. Even a 242 set would be a joke and an insult to everyone who plays this game and levels regularly.

  • Anybody remember when they got rid of comms because “there was just too many types of currency in the game”? Well, even with the Unassembled going Legacy tomorrow, we will now have:

    Light Side Tokens
    Dark Side Tokens
    Command Tokens
    Fleet Commendations
    Iokath Power Shards
    Alliance Recon Data (Train crap)
Chiss Recon Data (or whatever the new FP currency is called)
    Fleet Commendation
    Any Ranked Season Tokens

    WHAT.A.COMPLETE.JOKE.

    • And that’s just the Currency tab. We also have credits and unassembled going legacy, and all the rep items from every event/faction (Ziost, Gree, Eternal Championship, Rackghoul, Bounty Contracts, Nightlife, Cartel Market Certificates, all 3 types of Jawa Junk, and I’m sure i’m missing more)…

      • Mer Vila

Because it was only a lie to put the command rank in place and make the grinding neverding. That´s all.

    • Cameron Terry

Remember when we had planetary comms and all that bullshit?
      xD

      • ConcernedGuest

yes, the good ‘ol times, when my trooper tank had a blaster rifle shooting mortar rounds, ion blasts, high impact bolts, up to 30 m as expected from a DAMNED RIFLE, had a hand granate to throw

        … argh

        • Paulo Gomes

That, to me, has got to be the greatest joke in this game: how ranged classes like Vanguards/Powertechs or Scoundrels/Operatives are really melee classes…But hey, it’s the way BW wanted these classes “developed”…

    • A joke indeed. I remember this exactly as you did. Making all planetary comms the same made sense. No worries though, I am sure in 6.0 we will be back to 2 different comms and no unassembled gear with a whole new system to gear up! Ugh.

      • Bryan

The planetary comms was actually a good call. Getting rid of the tiered gear tokens was not.

We all they just made up the too many tokens thing as an excuse to try and validate loot box leveling. How’s that working out for Battlefront II again?

    • branky

      Legacy xp?

    • yellow-power ftw

      forgot Legacy XP

and then we got still some that come to our inventory, like ziost, raghoul has 4 or 5 different, BHunter event and championship items.

  • Havik79

Some nice stuff, some sucky stuff, Daily Rewards: .
To be eligible for this reward you must queue for all available content.

Yeah great, so you have to que for HM an hope to not end up with a lowbie and getting the CZ FP with the droid in the water.

Lowering the rewards for hammer station is a douche move, its always the one that pops.

    • Pepa

😀 And do you know why it pops? Cause ppl knew it gives more exp so they only queued up for HS. Its always a mind blown when you notice how stupid this community is.

    • Petan

I also don’t like that they lowered rewards for Hammer. But there are so many morons in this game, who are just farming Hammer Station and Fractured over and over again, that I do understand it. By now I’m so sick of doing that FP, that I always leave group immediately when HS pops for me…

      • Havik79

What it is, is once again EA is punishing people for finding a loophole in their shitty system.

  • guest20151008

Problem with “Role-In-Need” philosophy, isn’t that people aren’t incentivized to play. Its that there are just not enough people playing those roles. You look at any MMO you will see the same. Not enough healers, not enough tanks. Reasons are varied and not really tied to incentivisation. Not as fun a play style. Or people don’t want to have that responsibility. Or others, and I don’t think offering higher rewards will change that.

    • JCharms

I disagree, it helps the pops if the rewards are enticing enough. In FF14, they offer what would be equivalent to BIS augments which you can choose, but ones you can’t craft. so you can aug all your alts as well. The carrot always wins!

      • ghostbeetle

        Captain Carrot?

        • JCharms

          Carrot = Incentives.

    • Hawke

I’m afraid I disgree too, playing dps is so much less stressful than tanking or healing. Incentives help.

      • Paulo Gomes

Playing dps is a lot harder than people think. Playing it WELL I mean. In my considerable experience in this game, the blame is put on tanks and healers so many times, when in fact it’s bad dps players that are REALLY to blame. Granted, a bad tank or healer can really break a group. But you can spot that right away, while a dps is harder to spot.

I’m a terrible tank, but I can do it if it’s required of me. And these days, with the amount of aggro a tank generates you have to really be a mess playing the class to screw up. Unless you don’t know your mechanics, of course.

Healer might just be the easiest type you can play. No set rotation, least amount of aggro generated as a rule, and if the tank and dps do their job properly you just have to keep everybody up. Just keep in mind that there are those that unless they are running the whole FP/Op with 99,9999% of their health bars full you are not doing your job properly loooooooool…

        • John Kosto

I don’t know how long it has been since you played heals in SWTOR, but these days almost every Hard Mode Flashpoint is significantly harder than it used to be, especially with damage received. In fact, I think that I always have a harder time healing a Hard Mode FP, rather than a Hard Mode Operation (with the exception of some bosses like Torque or Draxus and a few more, where all hell can break loose).

I personally think that DPS is the easiest role to play. But that’s not the reason I mostly DPS. It’s because it’s actually more fun. If I want to push myself, then I will heal instead. This is a different type of fun, which also gives you the feeling of accomplishment.

I will admit that they have also increased the DPS checks in many fights in operations, making some of them ridiculously high (like Styrak in SNV HM for example). Groups should be able to finish SNV HM without needing 5 people who will actually do a LOT of dps (one of them being the off-tank, required to switch role, otherwise it’s almost impossible).

          • Paulo Gomes

Oh it’s been a long time. Probably close to a year now. Or more. Yeah, I might be out of the loop a little bit. Or a big bit for that matter lol. So take my gaming impressions with a grain of salt.

      • Ben Gimson

Heh, I always play a tank, no matter what game I’m playing. Love being able to take a shitload of damage, and in swtor it’s not too hard most of the time. It’s only a pain when you’re up against a boss that drops aggro, or even drops aggro then can’t be taunted.

Although it probably is more stressful than playing a DPS.

    • HMH

Im waiting to see how quick tanks and healers learn to game the system.

    • yellow-power ftw

in specific game tanks dont have so much work to do (aside OPs), i mean OPs and FPs are the main reason that trinity needs. MMFPs, takethem all, and see what tank needs to know as special, nothing. tanks just tank and dps just dps. Unfortunately healers are the core prob, thats why are always lesser than rest classes.

    • Anca Gaspar

Not enough tanks because on imp side almost all juggs are idiots and there are no more powertechs.

      • Mark Lodl

I really think you need therapy for this force user complex, and wasting hate on a companion…pixels…code…etc. You do know this shit isn’t real life right :P?

        • Anca Gaspar

You misunderstood me. I couldnt care less about comps, thats why i laugh at the idiots obsessed with jaesa, she is not even real, just the stupid fantasy of some nerd.

  • Przemysław Narbutt

WTF i thought that masters datacron is a open world item

    • Neg Sani

It was an incredibly dumb marketing decision to name a cartel market leveling boost item a “datacron” when it has nothing to do with the datacrons in the game. You won’t be the last person this confuses.

  • Master Datacron for 2k CC ? rly ? ……. I dont have any words to comment that. I think Disney Director must call like in case Battlefront II – what EA doing SWTOR…..

    • Errtai

To be honest, I like having this option. It’s obviously not for everybody, but there are some people who want to get to end-game asap in order to participate in ops.

I personally always enjoyed learning a new spec step-by-step and also enjoyed the vanilla story. Even back during my hardcore SWTOR days I always liked going slowly, instead of rushing everything and reaching to end-game as fast as I can. So this item is most definitely not for me. But not everyone thinks like me so it’s nice to have such an option in the game.

They do few things right recently and to be honest I believe this is one of them.

      • Yea its good change … but it could be a less cheaper like 1200 ~ 1300 CC not 2K – I not referal abuser on Korriban 🙂

      • ConcernedGuest

And then you get into a simple story mod ops with a newbe who just bought this character , has no idea of gameplay, of how his class works … oh no. sry, wrong way.

And the regular addicted player with already 20 or more chars has the time to level up regularly.
But well, we will see, we will see

        • Will buy lvl 70 for just ERP

It’s story mode, don’t poop your pants. People can teach and overcome a new player. If the person isn’t unable to learn or cries over criticism they’ll be kicked.

        • Paulo Gomes

I can see where you are coming from, and I agree to a point.

But that ship you’re talking about sailed away a long time ago. There used to be a learning curve in this game, ages past. Not anymore.

Remember the very end of the Jedi Consular story where you had to interrupt a certain character from doing his Earthquake power, or you would die? That’s what I’m talking about. Introducing mechanics gradually to the players, making them learn how to play a class.

I remember not so long ago queuing for random HM Flashpoints with my Madness Sorc and the group was already doing the FP, “Hammer Station”. They were stuck at the first boss, the droid, saying it was “impossible” to kill. That the healer simply could not heal the tank, the droid had a power that killed him. I proceeded to explain that “Targeted Laser” put a stack on the tank, and no matter how much you healed him he would die. You had to cleanse him. Obviously nobody knew what a cleanse was. The healer didn’t even have it on his/her quickbar! A healer without a cleanse…

Fortunately It was my Madness Sorc, the one toon I always did group stuff on, because before the damned nerf I could self heal for about 50% of all the healing I needed. But that’s ANOTHER rant lol… I told the guys I would cleanse, no problem. Boss done and dusted.

So yeah, you’re right of course. But I don’t think it will make much of a difference. This shit started when they introduced Tactical FP’s. Why stop there lol?

  • Éamon McCraith

So now I have to queue for PVP and PVE and GSF in order to get rewards? If I don’t want to play either of those I’m screwed?

    • Eban

”Solo Window: All Heroics, Daily Areas, Events (When Eligible) and flashpoints can be easily queued from the new solo window.”
Not sure how that works but think it means you can still gain rewards solo.

    • yellow-power ftw

not do pve, not do pvp, not do gsf, what will you do then? dont like group ? even heroics, and daily areas have group missions ^^

      • JustBefore TheEnd

I’m not sure if they mean you have to queue for everything to get the rewards. Before you had to select all fps in order to get the daily reward from mmode. What if i don’t want to play fp and i want to queue only for pvp, or the other way around.

      • Éamon McCraith

Well that’s why I wrote “either” of them as opposed to “any” of them… I hate PVP and GSF, meaning I usually only play PVP content.

  • Hawke

*Decorations have been added to the Mission reward for Solo-mode Flashpoints.
*Players can now deposit and withdraw credits from their Legacy Banks.

    Excellent.

  • branky

Put those datacron tokens inside the chance cubes, that shd boost their value a bit 🙂

  • Matt Man

“The Unassembled Components earned for killing Operation bosses has been increased.”
as in they are going to drop some now? i was doing ops all day i didnt get any

    • Petan

They drop UCs in master mode. Nothing is being changed basically, they are just increasing the amount of UC across the board so that they are able to fine tune the UCs you get from disintegrations…

  • Roger Pleb

The Galactic Command interface has been removed from the game.

    Keyword : Interface

GC is still staying, don’t get to excited lel.

    • widdah luh

I’m still excited, because I never liked the GC window.

      🙂

Problem is, there is a high chance that BioWare replaced it with something worse.
BioWare has proven that they are absolutely horrible at UI.

  • I think 2,000CC for that new datacron is way too high. Try 200.

  • Bogdan Paunescu

so nerf classes and then add new augment tier to compensate and create a credit sink…

    • gua543

“Hey guys, we just tuned all the classes to perform according to our expectations. Here’s some new augments to go above them and reach the same numbers as before we started the nerfs.”

  • I don’t get the uproar over the 2000 CC’s for the Master Datacron thing. That’s been the going price for the level 60 and now level 65 character tokens. This is essentially the same thing, but better, for the same price. You make a level 1 character, use the token, and now you are instantly 70 with level 70 starter gear. Presumably you might not have any crafting skills, so that might be bad for some, but I drop the default crap and pick up biochem anyway now that reusable stims are back. In any event, the price seems right, or at least on par with how they price things ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • Foff

huh,you all in for being fucked up?!most of you can go play WoW or shit alike.swtor went stupid, guys were able to destroy what is an all time fun game to play;they turned in to be the give me your mony or else….
sorry motherfuckers.expection made for most of you ,who are not even players

    • Sounds like you are too poor to play. Step outside and get some fresh air and possibly get a job. You may experience additional benefits to life by doing these suggestions…

    • CRYPT from CATACOMBZ

I went to play WoW, because SWTOR is recycladed noncontent p2p shit. Enjoy that

  • Anca Gaspar

More nerfs for merc.. and my entire guild going to play Neverwinter.. well fuck you developers for ruining my fun . And for leaving me guildless for the third time. NO, i won’t join another guild to see it gone, 200 different individuals quitting because you just hate a class and want to see it extinct and gone.

    • Gushy Gushka

If was up to me, all gunner class will be completely nerfed to point 1 hit. 1 hit with lighsaber and bye bye, Star Wars is about THE FORCE not about some idiot with a gun. Not menton how idiot with a gun can kill Sith or Jedi or hahaha The Emperor (omg). Learn play Star Wars not Counter-Strike ! Better go play something else.
And more info in advanced if you wish. Ginners will be far more nerfed with next Expansion.
I have noting against gunners i have against that they match with Jedi and Sith thats all. In WZ i see 99% idiots with guns becouse its easy to kill from distance yeah ? Well that time will finaly over.

      • Anca Gaspar

Then vote for Jedi Consular to get back Zenith, please? If you are so committed to Force-using classes.

      • Anca Gaspar

Han Solo was a GUNNER. Lando was a GUNNER. Jango/Boba were GUNNERS. So fuck off, you idiotic bitch ! Pump gifts into that idiotic PROSTITUTE jaesa of yours qand stop complaining about us gunner classes.

        • Gushy Gushka

Haha i do not complain i just kill them 🙂 In wz i look only for gunners love to kill them :)So where Han solo land ? Clarisian ? Boba (worm food)? Do you see them kill a Jedi or Sith ?

          • Anca Gaspar

            Blow me, bitch.

            • Diadas

I have never seen some one that’s so easy to rage period 👏

        • Gushy Gushka

Watch your laguage i didnt insult you ! Or you probably wanna tell me what is your name on the game. Tell me ir gunner name and i will see you in WZ!
Will show you who bitch is.

          • Anca Gaspar

Lol my ingame names are : Althaire-daevaris, Adentha kral, Hyrdynn, Lyrabeth, Thus thusnelda. So feel free to curse me as much as you want, i dont care,BITCH.

      • Bogdan Paunescu

While I like the force aspect of starwars more, starwars is not about the force, it’s about worlds, religions, conflicts.

        • Gushy Gushka

Agree but most of all is conflict about dark side and light side,(Force users) Do you ever see Star Wars movies compare who have bigger gun ?
I just say that my opinion is. EA turn great Star Wars game in to a Counter-Strike. That has to change it will if EA dont want game to die. But you will see next espansion 🙂 I love to see what gunners will do after 🙂 Start play next OP Jedi or Sith class ?

          • Gushy Gushka

I have no ptoblem that someone play a gunner. If game was balanced no problem. But it is not. Its right 6 players cant kill a single merc becouse he has 3 lives + monster defence ? Tell me how you will win a wz game with 2-3 of them ? I can posit screenshot from 8 players 7 mercs and 1 sorc healer.
If EA banance all classes will left only players skills! Then game will became interesting again. That is my personal opinion.

      • Anca Gaspar

Why dont you wz as a merc if all you’re after are components to gear your alts? Who the fck is forcing you to play on jedi consular sage or other shit weak classes?

    • BroBa Fettz

Merc dfc and self heal utilities got waaaay out of hand compared to every other class, ranged or not.

      • Anca Gaspar

all “influencers” are SITH WARRIORS. all WORSHIP that disgusting garbage jaesa-garrison-whore-willsaam. and you wonder WHY mercs are always nerfed?? next fp i’ll let them die, fuck your fp rewards, if you die in Athiss at last boss you deserve to be left on the floor.

        • gua543

Bruh, stop raging at warriors just because your Mako looks underage. Besides, mercs had godlike defensives, literally three lives. If you disagree with that, then you are simply delusional.

Also, do I understand correctly that your entire guild was playing mercs and they decided to abandon ship when it became not ridiculously OP anymore?

          • abaddonsmummy

Yes they they are quitting, all…ahem…200 of them according to Anca.
Don’t remember seeing that many mercs running about about bet hey….XD

            • Gushy Gushka

They running becouse they not OP anymore. Its just really a simple some players play what is OP for the moment. I play 2 classes for 6 years and i will never play a gunner Op or not.

            • Anca Gaspar

They werent all mercs, but they made a deal to leave if more nerfs occur. I was like wth guys, it is just a game, they were like stfu, we have to leave.

          • Anca Gaspar

You juggs and maras are useless, bitched and moaned about not winning in pvp because of mercs. Swtor is not about pvp, not only about pvp, so shut up. You want mercs to be weak, yet you like when a merc saves your sorry ass in fp,i believe thats called hipocrisy. About Mako, i dont give a damn about her, so feel free to trash her as much as you want.

            • gua543

You do realize the problem with the defensives of the mercs was pretty much only in PvP, right? If you need such OP defensives in PvE as a heal or dps, you might wanna check your tank and in which corner he decided to go afk.

              • Anca Gaspar

So if your boss at work cuts gradualy your payment check because he thinks you are using too much money on beer and cigars you are ok with it? Even if you dont drink or smoke? I dont pvp at all, so why should my merc be punished for whats happening in pvp? I needed good defenses and good healing abilities to compensate for inept players in group activities, Cademimu for example.

              • gua543

To use your comparison, mercs were getting insane monthly bonuses to their pay compared to everyone else. True, they were surviving on minimum wage for a long time. But the company has decided that the employee of the month bonus pay is no longer going to be handled to the merc department. Now they get regular bonuses, just as everyone else.

Also, Cademimu? If you had used any of the flashpoints from the Revan Reborn storyline (Assault of Tython/Korriban Incursion/whatever the one on Manaan was called/Legacy of the Rakata/Blood Hunt/Battle of Rishi) or the Lost Island fp, I may have agreed with you. But Cademimu?

              • Anca Gaspar

Soon it will be over, cause the bh class will be completely deleted and replaced with imperial trooper, basically a clone of republic troopers, but with shit comps like in that idiotic game mass efect. You don’t believe me, ask Jynlia and Emehara on Darth Malgus server, they claimed to have first hand information. Or that disgusting bitch Jenny Flynn on official swtor servers, shes either an alternate account of Musco or his bitch, people get banned only for mentioning her in topics, so be careful what you say to “her”.

              • Mark Lodl

Compensate?!? We don’t think highly of ouselves at all do we?

    • Zefram Mann

I’m sorry you can’t enjoy playing a class unless it is ridiculously overpowered the way merc/commando was for far too long. Maybe learn to play instead of throwing a tantrum.

    • Mattboy19

I already saw some guilds getting fucked up because of class changes as many people just left. I guess it can happen to some guilds.

  • Foff

and still,you/we comeback here for more misery.they say it love’s company;i would say

  • Foff

it is hard to understand why pple like to be fucked;as hard as it is, to understand you dont really fuck, you just being fucked, while you think you fucking up shit lol

  • Emprah

Dulfy would you be kind enough to give server downtime estimates in these posts please?

  • yellow-power ftw

all the updates for Unassembled Components…….. darn i love it.

    • John Kosto

Legacy credits should have been applied since YEARS ago… so that you don’t have to log in and log out with 2-3 toons in order to send mail with money from one toon to the other. How low IQ must someone have to not realize how much easier and faster it will be by having credits in legacy bank?

      • Bogdan Paunescu

true, but still not pleased with how they implemented it. Why not a legacy wallet not legacy bank…I hate having to log in, deposit, log out, log in and withdraw. Why not being able to do this from the legacy family tree or something.

    • Ben Gimson

Must have a pretty low IQ yourself if you can’t see why people are asking for that…

  • Er

Was/is the new boss finished? Only thing that matters

  • d+f0666666666

Great Hexit just sucks. They really hate us at BioWare.

    • Zefram Mann

What a terrible shame that we don’t have literally dozens of other companions to choose from.

      Oh wait.

      • ThatGuy

This was the other possible companion “reward” for the DvL event from 2016. Light side won, so everyone got a Jedi companion. They’d already created this one, so now everyone who got the achievements finally got it. Still, you’re right in that we have almost every NPC known to every class’s story available for companions, now. It’s not worth having more than 9 companions – 1 active with you, and the other 8 available for crafting

  • John Kosto

“Due to the amount of changes being made to Group Finder, many group Missions will have their progress reset.”

    Fuck that.

  • hylonomus

Wait a second. Suddenly you can’t queue in GF if you have only one FP selected?!

Here’s my story: I’ve been patiently grinding the most bugged FP ever, that is KDY, for achievements. I have only one specific boss kill left to be done forever with KDY. My last +/- 10 attempts have been unsuccesful due to bugs or RNG rolling other two bosses. So now I need two RNG succeses: correct FP and correct boss. This is unbelivable.

    • hylonomus

also: reusing Manaan (with destroyed Ahto City clearly visible on the surface) in planet view for Copero is lazy and cheap AF.

      • magictrader

KDY has a known bug right now, so they stopped you from queueing for it specifically. The only ways you can enter it are solo/random RNG.
This bug is that if anyone presses esc/spacebar in the conversation that takes you to the 2nd ship, you get sent back to the shuttle and you can’t enter.

        • hylonomus

This is the bug I was desribing in my comment. By conversation you mean Admiral Ranken?

          • Isjaya

I feel your pain, I needed 4 Major Benes and it felt like forever grinding through that “last boss” RNG. I cannot encourage you enough, I personally did them solo as a stealther, scenarios are quicker (except maybe armory and prisoners). I actually needed 24 KDY to get 4 Major Benes (which is double compared to expected number), so get your zen on and grind away!

            • hylonomus

Thanks for your post and encouragement. I’ve decided to solo it, so far no luck (only other bosses) but I think I”l just grind it with no rush, when it happens, it happens!

  • Burritos

IF SOMEONE IS GOING INSIDE the new FP, DONT DO S T O R Y Mode, i’ve lost 1 hour in that damn fp, and now i have to play in on Solo, in order to get mission done. DONT do story.

    • Fififax

      Did this too.

    • CT1140

Well it clearly states to complete the mission in SOLO mode, not STORY.

This is a question of not being able to read and just wanting to jump in right away

      • Bogdan Paunescu

For me there was no SOLO mode option at the terminal. only STORY, VETERAN and MASTER. Only after completing the STORY mode, the SOLO mode appeared at the bottom after MASTER. Other people experienced the same issue. Clearly a bug.

      • Burritos

Sure. But for 1st time Bioware is making such change go live.

    • ThatGuy

I had also done this by mistake, and noticed it halfway through. Decided to finish it anyway, especially since I spent so much time on the trash mobs. However, I thought they had done away with “Story Mode” flashpoints a while back, and replaced them all with “Solo Mode” which included the droid companion. They screw that up with this update, or make a stealth change?

  • Sean Jackson

Oh my God, so many great changes that I’ve been waiting for forever. The bind to legacy components in particular, I’m excited..

  • king8011

Do I have to switch servers know cause my current server is satele sham and its full so I can play my main or alts

  • Concerned SWTOR Person

The previous sparkle that was in the eyes moved, .. now they “fixed it” by making it static and it’s actually horrible, the new eye texxtures are good, but the static “sparkle/reflection”? just don’t do them justice anymore.

  • Havik79

They removed the daily reward for doing the daily areas, what a rip.

  • lazylordking

A new option has been added to the Preferences window, under User Interface > Cartel Market called Use Pack Viewer. This option is on by default. If the player turns it off, when a Cartel Market Pack is opened the items will be placed directly in your Item Stash without the pack viewer animation being played. this is the best thing.

  • Well, holy shit – a GSF map.

  • Troomis

AWESOME!! If anyone needs a guild come over to on the Star Forge server! We only have a few requirements. If you wish to run any story mode content with us will need to be in at least 236 gear with full augments(this ensures we can take the bosses down because our dps is shit!) RP, lots of ERP, do you like grabbing toons by their you know what? So do we! So contact Troomis, Bacon or Assryder in game for an invite today!

    • ThatGuy

I’ve seen Legacy’s posts on Fleet, and on the swtor.com guild recruitment forum. Sounds like a decent enough guild. However, I have come across members of Legacy throughout the game’s maps, and I’ve checked those players’ achievements. Did you guys just get a massive influx of new members or something? Everyone’s stats were that of a total noob. Hardly anything completed for WZ’s, FP’s, Ops, and other game content.

      • Hoopty

It’s because they are constantly recruiting due to their high attrition rate. The inner circle are elitist jerks who can’t fight their way out of a paper bag and rude af. They like to come off as this nice guild who does lots of content but their hm team is a joke.

  • Alex Veis-Horn

So, you need to withdraw credits everytime from legacy bank? Why they didn’t do it like with mats that are sharable and you don’t need to take them directly? Or I miss some settings?

    • ThatGuy

No, you’re not missing anything. They implemented a dumb method of legacy credit sharing.

      • Alex Veis-Horn

Lol. Ty a lot. I just didn’t even thought that it will be restricted to use only at legacy bank.

        • ThatGuy

I’m sure it’s another marketing gimmick, encouraging players to spend Cartel Coins on Legacy Storage Summons

          • Darth Gnaw

I think its because if they pooled the credits from all of your characters inventories the F2p crowd’s credit limit would come into play. They dont want to remove it but they would be worse off from the pooling if they didnt.

            • ThatGuy

Granted, the dev team can do more than I can, as I don’t know jack about code writing. Also, I understand the game’s engine is proprietary, was a prototype, and this is the only game using it as far as I am aware. However, that’s a lame excuse this late in the game. I wouldn’t believe it if they told me it’s because of the complexity of the game’s engine as to why they still run into snags with patches. Honestly, I believe it’s what you said, that the dev team is lacking. And, like you said, a total cluster with every major patch, and even minor ones.

  • ThatGuy

Anyone know of a quick way to get the new mats for the new augments? I refuse to spend around 100M credits on the GTN just for the mats, or augments themselves, to gear a single toon with them.

    • Disqus this

Best reliable way we are finding is to get a group of people that doesn’t care about PVP and run Rank PVP WZ. Just pretend you want to be there. Even if you run around like a chicken with your head cut off.

Win or loss you will get the mats. No one really runs Nightmare OPS and relying on RNG crates has always been shit.

Show up to ranked PVP and win or loss you will get what you need.

      • ThatGuy

I played a few rounds of ranked PvP last night until I completed the daily, and quickly realized no rewards came with the daily/weekly except for credits and CXP. I saw someone else post this bug on the swtor.com forum, but it’s obvious other players are getting rewards. Wonder how long it’ll take them to fix that for those of us who aren’t getting jack for doing ranked

        • Disqus this

I hear that is happening to some. This patch like many of biowares patches is filled with bugs but this one in particular is just a cluster “F” of bugs and biowares lack of talent, ability and what appears to be little to no attention to detail is to blame.

          • ThatGuy
