    I knew it was coming.
I prayed it would not come to pass, but tragedy like this cannot be averted.
    Choya is a thing now

    • kazerniel

so next ones are quaggan gathering tools? I would actually get those xD

      • Alot

Quaggan’s are not a crafting resource at this point despite their viable exploitation in the crafts of leather working, cooking, artificing and jewel crafting. I want a quaggan mood bracelet 🙁

  • Ardenwolfe

    Yes! Sold.

  • Raizel

    Where. Is. Traileeeeer?!!!

  • Ainseland

    wooohooo CHOYA DANCE

  • archie

Choya tools are perfectly fine and the price is quite a standard for gathering tools. But I find Gnashblade package being not even close to good deal. It’s so average. Random weapon, single outfit, dyes and chest keys. Only new Jackal skin could make up for this bundle.

I have to wonder what on earth a Choya logging tool has to do with metal ores, but meh, whatever.

Btw, those Cloth/Leather (and presumably now this Ore) glyphs are not as useful as they first seem. Unlike the Scavenger Glyph (which gives you random fine mats of any tier), these 3 glyphs give you back mats based on the tier of the node you’re harvesting from. If you’re a level 80 on level 80 mats, this means that you mostly get back Silk/Gossamer, Thick/Hardened, and Mithril/Ori, and prices for those mats have largely slumped.

I think these glyphs are very useful – for example if you are harvesting iron nodes you will likely get wool scraps with a Tailor glyph.

Mitril meh who harvests that outside of a Daily?

      • Ares Zax

Depends on your harvesting habits, I guess. I do have mules parked in various low level maps for harvesting dailies, but basically those guys don’t provide enough return to justify the cost of deliberately buying multiple tools for the glyph. On the other hand, something like the Watchwork glyph basically means a 33% chance for an extra 1.5 silver per strike, so it’s still worthwhile for me to harvest everything when I’m running around in LS maps.

        • Pressed Rat and Warthog

What multiple tools? I use a shared inventory slot.

I like to think the lesser value is intentional. While the harvesting glyph system is healthier then the old system, the players who went out of their way to get the dog, unstable or clockwork harvesters were burnt hard by this change.

The only part of it I don’t like is the increased harvesting speed glyph, not because I’m against its addition but because its going to add another slight burn at some point in the future. Harvesting all my home nodes is a 10-12 minutes exercise. Its glorious to do but also irritating. At some point they will add a node to the home instance which will give some sort of short lived harvesting speed buff (because it is an inevitable novelty) which will burn the main use for getting the harvesting speed glyph to begin with.
