Bioware corrected some information they put on the Los Angeles Cantina event flash drives regarding the upcoming Bounty Contract week event.

Some Corrections For The Los Angeles Cantina Flash Drives | 06.19.2013, 10:27 PM

Hey folks,

This week I learned about some incorrect information that went out on our flash drives which we gave away during the LA Cantina Tour. I wanted to highlight what was incorrect and to provide the correct information, including some updated screenshots with the correct rewards!

The first thing which led to some confusion is that the new event coming around Game Update 2.3 is called Bounty Contract Week, not the Bounty Hunter event. We didn’t mean to have the added confusion around implying an event was named after a class. Bruce gave a little bit of information on the event, here.

Even though it’s part of Game Update 2.3 we are planning to start the Bounty Contract Week on August 13th. Bounty Contract Week is a monthly event, so if you miss it the first time, don’t worry – it will return next month! The event above was actually teased in our Community Meet & Greet last week and we’ll be sharing more details soon. Here is a snippet for now:

Bounty Contract Week provides new missions with full voice-over that will take you on a hunt for high-value bounty targets across the galaxy. Each bounty contract scales to your level, from 15 to 55, providing experience, credits, Commendations, and Reputation with the Bounty Brokers Association.

Now, onto the screenshots! First was some incorrect armor screenshots. There were two new armor sets shown. One of them is not actually present in the game in that color variation which you can see here.

The other, is in the game in 2.3, but it is a part of the new daily hub reputation not the Bounty Contract Week rep. You can see that armor here.

As a note, this armor has changed slightly. The colors are a bit more vibrant and it has some new "attachments," I am going to work on getting an updated screenshot.

What you will want to see are the new armor sets that are rewards for the Bounty Contract Week Rep! Here they are, reward 1 and reward 2.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion.

Start: July 4th @11am GMT

End: July 8th @7am GMT

On July 9th we will launch Nightmare Mode Scum and Villainy as a part of Game Update 2.2.2! This Nightmare Mode Operation is currently up on Public Test Server!

On July 23rd look for a return of the Relics of the Gree Event for a nice two week long run:

Per community request the event will scale up to level 55 on this next run, including better loot rewards, commendations, and achievements

Possible drops include a new Sphere Transport Enclosure vehicle

August 6th is still our target date for Game Update 2.3. *Watch for lots more details on the features below in upcoming blogs, mailers, and community meet and greets!* Some of the bigger parts of this update are:

New Flashpoints

New Daily Area

Game-wide color vibrancy improvement

New Recurring Event: Bounty Contract Week

Game Update 2.4 is also in the pipe and being worked on for an October release. Even though our mantra is smaller more frequent patches this particular update is shaping up to be very big, with tons of new content and big PvP updates especially targeting Ranked play. We’ll start sharing details next month. If you absolutely *have* to glimpse the potential future, enter a Force trance and focus on these key phrases. Oricon. Warzone Arenas. Dread Masters.

This isn’t an exhaustive list, and we are also working on some longer term stuff. As we get closer we’ll have a lot more juicy details on what’s above. Keep your eyes peeled to the forums and SWTOR.com for more information!

The effigies are character bound and are server specific so you can either guest to another server or use an alt to lit all 50 effigies you need for the achievement. These effigies also seem to respawn after ~30 minutes

You can move immediately after igniting the effigy without having to wait for it to finish.

GW2 June 18 patch notes for the second installments of Dragon Bash

June 18th Addendum

Starting Tuesday, June 18th

The Dragon Effigy Lighting Ceremony single-player instance, Memorials on the Pyre, can be accessed by talking to Inspector Kiel.

Festival planners have added effigies to the explorable areas leading to Lion’s Arch. Players who dance before the effigies will be granted a health bonus of up to 10%.

What better way of celebrating Dragon Bash than with an epic fireworks display? This bundle provides 10 charges of red, blue, green, and yellow display fireworks, as well as a one-time dragon fireworks finale which grants 50% magic find boost to all nearby allies watching the show.

Note: We understand how exciting fireworks can be, but if you drop the bundle you will lose all remaining charges of the display fireworks. If you had not used the finale fireworks, a bundle will be created at your feet that, if recovered, will allow you to still use the one-time dragon finale.

Starting Wednesday, June 19th

A new story character, Marjory Delaqua, can be found in the Dead End Bar, a single-player instance in the Eastern Commons of Divinity’s Reach.

A new cinematic will introduce Marjory Delaqua in talks with Logan Thackeray.

The Scene of the Crime, a single-player story instance, opens June 19th. Investigator Kiel will allow access when the story is progressed.

Players with Fast-Cast Ground Targeting enabled will need to stand nearly on top of the target to use the Investigation Kit.

Three of the missing suspects can be found in Lion’s Arch, the Gendarran Fields, and the Bloodtide Coast.

Starting Thursday, June 20th

The last two missing suspects can be found in the Snowden Drifts and the Caledon Forest.

After finding all the suspects, Inspector Kiel will grant the player access again to The Scene of the Crime to finish the story.

Returning to the Dead End Bar reveals extra follow-up conversations with Marjory and Kasmeer.

In the June 17 patch notes, the Dragon Bash Experience achievement was also changed.

Living World

Kills in Dragon Ball no longer progress daily PvP achievements.

Reducing “The Dragon Bash Experience” meta-achievement required total number from 10 down to 8. The Dragon Ball Achievements do not count towards its completion.
